Got a call from a guy claiming to be from BT and asked why I put my company in a free BT Directory listing. Very pushy, proclaimed to be a search engine expert and was really arsey when I congratulated him on having gone to university and getting a degree in SEO.
These people have to expect crappy attitudes from people like me that dont like cold calls especially when they try and lecture you. Tossers.

they called my Mobile number all I got was this is BT I missed the customer streetas I was driving I asked them to call me back on Monday...I always check numbers that I dont recognise using google...I wont be doing business with them but wait with interest to see what they have to say for themselves tomorrow...

They called and cut off during the conversation. Dialled 1471 and got this number. The number in which they contacted me is part of the Telephone Protection Scheme which is supposed to protect from unwanted calls.

called me today to ask about my counselling work. Sounded dodgy so i told them i would call back and they offered to call later. Glad i checked this number online but i would not normally trust this type of calls

i love working at BT and i certainley like my wage at the end of the month!! the most rewarding thing though about working there is customer satisfaction everytime.. we understand here at bt thats its a tough time at the moment we just try and show you the light at the end of the tunnel! i have a fantastic relationship with al my customers thats why they renew every 12 months! and for all you people that havn't signed up with us take a leap of faith and stop living in a black angry hole for ever! we can help the light will get brighter!!!! peace out

Called my landline, didnt answer it in time but went onto answering machine adn heard an office like background before it went off.  Glad I found this search I wont be paying for no advertising with noone as I do well from word of mouth and my free website soooo..... do I need you?? NO.

DREADFUL..they do not leave you alone, VERY VERY pushy, dont want you to termintae a contract, pretend your credit card hasn't worked & then try to takre more money (pull the other one!!!).  DO NOT GO ANYWHERE near, bunch of con artists!

I just wanted to reply to any potential customers reading this.

Its no where near what the comments on here say, yes it’s a sales job you’re encouraged to get sales but the methods stated on here are very rare if they happen at all. I know that the people I sit near and I don’t work like that and we all get sales and happy customers. I am sure some people are pushy but you always get that in a sales environment and I really hope its not to the extremes mentioned here.

I think its ridiculous that we can have a bad reputation based on write ups like this on the internet, every week the company signs up hundreds of company’s and there are probably 1 or 2 complaints a week on websites like this (very few of which are actually from customers there normally people who have been pitched and decided against it). If we were as bad as those few posts make out we would have hundreds of people writing on boards like this one but we don’t. You can also find complaints about any company out there it’s the amount of complaints compared to the amount of customers that’s the problem and I am sure you can see that there are not actually that many people complaining about the product more some people’s choice of sales method.

Two minutes after I registered my services online received a call, luckily I missed it, now I know... Cheers guys.

Twice this number has called me today and twice they have put the phone down as soon as I answered.  Call is from Customer Street who have rung several times before trying to badger me into advertising with them, telling me that 100 people have made enquiries in my area.  I live on an island, not very likely.  Avoid like the plague!!!!

I have just had a missed call from someone from BT called Sophie is claiming they want my services for people in the area. How do they know my profession? My number is not listed. And I do not live in in their area?????

I also had both of these Customer street and "local fire and police magazine"
call me, after posting my business on gumtree. Customer street man got very aggitated and as I had a hangover that day I told him to fu€k off. I suggest you do the same.

I was talking to my partner earlier today and i got a call from this number. By the time i reached my mobile phone, it rang off.  Had a gut instinct that there was something not right about this number, so i googled it. and came up with this site.  Cannot believe the cheek of them/

I too have had calls, spoke to a girl who when i asked for further details about what i got for my money that i couldnt do myself she basically called me a "grumpy git" if bt own this company they should put a stop to it. Anybody dealing with them needs there head examend!

"BT Customer street" ..  I have seen other forums where have ripped off a lot of people. Very HIGH PRESSURE sales. They are only supposed to target small businesses. They also target some individuals that they deem to be a small business.
They don't cross check FIRST that they are a small business and if you sign up with them not realising this, it is a 12 month contract. Your "Contract" is over the phone. Apparently that is a legal contract. You then fall under some business "law" that you have to pay. They won't cancel it under any circumstances. So  ... No Ethics, No Morals = No Integrity.. Shame on you BT

Why did I bother to waste 15 minutes speaking to the moron that rang me today.  I had received a call a few months ago claiming I could put my business on the top of Google search page.  I was very interested and said I would ring the salesman back.  I even missed his call and asked my secretary to make sure I don't miss him again because it was important. I then find various things on the internet saying what a scam this was especially since you cannot legally cancel under a "cooling period" being a business.
So I thought I would have some fun today when I get a call from this company claiming to be BT while I was eating a sandwich.  I told him I did not believe a word he said, I even told him to search the internet and look at all the negative publicity.  He told me I was scared of being successful.  I asked him why we were still speaking because I had no intention of buying from him but he still did not go away.  I told him he was wasting valuable selling time speaking to me but he still did not go away.  In the end, the phone went dead.
BT, you really are letting yourselves down with this service and this behaviour.  We don't believe a word you are saying anymore.

Called me 10 days ago told me will add listing on internet site - for this needed £600.00 I said think about it !
Since than ive had 0ver 40 calls log from this company trying to get me to sign-up even after ive said NO !!!

You guys are right, these guys took my money and set me up as a company that does not exist, I told them that this particular business was not set up, the next thing was that they were encouraging me to put my website to theirs even though we had not yet recieved any FSA registration. They were debiting money from my debit card every month after they had tried to charge me twice for 2 sites I was not using. Now they are threatening to take me to court to pay installments for a division of our business that doesnt and never existed.

I hope you are reading this customer street. I sent an email to the FSA this evening notifying them that you encourage businesses to operate selling anything without being regulated under the cover of one of your websites

Good luck BT Customer Street!! I've read Barclays Bank was fined 2 million pounds for doing less.

I wonder if they do Timeshare scams aswell!!

i used to work for btcustomer street and all i can say is please do not do any business with them, they are a complete shambles, they are part of BT but are only out to get as much moeny from you as possible. They start at £299 but then will knock it down to £199 and even £99 if the unprofessional manager is in the mood for a bit of discount.  I can honestly say i have never ever worked anywhere so awful in all my life.

They take the mickey out of each caller whilst you are on he phone, no confidential bins are used in the offices so your card details are simplyy left on desks etc for the cleaner to see.

They do not care if you are young, old, skint or rich they will still try n take what they can from you, please please please do not hand over any details they are a complete farse.
