The following number called today trying to offer me work in my local area.....mmm dodgy, whats their angle - a slice of the cash!
Fobbed the guy off as too busy so tried ringing them back and got a pre-recorded message saying please ring '0845 013 5104'
obviously did not but googled it and it for a web design company based in Ireland with offices in Lancaster (01524 uk code)
Looking on another web page (blagger.com) they have some comments about these people being harassed by them for web design work and charging a few too many pennies for what their offering!
Hope it helps someone out there to avoid these rogues.....

Called us & left a message offering to find us Personal Training (Fitness) work in our area - odd as their number seems based in Bolton so they wouldn't know much about work in North Wales.  There were call-centre type noises in the background.  Tried calling back & got redirected to the 0845 number.  Can't believe they're not time/money wasters

Just got a call on my mobile from this number. It cut off before I could answer, but didnt recognise the number, so I had a look on internet and found this site.
Glad I didnt get to the phone on time now, and will use the end button in future on this number.
I normally do this on unrecognised numbers anyway.

Call from this number from I think he said Tim at Customer Street? - Very pushy trying to say that I didn't want to turn away business.  Ended up hanging up on him.

Saw my ad in gumtree and phoned, didn't catch his name but also said 'Customer Street', sounded interesting at the start but as he gave more detail it definitely became a sales pitch...

Said his company would be top of any search engine hit if you searched for 'computer repairs'...

Luckily his phone got cut off before mine did

"David Beard" called, cut me off when I asked for a number to call back on. Dodgy. Not the sort of tactics I want to do business with

Missed call. Thanks to this site I know who now thanks.  Comes one day after placing services ad on ebay.

a woman rang regarding getting some work done. she would not give me her number to give a ring back. alarm bells went off so i did a check on the computer turns out it is a con by the looks of it. some company called customer street. they should be stopped.

Got a call today from this number,01524 543400, as it happens it stopped just as I picked up. Not recogonising the number I goggled it & found this site. Many thanks for all the comments, sounds like I had a lucky escape for what would have been a real nuisance call!

On holiday and had a missed call from this number - had no idea of the area code so goggled it when I got ho,e to find this site.

I just missed a call from this number too. Heard many bad things about this company, so glad I didn't pick up!

I have had them call me repeatedly but I ignore it. The first time I listened for at least 20 minutes all sounded feasible but as soon as I said I wasnt interested in a website they hung up on me !

Whenever they ring now I ignore it.

had them phone me, i told them i was busy, they phoned today on m y home phone at 9-15 the woman went on for ages, told her when i phoned the 0845 number they answered calling them selfs something else and the woman replyed "we are just an advertising company" anyway told this to the woman who phoned today, she could not answer me, chatted for ages, then told me i gotta pay over the phone, replyed i never do that, then she went on about we are BT and you must of heard of them. (her name was LINDA POTTER)

I asked for some stuff to be sent tho to me so i can look at whats on offer, she said look at the start i told you its a offer today and today only, so i politely said "well i wont be deciding today, so i will have to say no, goodbye"

then the nutter phoned back up saying "sorry we must of got cut off" i said no "we never, you told me the offer is today only so im not intresed" goodbye

Then she phoned back again, i picked it up and put it back down!

then she phoned again "saying you wasted nearly a hour of my time!!!! no wonder you have no work" then "dont be scared picking up the phone and  running away from me"

there are also other scammers phoning me since ad on gumtree, saying things like there from my local fire station, and doing a fire aware magazine and want my company in it!!! little did he know i worked for my local fire station for awhile!!
and another one sayin something about a childrens fund magazine!! the same bloke as before but a few hours differents!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi i left ad on gumtree and had missed call from this number today, cheers everyone for letting me know, about those bunch of scamming scum!!!

Had these guys call me a couple of days ago, offering a one time only deal which amounted to over a £1000 a year !!! for search engine optimumisation for my website, even though my site already shows high up in searches in my area!
could not get them off the line  even after telling the guy that i NEVER make snap decisions over the phone !! (i was Trying not to be rude)
he then preceeded to tell me i had wasted over 30 minutes of his time and he must sign someone up in my area and stated that he did not want me to miss out   as he could only offer one company in my area this deal and he did not want it to be any of my competitors ! he then continued for another 15 minutes
going through everything again asking why i could not understand it was such a good deal, and WOULD result in more work for me, i told him i had completely understood from the start and would not part with any money over the phone  , after i had taken his name, he told me that he would call me back in a couple of days. upon this i Googled the number and came up with this site. needless to say i have not answered to this number since
AVOID !!! DO NOT PART WITH ANY MONEY OVER THE PHONE !!!! SCAMMERS!!!!

I was talked into purchasing a professional web site and advertising via UFINDUS, MOREUK.com, Smile Local etc., by a company called www.companystreet.com.  It was supposed to cost me £299 + VAT up front, and then £60 per month by direct debit.   I paid the up front amount via credit card, but when I got the welcome pack a couple of days later they had also taken an addition £70 as first month's fee (which I hadn't been advised about).   The website wasn't what I expected.  It was a DIY website where I was supposed to download software and build it myself.  What a scam!   I've been ringing them for last couple of days trying to cancel, and they are just fobbing me off.  Beware of this Company.
