The claim is that £1000 is due because of a pension and being under 60.

When I pressed 5 they claim to be called the Pension Helpline but they are NOT a government organisation and they just want to process claims for misselling,  I'm sure the number has rung me before (and been reported by me to the TPS for a different claim - accident I think)

Pension scam call today reported to ICO. Urge everyone to do the same.

Just got a silent call from these sods. No message left on the answerphone, just a long beep!

Just received recorded message from this number. Same as other callers re payment of £1000 owed to me press 5 or 9 etc. the TPS is useless. Does anyone take these nuisance call complaints seriously?

Had call from this number at 6.40am this morning - not impressed!

They keep ringing at all hours of the day (up to 10pm) it is a pre-recorded message. Hang up as soon as it starts

Do what I do;  my handset can store around 100 numbers so when these twata call I store the number to directory and name it SPAM.  Next time they call (and they will), the caller ID shows 'SPAM' and I therefore don't bother picking up.

Only thing is, the memory isstarting to fill up.  Currently have 15 entries called SPAM.

Called today from this number. Recorded message saying because I am under 60 (I'm not!) I am entitled to £1000 because of private pension. Then says to press 5 to proceed or 9 to be deleted. PLEASE DON'T DO EITHER (unless you want to join suckers list) JUST END CALL IMMEDIATELY.

I have been getting this number every Day this week at lunchtime!
I am also with the TPS.
I do the same as Axxeman, I have quite a collection of SPAM numbers now. :-)

yep, getting the same recorded message , so annoying, have been calling me everyday and in the past with the a different story trying to get me to press 5 or 9, really worried that one day my child will pick up the phone and press one of these numbers.... how can we block it?

I've had this number phone today and my answerphone which I have set to answer in French did the trick. After changing my phone number to a new one (BT claims that it's a new number, never been used) I have had debt collectors, and threats from people who think I'm Mrs Blewitt (good name to have) lol from this so called new BT number.
I had been given this number from BT due to my house being let while I was away working in Australia..
How do these companies get these numbers? I've got use to leaving the answer machine on as if they are genuine they will leave a message. I thought by living in Oz this wouldn't happen, but it is worse there too and they are call centres in Thailand or Indonesia which always sounds as if you have called the local curry house for a take away!
No matter how much these people pester you, they will get fed up as it is costing these companies to phone you. It don't matter if you join up to a call barring company or if you are ex directory, just chill, have some fun with them, hold a conversation with them waste their time, ask them to hold as someone is at your door, they will hold, and go and make a cuppa, go back to the phone, they will either be there depending on how desperate they are, and then hang up on them, see how they like it!
Whatever you do, DO NOT PHONE THEM BACK AS THIS WILL COST YOU!

Reported to ICO.  Don't bother with TPS - a waste of time.

Called and said entitled to £1000 [pension credit. I asked name of company and where based and they slammed phone down and said F--k off,  Horrified I was !

Yet another call from these plebs about claiming on a pension.
Don't they ever give up?

Have had several calls from this no. Regarding mis sold private pensions. Ask me to dial 9 for further information. Needless to say, I don't, but would like to know which company this is, so that I can complain to tps.
