i have jst found their website which is www.wescot.co.uk.  They have a number on their to contact them which is 0844 824 1155.  I just called them and spoke to a guy called Tim who did actually seem very pleasant.  I explained that they have been calling me asking for people who have never lived here.  He still gave methe same excuse that this could be a recycled  number but he did say he could remove the number from the dialler system.  He told me that it could take until Friday for it to filter through the system properly though.  It seems fair so we will see what happens.  If you have been called by them and they are asking for someone who you do not know then call them on the number i have just posted.  Unfortunately there was no email address.

called by  woman who said she was from wescot credit services asking me to confirm my address. I refused asking how she had obtained the number.
Just checked on line wirh number.............I have no debt so  an sure they are a scam.
Is there no-one to report this to?

I had a call today on this number from a chap who said he was from Wescot Credit Services.  I have also had a few text messages from them prior to this asking to get in touch, which all got ignored and deleted, after googling them and finding they were dodgy.  

Them: "Hello, is that Mr XXXX?"
Me: "Yes"
Them: "Can you confirm a few personal details?"
Me: "No, I don't know who you are."
Them: "I just need your address."
Me: "No."
Them: *Mumbles something about a letter and hangs up*

I have no debts (other than a student loan and a mortgage, both of which are being paid), so no idea what it's about.  If I get a letter I'll come back here with what they say.

I receive a call from this number every day at 13:00...just like an alarm clock. I don't even bother to answer it but every time I dial 1471, it's the same number. I wonder how long it's going to last...?

IT'S NOT A SCAM!

It is a legitimate debt collection company.

I cant stand them, myself but calling legitimate things a scam is going to ruin whocallsme.com.

If you know who it is say so, dont just jump on the "scam" band wagon unless you KNOW it is a scam.

This is Wescott Credit Services and i suggest you avoid these people or deny acknowledgment to the debt, by denying knowledge of the debt THEY MUST return the case file back to the original creditor so they will then contact you directly which most of you will prefer!

i had a call today and the line was very bad i was getting angry coz i didnt know who he was and what he was saying he asked my name and address i asked what is this about he wouldnt tell me so i didnt give him my address i put the phone down.

I have had numerours missed callsfrom this  and voicemails  i do not pick up unless i know number and it is westgate .  it is driving me Scatty so am about to bar number !

Had a call from this number on my mobile today. I answered it cos it's a hull number and I live in hull. A woman (well actually sounded like a young girl) asked for someone I have never heard of, she just said "sorry to bother you" and hung up. I have now added the number to my call block app (which is the best app in the world, I must add) now I know who it is. This site is fantastic.

i keep having someone calling me from this number asking for a richard lawson wood. they have been very persistant and called me three to four times a day for the last couple of months. every time i tell them i am not interested and they still call me back.

This number called me, then asked me to ring an 0844 number which didn't exist.

I have had 2 calls in 2 days from these people claiming to be chasing debt, and asked for my name and to confirm the adress, I refused, the line went silent when i asked what "debt" they were referring to, I only owe 02 money and called them, they have sent NO details to a debt company, so please be careful people!!

They said they had sent me letters and I should check my mail maybe...rude...no letters, DONT give them youre details!

guys these guys pester you when u owe nothing if u ever get a call from them give them [***] i have been rang by them 7 times now and i owe nothing what so ever they r scammers simple GIVE THEM HELL

This number belongs Wescot Credit Services. Wescot is the debt collection agency. They specialise in assisting clients to debt recovery.

I've been rung several times from this number without a message being left on my answering machine. I rang them back out of office hours and got *their* answering machine, which had a message saying they were "Westcot Credit Services".. They would have heard a confirmation of my name from my own answering machine message, so I really don't know what they're after.

wescot was calling me on behald of BT for an unpaid bill

Got a call on my mum's home phone from this number today at 16:42.

There where asking to speak to a name not known at my mum's address, and they where asking if I have any forwarding details for the debtor.

The woman on the phone was in my opinion very respectful and polite, she had a Scottish accent.

Has rung 4 times this morning on my mobile, asks for a man who I've never heard of. Ask me to confirm my address and I've refused (I don't know who these people are!) and they've told me they'll send the police for me!
Managed to confirm they were West-Scott Collections but they won't remove my number from their auto dialler- pillocks
