Received more than 1 call from this number regarding PPI. My number is on the Do Not Call list, so they are disregarding this and breaking the law.

Recorded message same as everyone else.  I did not answer - let it run, but it is very appealing - official sounding - and could take in some people. Can nothing be done about this?

Sounded like a hoax about £ 1000.noody gives that amount of money out .If anybody was really entitled it would be a government headed letter

Three new messages on my phone, 1 yesterday and 2 today, nothing but background sounds for a few seconds.  All three reported to ICO.

they appear to have another number that answers 01618263250-  drop the1 - and this answers as the Response Group to do with pensions- the manager is MICHAELaccording to the telephonist - I am waiting for him to call me back so I can give him a piece of my mind !! Hoho

This pesky number rang me today These people need to be stopped because this is criminal behaviour - but how?? Are we helpless against these scum??

Called my landline at 2.44pm on Friday 8/2/13. Went to answer machine and a recorded message left saying that "as you are under 60 you are  due £1000. Press 5 to proceed or 9 to unsubscribe".

I have a phone with call barring on it.

I enter the phone number and the phone automatically
blocks all future calls from that number.

cant believe this company is calling about private pensions. my mother is nearly 99 and lives in a home. she has been retired nearly 40 years and will not have a private pension as she has not worked since 1955.
where did they get her number from, its ex directory so can only get number if done randomly.

Just had another call from this number, a recorded message with an English lady's voice, this was followed 10 minutes later with another similar call from 01216672481.
Surely in this technological age BT can do something to stop these nuisance calls?
There is a mars rover doing experiments on rocks on mars and being controlled from an operator milions of miles away! Come on BT this is not rocket science!

I had exactly the same call today 11.2.13.
It was EXACTLY the SAME recording as I got the other day from a different 0121 number.

They COULD stop the number IF they wanted to. The fact is B.T. earn money from these types of call, so they choose not to block them or disconnect that number.
The T.P.S. is no help, nor is OFCOM. Both have pathertic excuses.
The I.C.O. take details, but I've never had any feedback from them either. Meanwhile the calls continue.

I no longer answer the phone at home - I work from home 2 - 3 days a week and we get up to 10 scumbag calls a day.  Oddly I was expecting a call from a Manchester number so checked online before I called back.

The TPS and Virgin Media are useless and havde the power and desire to do anything about this invasion of privacy.  I'm waiting for a device called a Call Blocker (see eBay for various models) which filters the calls allows you to block persistent calling numbers like these scumbags.

These pests have numerous alternative numbers they use, so blocking them won't solve your problem UNLESS it is from the same number.
I have had exactly the same recorded call several times from DIFFERENT numbers. Blocking won't stop them.

A Call blocker will ONLY block the number once it has been used to call you. Meantime the pests call using another number.
Save your money, call blockers don't stop you getting these calls. Trust me.

Second nuisance call today. Same recording (English female voice) doesn't name the caller and refers to Pension refund, Urgent refund £1,000 blah blah.
Press "2" immediately or "9" to be removed.
