3rd Party Debt recovery for sky...

Bad line, ask ME for my details....errr hello? they called me and accused me of owing money which I don't.

All need training in customer service skills and telephone manner in my opinion.

West cot credit services,  very incompetent.

Had a call from westcott stating I owed BT £97.00 from January 2006 This could not be so as BT would have disconnected my phone.

They rang several time and do not speak sometimes they engaged my line for over 1 hour

2 Calls in the past hour!!!! If I wasn't at work I'd have great pleasure in answering and telling them where to go!!

wescot!!! a rude guy called ian just called asking to speak to me, i said it is speakin, then he said can you confirm ure address, er no!! u just phoned me im not giving my details over phone, he then got rude and said have u recieved our letters, i said yip i put them in the bin lol, he got quite attitudey lol, saying very immature. he said he get me.... oh so scared. there just a laugh

have called acouple of times but have no intention on answering my phone as i dont have a clue why they are ringing me and havent received any letters. They've left me a voicemail message asking me to ring westcot services

just had a call from these muppets, asking for someone who was out of the house. Clair from westcott services. i asked what it was about, she said debt recovery. i said what debt. she refused to discuss it. then she went quiet and left the phone call connected for another 30 seconds or so, until i said. Put the phone down or i will report you to BT and counted down from 5, at the count of 1 she hung up.

I reported the misuse of my phone line to BT.

these people rang me today, an indian man, said we was from westcoast credit services? and asked me to confirm my address and postcode, i refused to give him my details until he told me what it was about and he replied he couldnt disclose any information until i told him my address. then i asked for it in writing if he supposedly had my address and he said he already sent a letter (which i have not received) does any one know if this is fraud? i'm only 19 and live with my mother!

What i wanna know is, what exactly can they do if they have your address AND phone number? They cant steal your identity, they can make purchases in your name etc.. But i still wouldnt give them my details, just to piss them off! ;)

it is doggy number. try to get my details but I rejected. Be cautious please, guys.

Just had a call from this number and he said he's calling from wescot credit services. He asked my address and I told him my address, then he asked my previous address and I aslo gave it. But he said it's wrong and asked my date of birth. I rejected and asked him to send me a letter. He got my address so would this cause any problems? Is there any place to report this?

contact BT and complain about abusive phonecalls from westcott.

This number called me 3 times in 2 days, very bad line, asking for personal details like address and postcode etc.. I think 01482 is Hull area dialling code.  Thay hangup when I say its a bad line and I cant hear what they say.

I've been getting some calls from them over the last couple of days (both missed calls on my mobile). I returned the first call, and the guy asked to confirm the first line of my address as part of the data protection act. I duely refused to give him any details about myself. He merely stated that an account "had been transfered to my name", but wouldn't tell me where from etc.

Sounds very much like a scam to me - and by the looks of things from what most of you guys have said, they'd have sent something in writing if it were legit.

Thank god for google, this number phoned me and I was really worried - I have no debt that I know of but have recently moved house so thought perhaps I'd forgotten to change my address on something.  Even so I refused to give them any of my details then phoned my old landlord and googled the number.  They clearly have not sent me any letter as they claimed and thanks to this site I can relax in the knowledge that it is all a scam.
