Strictly speaking, the ownership should be in the name of the bona fide trustee on behalf of Capita Oak Pension Scheme.  Not entirely sure how this would all work legally, but it could be that Christopher Payne is the legal owner of 9.8 million worth of store pods as he is the sole shareholder of ITSL.

Trying to use joined up thinking here, if anyone has any comment then please correct it. But, it seems to me that there is a possible tax problem here from my following all of this.
Ank asked about the owner. If Angie is correct, then it appears to be Imperial Trustees Ltd as scheme administrator. The owner of Imperial is Christopher Payne. Is the transfer of the pension mones to Storefirst, and then ownership transferring to Imperial Trustees ltd (who are not trustees) an unauthorised payment according to HMRC? Would HMRC allow the title deeds to be altered back or would they deem this to be a multi-million pound payment out of a pension scheme? Food for thought, anyone got an opinion?

And who would have to pay the tax in the end?

Most likley the investors that would be requesting their money back.  This whole situation just gets messier

Has someone got a copy of this trust document,  surely it mentions the trustee in that.

First of all I do not believe that is gallium posting. Secondly Miss Brooks why are you still giving members false information. Please I am asking you to refrain from any postings for the next two weeks as in spite of all your hurtful remarks there are a few people trying to sort out this mess and the people that you accuse are the innocent ones. If you don't want to be honest with the members then most of all be honest with yourself.

Gallium are going to like pensions ..they're an investment house / fund manager...but they're FCA regulated so that makes a huge difference compared to this mess...a mess that is going to get resolved one way or another...
I feel that for the first time in a very long while that I can see the sign,next to the light at the end of the tunnel...I can't make out what that sign says yet ( valuations. .etc...) but it's there. ..though I don't know how long that tunnel is...!! ( I hope that makes sense and I haven't lost it after all!)

You're right...though the first thing a new set of trustees or similar  will want to know is what are the assets of the scheme are worth...valuations first...

Trouble is there could be a tank at the end of that tunnel ready to blow it off the lines, unless the assets get a proper valuation and some Investment house like Gallium take it on board !!

That has got me thinking all round....full steam ahead with the valuations then ( albeit in that tank! !)

At least we will know what Mr Paynes pods will be worth,  if they don't belong to the pension.
