I have reported them to Trading Standards (Ref AW10562018) but other than building up a file of similar complaints, they don't seem to want to do much about it.  Perhaps they will if sufficient compaints are made so worth a try.

The fact is that they are careful to work within the letter of the law and the misrepresentation is by implication.

I have just had a call to say that they will not refund my payment - [***]. Next step is to send a recorded letter of complaint asking for my refund. Then it will be necessary to take them to Court.

This is where a collective action will be beneficial.  Please let me know if you are up for it.

    Hi
I too have been conned by this company.  They promised me a lot of business through facebook, costing me £100 for a two week trial.  I cancelled this after the two week trial as I had NO business through the promised advertising they said they would do.  However, I have since had two lots of £150.00 taken from my business credit card.  After many, many telephone calls I am still waiting for someone to give me an answer as to why they are taking unauthorised funds from my account and no monies have been repaid.

I am off to the bank today to see if a phone call from them will make any difference.

My advice to anyone who recieves a call from this company is to put the phone down immediately.

I have just got off the phone with this moron named Lee from netsearch media.  He was trying to tell me that i automatically agreed to a contract but he couldn't prove that i had agreed to a contract.   After a few heated emails and a few even more heated conversations i have realized that there is no reasoning with "Lee Harrop" and his shoe string company.

They have created a completely bizarre contract that apparently you become enrolled in as soon as you pay for a "no contract 1 month trial".

Oh and the ever so thick minded Lee Harrop has the audacity to call me and tell me that i am being charged for 2 more months.  This was because i did not cancel my imaginary contract that was created out of thin air, which the details for are outlined on their website.

LEE!  HELLO!  ANYBODY HOME!?!?  WHY [removed:lang] WOULD I READ TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AUTOMATIC ROLLING CONTRACT WHEN I VERBALLY AGREED TO A "NO CONTRACT 30DAY TRIAL"

    What a dunce!

I see a class action law suit building here.   Does anyone have a proof that they agreed to a rolling contract?

    Please enlighten me!

Business Consumer. replies to Netsearch Media Scam
I am also having similar issues with Netsearch Media Ltd. Since I made the first debit card transaction for a Facebook ad which got me no customers, they sent me a stats report which claimed that so many impressions have been made and it said that the ad will be automatically extended unless it is cancelled and even though the cancellation was done, they took the payment anyway. When the bank was notified and a chargeback was made. Now they took the payment again. Can we join forces to fight this. Group action will produce good results.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Cancel your card before they take any more money, get in touch with trading standards and ask your bank about a chargeback. Be warned though as soon as you do you will get a call from Paul Simister demanding £180 chargeback costs. Have a look at the other posts on moneysavingexpert.com

I always read the T&Cs. Unfortunately Netsearch never provided me with any even after I asked for them. The only time I have recieved any T&Cs was when my bank provided them as evidence for the chargeback dispute.

Net Search Media called me. They said for £99 they could get me on the first page of a Google search in the Ad's section.  They actually took £120 from my back account, then another £150 the next month. I cancelled in good time but they would not refund the £150 saying I cancelled too late. Their term say you must cancel by email after you have received their monthly stats report. This I did 28 minutes after receiving the report but still they said it was too late even though I had 6 days left until the end the month.

If you have used net search media, call your bank immediately and get the bank to block them so they cannot withdraw any more money from your account.  Also as the bank to do a charge back to get the money refunded.

Net search media's number is 0161 236 9957 don't agree to anything they say, never give them your bank account details.

    Anti Net Search
Used to work here, we were trained that we represented google, we didnt know or suspect this not to be the case and I suspect none of the current staff do either. All the training manuals all the scripts, all the meetings, everything is geared around net search representing Google on a global scale. Since this obviously isnt the case I left a few weeks back, surprised Google allow people like this to do such damage to their name though. Credit card numbers jotted down on pieces of paper and left all around the office, sales staff abusing clients and trigger happy support staff taking money from peoples cards like theirs no tomorrow

They are a scam company, to report them to Google direct click this link :
    http://support.google.com/adwords/bin/request.py?&contact_type=gap_complaint

You may even get your money back from Google, I have read on other blogs that Google are refunding people on behalf of this scam company

Just i would like to say that  my story was exactly like yours. I am Polish and had not big experience in  Britain when NSMedia scam my card. I was in bank  like you i  copy all information from internet about NSM  show  fraud department. They try  arguing with  me   about policy   term and conditions etc. I said  then my  verbal  agreement should be provided;   and  on tape should be information  about   single payment   and  nothing more... Also i said  to  bank    then  i will change  bank if they will no help me... Month later  bank took L800  from NSM and give   me  back...
NSM  after that  send me leter from their legal team and try  make me scare,  but  i ignore. that was  1.5 year ago.

Hi, I wish I had found all this info first, I took a months trail with facebook, at the end of this month they were to phone me with stats. Then I would see if it worked.they never rang, so I thought that was that.
3month later they take £300+vat off my credit card, so I rang them and cancelled the contract, as I thought, How wrong was I, 3months later they take another £300+, so I contracted them spoke to a young lady who said she would remove my card details while I was on the phone, which she did.
Now in the new year, I get an e-mail for non payment + interest , the bill is now £600+. They never send any invoices , just legal action applied . you can t get though on the number supplied 01612388944.
After reading this lot I think I will report this to them as well. They need to be stopped , they must have had thoasands of pounds out of small companies. cheersderek
