I had the same call. But I'm so dubious after I had some clowns offering me an add in s fake magazine called based around the police federation.
Also I've had calls from a Julian Dicks football company which may or may not be legit.
To me, it sounds like the same person every-time. Certainly the same accent!

I seen a blog about this company and it advised to look on here, to be honest i really cant see why this company has got so many bad reviews, I have been running google adverts with these guys for a while and cant fault their service, they do have a very direct way of getting you on board and the initial caller  was very pushy but for £116 a month a generate 6-10 new customers every month. not bad!! I will just hope this keeps up and I will monitor this more often!

I too have been conned by this company but with me they said they were Facebook they took me for £130 and nothing to see for it.
Be aware as your credit card company will not help as mine didn't? I have also contacted consumer direct and GOD is that a long process.
All in all it is looking like I am out of pocket and believe me this is not the first company to do this to me, I have treid all the government complaints centres and no one wants to help. Please will the government do something about this????

Please do not deal with this company as you will get nothing for your money.

    Netsearch Media Scam
World Wide Marketing Solutions, Double Click Online now NETSEARCH MEDIA LTD.
I'm not here to rant just to warn, Netsearch Media caught me at a good time for them 2 days ago, I’d been looking into sponsored links and was very busy when they called.  Basically I had the wool pulled over my eyes.
I never got the confirmation call to authorise payment, so I started the google search on them.  Oh dear my worst fears have been proven.  However I do intend to be a pain in a**e for them.
The registered office address for them is no good because that's all it is a registered office like loads of others.  However a £1 report from companies house does give the home address for one of the directors; Mr Critchley.
I also hope to have the current trading address soon as it looks like a good lady friend of mine is lining up an interview.

hey i thought i was going to be ripped of by this company, they rang me up saying i could get 1st placement on google then delivered the results for about 1 day, after many phones call to them and there pathetic attempts to sell me more stuff i demanded my money back, and after seeing so many angry comments about them, I  cancelled my bank card, my bank gave me some money back and i think they hunted the buggers down and demanded they refund me. GO MY BANK!

so in the end they refunded my money, so all is good.

i've have been stung by this company too, promised to be on first page at the top on Google £99 a month with a £20 set up fee plus £20 for 7 key phrases so £139.00 for the first month, got a e-mail yesterday called a 'stat' report saying just my average postion on google i phoned them up saying i wanted to actuallly see figues of clicks and impressions and they from the sounds of it fed me a load of Bull S**t that really impressed me, and said i had 2 days to decide whether we wanted to stay on and make another 3 month contract, so i went back to my manager to show him where we were on Google to see what he thought on keeping it going and there was nothing there, none of the phases worked we werent even on Google. so i look for their website on Google and find this website. Now im so annoyed (being polite now) i tried to phone them at 9 when they opened no answer tried 5 minutes later and now it won't even ring. so i phoned the website design number who answered but sounded like a scared kid and said he couldn't transfer me to DAN HOWARD but new that he was in customer services. so has surly dealt with someone asking for him before

I have a dispute with Net Search Media.  I agreed at the beginning of Nov to go with a campaign which would keep me on the front page, use research to get the 'right' key words and generate 5-7 new customers each month.  The sales person was extremely convincing and told me that he was offering something far and above what I could do myself.  This turned out to be utterly untrue.  The ad had two spelling errors (one was 'psychotherapy', which is my job and therefore made me look unprofessional, the other was my phone number, which clearly rendered the ad useless.

I told them before the ad went live that I did not wish to go ahead (I had had my suspicions, and been told by a friend that google ads resellers are 'snake oil salesmen', in other words, they are selling something we don't need.  I told them after the ad was live that I wished to cancel.  They refused.  They said 'because it is a business to business transaction it is not refundable'.  This sounds like tosh to me.  I asked for the ad to be paused, they did so for a few days then it went live again.  Sometimes it is vaguely within the top few, but I already had my own google ads campaign which always outperforms it, and I end up in competition with myself.

THEN to add insult to injury, this month they have taken a further payment from my account.  They say they sent me an email on the 1st December telling me they would do so if not advised otherwise.  I did not receive this email, only the one on the 5th telling me they had taken the money.

I have lost about £250 to them but I really don't have this money to spend at the moment, am getting no value whatsoever and just a fight I really didn't want.

I intend to contact Trading Standards, and as an ex-PR person will be in touch with Watchdog, blogs such as this one and any other consumer focused media, however, if anyone has got money back from these people in the past I'd be interested to hear from them.

Thanks - and please, anyone else, just don't use any google ads reseller - they're bad news.

    abusive language
My wife received a call from them today, not sure how they got her number as it was her mobile not our company number.
The man asked her 'Are you still running your online business?'
She replied ' Sorry, what is this regarding?'
    He then said '[removed:lang]'

Where on earth did that come from??

She called back on the number 01616336003 and asked for the man's name that she just spoke to and he screamed down the phone 'You're a stupid [removed:lang] and I’m going to get you!'

I am absolutely fuming about this. Obviously most of you on this thread have been scammed money but I will never allow anyone to speak to my wife like that. Not only is it abusive and offensive it came from absolutely no where!!

Is there any point in me writing a complaint? Who can i contact to report this disgusting company?

Try this number 0161 236 9897  to get through.

We signed up to the same deal as you, Tom, but were not told about the additional set up costs.  We were very clear it was for the trial only, but they are insisting it was an ongoing commitment.  I am refusing to pay and also proposing to contact Trading Standards and Advertising Standards unless they stop hassling us.

The person who sold the deal promised things that are apparently impossible to deliver technically; the guy who sorted it out has left and "we can't find any details on file that it was only a trial".

The advert did go live initially, but none of the promises were delivered, so I doubt it stayed live for very long - and we haven't had the promised stats!

Still negotiating ... but not impressed.

Same story, they phoned up " Hello Sir, Im calling from Google!" with a great offer to get me on the front page.... Well as everyone knows already, i obviously never made the front page.. Marvin Jarvis can rott in hell for all i care, he is the rudest person on this earth!
It seems crazy this company can phone up, pretend to be Google, and then legally take your cash. We have no comeback it seems!  Consumer direct arent interested neither are trading standards... so there free to carry on..... If they take any more money from me i willl find them. and i dont care what happens to me for what i do to them!.........
