- H.Roi got a call from Mackenzie Hall, which is now saved in my phone as Wan@@r Debt Collectors because i had a car on finance, which i gave back because i couldnt afford. They phoned me saying i owe them #5000+ and i need to pay immediatly i then calmly said to them i dnt have that kind of money to hand because if i did i would have paid it, the lovely (i use that word very lightly) laughed at me and told me to stop being a complete liar!! I mean wat check has she got to tell me im lying, i work in a garden centre and get 5.52 an hour which is 176.95 a week i have rent to pay and phone bills and it leaves me with about 90 at the end of the month to myself so i suggested i pay back in installments ya know to sort of please the company but no they wanted all or nothing i then asked for an address to send a letter to as an offer and the stupid [***] hung up! i mean they are incompetent kids being told to fetch debt!!!! so my advice tell em to **ck Off!!

- petecame home to find they had called my home fone. Not sure how they got my number as I'm ex-d and don't owe anyone a penny, not from recently or historically. Wish I'd have been in to answer as I love playing games with idiotic debt companies such as these. Have some experience from handling a case for my ex-partner.
They are trying their luck in re-couping the money they had to pay for 2nd hand debts. Some people fall for their veiled threats but they cannot do anything unless you admit to owing money or state who you are.
If they come to your door ask them politely to go away or you will call the police and tell them you are being harrassed by complete strangers.
best advice I can give is get caller ID on your phone and refuse to answer their calls; they will then try to sell the debt on as unsuccessfully persued.- Caller: Mackenzie Hall
- zipzapJust had a call from this people asking for a person who lived at the same address 6 years ago.!! aren't they idiots? They wouldn't understand "THE PERSON IS NOT LIVING AT THIS ADDRESS ANY MORE!!!! I DON'T EVEN KNOW THE GUY AND HE MOVED OUT 6 YEARS AGO!!!"" Sick people like a glue on your neck even though it is nothing to do with you......
- WayneThese are no more than parasites. I owe THEM nothing. They bought an old credit card debt, which was dealt with in 2001. I agreed to pay a sum of money as full and final payment to the card company.
In December 2008 these muppets called and claimed I owed them over £3,000. I have Googled them and found the Consumer Action Group, who put me right straight away.
As I have already made my peace and settled the debt, 8 years ago, I'm not about to give some shysters from Kilmarnock the time of day, let alone any money. They can demand all they like. I've just reported them to TPS for the repeated phone calls they are making.
I find it strange that there are some people on this site saying 'pay your debts'. How did you get here if you've not been checking who phoned you? I think you work for this company and are just trying to frighten people even more.
It is companies like this that get Debt Collectors a bad name.- Caller: Kilmarnock Kowboys
- i ent no mug| 1 replydo bob and julie work for this debt company?...i think so!! y else would they b on this site if they're so squeeky clean and have no debt to society???? ive had calls from this number and DONT ow n e debt! this company is a scam and they r bullies!prayin on vulnerable people. y do they insist on constant calls? because its harder for us to prove, wen asked for a written letter, guess what?? NO LETTER but still bombarded with nasty, disrespectful calls. sorry but if i did ow debt i wouldnt giv them a penny!!!!!!!!!!!they're arrogant [***].for future calls i advise u giv no information, laugh and hang up, piss them off as much as they do us!once i even turned my tv up and left the phone near the speaker for 5 mins.the law states debt is squashed after approx 6 yrs, if this company buys debt over that period thats there problem!
- Bethmy mum received a letter from J@ solutions asking if i still lived there. i called the number on the letter and spoke to a guy called shaun who was really nice and asked for my number as HSBC we trying to get in contact with me.... Funny thing is, i went for my regular financial update the day before and everything was fine with my account....???? Since reading all these posts it seems like they are complete scam artists and look at peoples credit files and make up complete crap! yes im a graduate who has debts but not that i havent been paying. besides whats funny is in case of collection agencies looking for you it would be the bank contacting you first personally and not to the occupier or the neighbours!

- JenThis number phoned up my parents landline and revealed an old outstanding debt information to my parents who were obviously very worried. truth is i should never have been lumbered with the debt as it was for an old mobile phone contract which i didnt use and tried to get out of. This was 6 years ago.
I have spoken to them to try and pay back but they refuse to accept any payment apart from the full balance of £400. I am unemployed and cannot afford it. They then said unless i aid it before specfic date they would proceed with court action. Got me very scared but as i cannot pay i have no choice! I also asked for them to remove my parents number from their system and the said they would but still kept calling.
They still continue to pester me with calls, 3 weeks on from the deadline date. I have blocked their calls on my mobile.
They still phone my landline and have left messages with my parents saying it is all 'sorted' and for me to call them. I didnt. They phoned me up again, this time i answered and told them they had the wrong number to which they got very rude and ratty with me and said they'd send someone round.
Anyone actually had any court hearings from these people? - GordonSo some Scottish woman calls me and demands that I tell her my full name, address and date of birth? What a way to start a conversation, with emphasis on the CON.
Until I Googled I had no idea who this company was, because she would not tell me who was calling until I confirmed who I was. What is the country coming to?
I have now read the comments above, and looked at the consumer action website as well. What a set of shysters these people are. They just call and make demands and expect you to give them personal information, this sort of thing should be made illegal!
I now know why they called me, and the matter was dealt with by another debt collector last year, these idiots are trying to collect the same debt!- Caller: Debt Collection Bullies
- WESmy phone rang when i was in the toilet. the first thing I did was to google the number as i didn't recognise the area code. now i see it's this debt recovery lot. they have written to me, or rather the letter was for a mr cooper, who used to live here a few years ago. i opened the first one without realising it was not for me and thought something was not right as there was a demand for almost two thousand pounds. i wrote to them and told them he had moved away. two weeks later and a man is at my door from meritforce who are collecting the debt for mckenzie hall. i told the man the same thing but he wanted to see some proof of who i was. i showed him my driving license and he wanted to take that with him. i have heard about identity fraud where they get your details and make up bank accounts so they can get loans in your name so i was not going to let him have some real identification of mine. i grabbed a stick and threatened to smash his face in if he didn't give me my driving license back. he said he had to take it back to the office so he could stop them bothering me but you don't just let some strange bloke take things like that do you. now it looks like they have got my phone number from somewhere. i did not put it in my letter to them. i think it is stupid that they want to annoy me when i have told them i am not mr cooper. police do not want to know when i tell them that this man has been here.

- Courtney| 2 repliesI had a voice mail message saying to call this number back urgently! it sounded very important but i didn't know the number so i googled it. after reading the comments posted by everyone, i have no desire to correspond with such people, i am not aware of any outstanding debt i owe, yet it is praying on my mind none the less. it has made me feel very worried and threatened, i don't know what to do!
- sijulie you might agree with bob but some people cant afford to pay the debt of in full due to losing jobs etc and when you offer these debt collectors money such as mackenzie hall they dont want to know you offer them how much you can afford a month but they decline it, so its not everyones fault for the credit crunch, if they would accept the offer of so much a month they would make life easier for them selfs as if it goes to court you still only offer the same ammount and then they have to accept it this company mackenzie hall just waste peoples times so just ignore the phone calls.

When I said I wouldn't tell her anything as she hadn't identified herself or said where she was calling from she said "are you always this nosey" and then hung up - says it all really. Have nothing to do with them - I won't
