I had 5 silent calls in 7 days (Number withheld)
one call from 01618263251 I presume the rest to be from the same auto dialer!!!!
Like many of the above I have an answer phone that picks up on two rings.
This blocks out there pre recorded message.

They've just called me.  No message left on answer-phone, but I've had a few others recently that go on about pensions, claiming to be "urgent", so this is obviously part of the same scam.

Silent call with no message on answerphone received Crewe area. Thanks for the updates as I knew not to respond :-)

I have had calls from this number incessantly over the past 2 weeks , not dumb enough to press 5 , suspect it would be £5 per min to listen to rubbish

Had a call from these people again today, we are on TPS so don't know what if happening.

called me @ 14.54, 28 Jan 13, no message left, now know why!       I haven't do so yet but does reporting the number to TPS or ICO do any good???????????????

Just been called today, 28 January at 5.15pm.  Said it was urgent about my private pension.  Press 5 to start claim or 9 to remove details.

Of course I don't have a personal pension. Pressed 5 and spoke to someone called Robert. When he asked for details I said I was a member of the TPS.  I said I wanted to be removed from the database and to know why I had been called.  He said 'we use an automated database and we don't just call you out of the blue, dear' then put the phone down on me.  

Sorry-they do call you out of the blue, and on an unscreened database.  These calls wind me up.

When I ran the number back 0161 826 3251 there was a recorded message saying I had received a marketing call. It was nothing to worry about and they might or might not call me back.  Grrrr.

Received the said message, did not press anything and the call went dead

Just had a call from this number.  Same as above e.g  private pension etc.  Not the first call I've had . Getting lots of cold calls even thought I have signed up to TPS.

0161 826 3251 called me, too.  I am also registered not to receive unsolicited calls like this. Given that someone is paying the bill for 0161 826 3251, you'd think they'd be disconnected, having received so many complaints from people.  It's about time the phone companies dealt with those making nuisance calls.

Called today from this number at 1156am Recorded message saying because I am under 60 (I'm not!) I am entitled to £1000 because of private pension. Then says to press 5 to proceed or 9 to be deleted.
I just left it running and it clicked off.

10.04am answered phone and got a Recorded message Female (English accent) offering "important news about my private pension" Then invited to press 5 for more info or 9 to be deleted.

Needless to say hung up immediately.

As above today 29th Jan 2013 at 14:14, got last part of recorded anouncment left on answer machine same under 60 so qualify for £1000 and press 5 or 9 etc

Yep, dumbos, just called me (29/01/2013, 17.00 hours)..."Important information regarding your private pension"....i just told 'em to f**k off and slammed the 'phone down!
