As above with others. want to give money. press choice of numbers given by criminal.  that links to heaven knows what. TPS is paper tiger. The criminals know this and divert the calls through an overseas network to circumvent the terms of reference of he TPS. What seems to be a Manchester number may just be a rented system from a possible Vietnamese source as a cover for international criminals. To met he TPS and all the other agencies are useless. Can GCHQ not intercept these calls from international criminals when they are taping all our phones?

There is also the possibility that these criminals are using the telephone as a means of hacking into the wider broadband system, and attempting to infiltrate our PCs. Key message as given by others. Never press the numbers suggested by the criminals

I, too, received a call from this number around 11 a.m.  They left a message politely asking me to press 5 to proceed or 9 to jump ship.  They reckoned I was "under 60" so entitled to £1000.  That's discrimination against pensioners in my book!  Anyway, their message got even more desperate as the girl insisted the message was "urgent" and she begged me to "press 5...NOW!"

I too have had a call from these people .We do not need these pestering calls.  Can they be stopped?

Similar format to other correspondents - you are under 60 etc.  This type of caller is deliberately misleading people; simply by leaving a number which can be contacted they imply the information they have is legitimate.  I am sure many elderly and vulnerable people will be exploited and quite probably left financially compromised following such calls.  The TPS does work to a very limited degree but since this is in effect a private number it is powerless to intervene.  BT could unsubscribe this number but clearly, as with unwanted and persistent "International calls" is not motivated to take appropriate action.

had several call from this number, decided to answer for a change, before i could say a word they asked me to confirm i was under 60 . when my reply was to ask who makes up these scams  surprise surprise, they hung up. so rude!!

Totally fed up with continually being phoned from this number. I've received two today alone. I think it's about time that the Government stepped in to ban all cold calls assuming that none of our trusty M.P.s have any financial involvements with companies that use this sales methods.

The Information Commissioner's Office IS trying to stop these calls, but unless people report them the ICO doesn't know we are getting them.  The ICO recently fined two men £440,000 for operating this kind of thing and are actively pursuing other companies with a view to prosecution.  Reporting on the ICO website is easy and you don't need the caller's name, only the number.  You don't even need to give any personal info if you don't want.  Hanging up and posting on here will not get these calls stopped.  Reporting them will.

Called yet again from this number.  Recorded message about private pension.  Put phone down.
These calls are so irritating and unnecessary.  Oh for the days of the public phone box down the road.  No phone in the house, bliss.  No people shouting down mobile phones in the road.  Something to be said for the old days.

A scam? about pensions? Surely not yet another bunch of idiots wasting our time with unwanted phone calls?

These calls have been reported, it seems yet still continue!! How long does it take? is it really that hard for the telephonbe operators to track a call to its source?

Or do they want to keep them around as they are paying their phone bills?

This number is a pest and should be removed right now. Its a scam.

It is a marketing company who tell you that you will get £1000 if you were born after 1952, they arrange for a call back and then the call back is from a financial advisor who will try to give you a new pension.....

Had 20 calls from this no within 12 hours, on caller preference aswell, been told to change my phone no, I will not do that

Called today, Tuesday 05 February 2013, at 10:03 am; I was ot at home.  No message was left.

how do you know this is jobcentre plus?  I also have had this call and i also thought it was coming from
there, after making a claim for jobseekers.

A recorded message sayings it was urgent for me to contact them about my private pension. I hung up, but these calls are regular and a real time waster.

Don't waste your time as they will not deal with it either.  Why are we paying their wages?
