I assume that you have contacted the Police and local council who maybe able to warn others in the area.

I think that we should put the salesperson's names on here, that way if they appear at someone else's house they no who they are dealing with, because as Matthew said there are too many Minsters, but not many Jonty Trotters!

We can assume from that, that you have had dealings with Jonty Trotter. I had dealings with Martin Smith. I agree that we should name and shame the culprits, so if there are any other consumers that wish to share who they had dealings with, feel free.

PAUL FOX - poses as an ex policeman, and covers Warrington Area (Current Consultant)

MATHEW APPLEBY is actually called MATTHEW APPLEYARD (Current Consultant) - is linked with Axholme Nominees Limited (This name Axholme keeps appearing!)

GRAHAM CROFT is really called JOSEPH GRAHAM CROFT (is also director of Minster Legal Services (Midlands) Limited as well as Legal Assistance Limited and Legal Assistance 4 U Limited)

JONTY TROTTER is really called JOHN LOUIS TROTTER - You are allowed to call yourself a Lawyer if you give any advice on Law so that is sadly one thing that is above board.

Yes most of Minster Staff have stayed and now work for Legal Assistance as they are still in the same building, Joy Bell and Genna Toyne are just a couple of names that come to mind. However, some Minster Staff have gone over to Express Law like Alana Benson. Everyone involved with Minster/Saga/National Legal Assistance/Express Law are all part of the scam, PLEASE BE AWARE.

Just to let you know that we have been in touch with a journalist who works for a publication called The Oldies.  She has written a piece about our awful experiences with Minster Legal Services, it is due to be in that publication sometime soon.  She has named the company and noted that they changed their name from Minster Legal to Saga Legal and have now changed again.  All I hope is that it saves some of that publications readers from having any dealings with these villains.  Shame they hadn't changed their name to National Assistance Services before her deadline but I believe she does say that our "story" is ongoing.  We are thinking of contacting Rip off Britain and Watchdog - and any one else who can publicise this scandal.

We need to keep this thread going for as long as we can, because it is believed that there are many more than just these few companies listed!!!! that are doing the same thing, it is happening up and down the country.

The April 2010 article mentions that they are from "Minster Legal Services" of Gainsborough, specializing in Wills and also mentions that "Of course there is a charge if you decide to take up their offer". Furthermore it states that "For free home visits please contact Graham Carr at Minster Legal Services by telephone Gainsborough  01427 619525 or by email info@minsterlegalservices.com". I really must try them...

The telephone number that you provided has been re-directed to Express Law in Doncaster so it's pointless phoning. Their Domain for Minster Legal Services has also been re-directed to Express Law in Doncaster (http://www.expresslaw.org.uk/index.html) on the request of Gerald Malcolm Barton as he first set it up.

They have created a new Domain (http://whois.domaintools.com/nationallegalassistance.com) to accomadate National Legal Assistance (http://nationallegalassistance.com/) and Grant H Bowles has set this up. It is still in their old name of Saga Law Limited but they changed their name to Legal Assistance Limited, the company number is 07528993.

I have already sent an email to this group via the "Contact us" tab on their website telling them briefly about the ongoing problems we and many are having with this guy and his connected companies and warning them to be very careful if they continue dealing with them.  I hope they believed my email and prevent Jonny Trotter getting anywhere near any of their older and vulnerable members.

You said that you have contacted Watchdog and other programmes, is it worth others also contacting them to make them aware of the size of these problems or are they just as likely to take notice of one contact?
