I have read that Identity Protect Limited t/a Identity Protection Service, PO Box 795, Godalming, Surrey. GU7 9GA is a scam operation that registers lots of the scam artists' sites who wish to conceal their true identity from us and the cursory glance of the under-resourced trading standards officer.

Some of these data criminals are complained about on whocallsme. Identity Protect Limited run their own servers with Webfusion, and are linked to crime networks in Germany, London, Manchester , Liverpool and the Midlands.

You will see lots of postings on here telling you NOT complain to the ICO & TPS because they are "useless". Ignore them. Two of the syndicate were recently fined £440,000 by the ICO because of our complaints and this cost the crime syndicate introducer fees.

The frequent "not worth reporting" posts are made by the syndicate to discourage us from contacting the ICO. TPS pass the complaints on to the ICO, so are equally slated.

Report EACH non-compliant call to the ICO. They require evidence to act.

If you see any of the above names or addresses in a whois do NOT deal with the company or website.

Likewise, if Magrathea Telecomms is the callers' telecom provider, avoid them.

At best you will be supporting crime and at worst you will end up being defrauded.

Received a cold call from them today. Turned abusive when I said they should not be calling because I'm registered with Telephone Preference Service the caller said he didn't check and he wasn't "psychic" although he knew it was wrong to call me and how to check, then became offensive and sarcastic and it was apparent a number of people were listening and audibly laughing in the background to his rude comments to me. He then passed the phone to another male who claimed to be a manager and started saying rude things including about my fathers' genitalia to me, the F word several times and put the phone down. I agreed with theonlinesupermarket to promote my webpage online for one month trial at the cost of £150.00 the promotion did no good so i thought that was it then they took another £150.00 from my bank without my consent when i challenged them there became abusive and sarcastic with haha in the back ground do not trust this company.

Having worked at this company I can confirm exactly how they work!!

The sales agents are told to say they are calling with regards to Google or Facebook giving the false impression they are from either Google or Facebook.

Once you have agreed to the sale and given them your card details, they take it through to the back office to be processed. Now for the clever part, you are told a one month trial, however if you go on the website you have to give one months notice to cancel but by this time you are in to a second month and have to complete the third month to cancel.

Danny Kay will take payments early if he thinks you will cancel. He has shut down 2 companies because he can't afford to pay the VAT. These companies are Xpression Web Solutions and Netsearch media. He has opened up in a small office just off Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester.

He's a dj in his spare time and a full time con man. He had a call centre in Manila but that went bump because he was to busy sleeping with the local ladies and not paying his staff wages.

He doesn't pay his staff wages correctly at the moment and I can gaurantee this online supermarket will be closed down by January.

I used to work for these jokers. I was there for two months and they never even paid me for my second month. They have a big problem with staff  turnover. If you worked there more than three days you were a veteran.

It's a small company and the two managers at the time left to start their own business to do their own thing.

This really pissed off the owner, Mark, as you can imagine.

I don't blame the managers for leaving as he was definitely one of the worst bosses I've had for some time.

They write your cc numbers on paper and store them with their admin - reading the comments here I guess it's so they can take repeated payments.

They have now changer their name to Global Marketing Options, same company owner Danny Kay, smaller offices at a new address, same scam.

They will never take anybody to court. Mike who is a director there told me it's just a threatening letter to scare people into paying again.

If they went to court they would be screwed as they store all card details on paper in a filing cabinet.

Just got a call from Global Marketing Options - www.globalmarketingoptions.com - sounded like a good deal, but they wanted an answer within an hour. I don't do that - fortunately I checked here first. Thank you for the warnings to avoid Danny Kay and his 'The Media Supermarket' empire. How come he's still in business after all this time?

I fell for this company's scam.

When I realised they were con artists I immediately cancelled my debit card so they couldn't take any more payments and I did get my money back from the bank because I hadn't received the service The Online Supermarket had promised me.
Lots of phone calls from them during which they continued with their barefaced lies until I told them that I knew what they were doing, at which point they became abusive.

BIG lesson learnt. NEVER buy anything from cold callers again!!
