Caller asks for house address, then previous address for security checks. Caller line was very poor, could have been 'Westgate Services..'

Very suspecious, passed phone to partner and caller hangs up.. this could be a security fraud??? any clues???

Has called me three times this week. I say "hello", no-one answers, office noise in the background, then a Pakistani voice says "hello", "hello", "hello".
Then they hang up!

I never pay my bills 'on time', so it's probably one of those firms that 'remind you that your bill is unpaid', then claim a fee off the company you owe the money to when you eventually pay it.

Easy money. Should be stopped.

i got called by them, they say they were some debt collector, asked for my address, which i refused as i had no idea who they were. asked what it was reference to, they said to confirm my address. got suspicious, so i asked what city do they have on record. cos i live in multiple homes.

i'm definitely thinking fraud, cos if i owed money to anyone, they would phone me or send a letter. i always pay my bills on time.

I have just had an answer phone message from an automated machine on this number and it's Westcot Credit Services

Hi everbody,I don't know who is it and from where is it that number.They called me 10 times,but a never pick up phone.

they called me 4 times during this week and last week.never picked up and left a voice message saying some credit service.who gives a crap,all my bills are paid timely fashioned.

Tese guys are scammers, trying to get info on you to misuse - tell tham to s*d off.  Any legitimate companty will put it in writing, not pester you in this way

call me, bad line, thought they may be scotish? don't have any unpaid bill that I know of, they claim they have written but would tell me which address they sent it to, has moved recently but I'm still getting all my mail as I know the people who live in my old house.

I used to work for a debt collection company (dont hate me, I hated the job and didnt last long cos I kept lowering peoples payments!)

People are right when they say don't pick up the phone... if they have your telephone number, the also have your address, and if its anything serious they will contact you in writing! All they want to do on the calls is scare you into paying (something you probably dont owe!)

i told these people not to contact me by phone but in writing they have broken that breach and have not given me all the information regarding a gas bill they say i owe now im going to the ombudsman as all my letters to this lot are sent recorded if they cant give you all the info concerning money they say you owe go legal the ombudsman

scottish Female asked for address stating she was from Westgate collection service when I asked what it was about as I do not have any Debt apart from my morgage I was told Quote " Obvesuly  you Have" unquote.1voicemail & 4 calls in 5 days.

Got a call form Lucy Ward claiming to represent Wescot requesting personal information.

this is west cot and they got my details passed on from british gas as i have a outstanding bill from a year ago when i wasnt working, i had just had a baby it was a big struggle they wont give me a payment plan unless i pay £300 of my bill, if i could pay that i wouldnt need a payment DURRR lol so they have said that my details will be passed onto a debt collection agency e.g west cot who add £50 simpily for handling my account and the stupid calls they make to us at all times of day-nice eh x

Had a bit of business with these lately, theyve only ever rung me once and that was just to remind me that i need to pay lol

Just rang my mobile and asked to speak to a MR someone, i said no, guy asked if the address was *********** (he actually gave me the address) and i said no, he then asked if i knew the gentleman, i said no, he asked if i knew the address, i said yes, he then said he believed i was lying to him and was actually at the address and knew the gentleman, i laughed at him and said he must be smoking crack, i asked i he was calling on behalf of a debt company, he said he coudn't answer if i wasn't the gentleman in question and asked me to stop wasting his time and to put the gentleman on the phone. I told him there was no gentleman here except my cat, so i put my cat on the phone. The guy actually stayed on the line for 10 minutes whilst the phone was next to the cat. Idiots.

I just got called by that number a minute ago (8.52pm) said hello - no answer on the other end.. So rude and late!
