we all know gerald barton is a complete [***]. he went to prison for writing himself into peoples wills. this has come from the police!!! they obviously know the real reasons!!! Genna toyne is up to her neck in all of this along with gerry and graham croft! this is stuff you read about in the papers and see on the tele. you don t expect to experience this sort of thing first hand. i m sure i say on behalf of all employees that we ve all been HAD and we re gutted. i m sure that if any of us had known that the company was being run by crooks we d have walked away a long timed ago. this whole mess will be sorted before long i m sure, and when it is all people involved will be prosecuted. certain people should have known better and should be VERY worried right now

jd Thankyou for your comments, may we suggest seeking some Employment Law advice, maybe a Solicitor will give you a free half an hour, or the Citizens Advice can help advise you, if the company haven't paid you for four weeks, this must be classed as theft. Have you conntacted the Police regarding this?

May we also suggest that if all the employees stick together and raise a claim in a small claims court against Gerald it will carry more weight, as we dare say we are talking about a substantial amount of money.

Maybe all or many of the telesales working in Gainsborough new about the move to Grimsby and already have jobs there? Not saying that is right but if genna toyne is involved and going there........ Just something to think about.

ok im on here. i will answer any questions also. i have been to the police and the correct people who are investigating and will keep my employees updated. I have not been involved in anything illegal and i will prove that. As for the vacancy added you will find this was put on months ago when gerry told me we may be moving offices. I was upfront about this to the people who needed to know at the time and they will clarify that. The last i knew about the grimsby office is that we was all just moving buildings. Not heard anything since that! i am unemployed and if you would like to check that out with the jobcentre you can as i too am about to claim benefits and i will meet any one any time to prove i do not and never have worked in grimsby. Dont think you all understand but I have also been let down and have no money. I have been led to believe we would all be looked after and no one would loose their jobs including me. I have worked so hard to keep people in work and helped my employees the best i could. Again any questions i can answer on here i will.

if you are going to make claims at least back them up. what am i up to my kneck in?

all i can say is about 5 people who worked at national legal assistance told me on thursday the company was shuting on a certain date and we wasnt going to be paid! Trust me this was new knowledge to me. maybe ask them where they got their information from! you all think im involved and know things, employees knew more then me. that just shows how 'close' i was to gerry.

KW: Just to confirm the date the job advert was posted was the 22.07.2011,  not months ago. What reason did Gerald give for the move? And who placed the advert for the vacancy in Grimsby?

Also is it also true that you controlled the banking after Grant left? We would suggest you knew that there was no funds to pay the staff, as the bank statement would have been an indication, don’t you think?

Are you angry that Gerald has left you to take the flack? Why haven’t you expressed publicly how you feel towards him?

i would just like to point out that none of the tele sales staff were aware of the companys motives as employees we were led to believe in what we weredoin was helping people if we had known about this previously we would not of taken the jobs
i apologise for that and im so sorry for anyone who invested in the company

fact of the matter is, the correc ppl knew what they needed to no! if i thought the tellecan staff needed to no i wud of informed them at the time. yes i controlled the banking and there were enough funds to pay telecan which they have been paid up to date if u had got ur facts right u wud know all they r owed is last weeks wage and week in hand and any hols due. the police was investigating last year and was satisfied to close the case.
sorry i wasnt specific on dates that the advert was placed regarding grimsby, i didnt even know if it wud of at all! i did my job as i was told 2 end of! as far as i knew yes there wud b a new business in grimsby, but i was to stay at gainsborough wiv my team!! of course im very angry wiv all the flack iv been left wiv! iv done nothing but try to help my staff and make the company a success.

why were the telesales staff told to tell people on the phones that we had in house solicitors? when we never did have! the police have a folder full of complaints and i m talking thousands. theres no smoke without fire as they say. the police are tryin to figure out if this is a civil case or a legal case. but the long and short of it is that these trusts and things that people have bought are not legally binding. so yes, the company have well and truely RIPPED PEOPLE OFF!!!!!!!!! these are meant to be legal documents but how can they be if they haven t been signed off by a solicitor!! please, do tell !!!!
