They are a debt collection agency.  Either for you or previous home occupier.

Sent me a text message on 20.06.11 which I ignored as do not owe any money.  Message read "please call Wescot Credit Services urgently on 08442511034 quoting reference XXXXXXXXX.  Reg office 1 Glencairn Street, Saltcoats, KA21 5JT. No. SC84131.  Have now been telephoned yesterday and today on different number than asked to call (08442511034) but they would not tell me what it was about and I refused to give out my personal information.  They said I would HAVE to call them when I receive a letter, no letter as yet!  I think it is a total CON!!!!

These phone calls drive me crazy, first it was from "disney" offering me books now its these guys. They left me a msg to ring them back... YEAH RIGHT....

ITS WESTSCOTT THE DEBIT COLLECTION AGENCY THEY CAN'T DO I THING THEY BEEN CALLING ME FOR OVER 2YEAR FOR 55POUND JUST TELL THEM THEY NOT GETTING A PENNY

They don't have any right to harass you ,report them to Ofcom as they can fine them up to 50000 follow the link below (even though it says for silent calls you can use it for these type of calls)

Yet again got a call from this number and its always the same routine.  Phone rings, pick it up and say hello and no one speaks, hang on the phone waiting for someone to speak but no one ever does, eventually phone disconnects.  Later in the day get a withheld number call with someone asking for someone you have never heard of, tell them you know of no such person, they hang up.  What's the point, what is the bloody point, are they insane, do they have a fetish and get off on making stupid calls, I sometimes wonder.

erhmmm sounds about rite..... but isnt that just harrassment? i lukd up the area code n its not even listed so think its just a scam realy.

but i dont owe any money wots there problem well a m.p shud sort that problem out. companys like this 1 shud stop HARRASSING ppl n just F**K OFF

yeah but find that realy funny how did these ppl get my number in the 1st place....... i dont give my number out. so just block this number if it phones ppl i think its a scam

Keeps ringing my mobile but i leave it to go onto answer phone, when i listened to it, it was a recorded message saying :
"This is Wescott credit, please contact us on this telephone number we are open between 8am and 9pm.

But the message does not ask for a name or mention any reference numbers so i will not be ringing giving out my details.

These rang me @ 09:44 today
I never answer numbers i do not have in my phone
And i keep a book with every call to either my mobile or house line that i do not know
I then check in here for the number & if there somebody that shouldnt be ringing
EG these ppl!
I place there number into my TrueCall device & block there sorry a$$es for good ;-)

This is Westcott Credit Services, they act on behalf of the likes of United Utilities Water, BT and some Banks. I owe United Utilities a little bit of money and could not believe the amount of call from these ive had on a daily basis, not to mention the text messages. I rand them and advised them to not text or ring but only to mail me or the avenue would be harrassemnt or misuse of telecomunications act. They have left me alone since.

They called today and asked for my partners son, I said that hes moved away to England and I dont have his new address, which is true as I dont know where he is and he owes me money too! Caller said hed take this number off the record. I presume its a debt collector as theyre all we get phoning for him!

Got a phone call from theses "people" at 8:55 pm  which woke my elderly grandmother up by the time i got to the phone there was a message asking to ring blah blah blah i do have debts but only correspond through email or letters.

Thanks to robert ive reported them theres no need to ring people at 8:55 on a night yes night not evening these "people" if you can all them that, wouldn't like it if you called them that late so DON'T CALL ME.

ok i just got this call only a few minutes ago curious i typed the number into google and looksie here i find out they are a fraud company trying to get details off of me..... i am not amused at this so my phone company will be getting a nice little phone call asking why they have gave out my details :P law suite

They left a automated voicemail saying that they were westcot credit services and to call them back on a different number ...

BEWARE this scam phoning you by name to extract personal details.

Fortunately they didn't get too far with me, but obviously try it lots as I had 2 missed calls from them before.

Scam caller on switchboard first asked to transfer me to colleague to speak about a "confidential matter".
I asked them to tell me what the confidential matter was before transferring. They said they couldn't and transferred to colleague with a Glaswegian accent who then asked me for my personal details in order to discuss a confidential matter.
I asked them to tell me what the matter was first.
They said they needed to confirm who I was first.
So I asked them to tell me what records they had about me and I would confirm whether they were right or not.
They hung up.

These keep ringing me asking for someone else, everytime I tell them they don't live here, was never their phone number but they still call back!
I have had dealings with debtors in the past and the person you owe money to has to notify you in writing to tell you who they have passed on the debt to and then the company they have passed it on to have to write to tell you they have bought the debt if this isn't followed they legally cannot pursue you for the debt, so any baliff action is illegal!
These are a debt agency but don't give them any details as they will send a load of letters and keep phoning...they are an absolute disgrace!
