The problem is leads are generated by telesales manually i.e. they research a certain type of company and then its a free for all because they do no work from a central database most leads are paper based so there is no record how many times a company is phoned which is often several times they same week. There is a list supplied of companies by H/O not to call which are mainly ones that owe money but a TPS ist is not referred to- the attitude is "wait to they try and sue"

I would just like to point out to everyone who reads the complaints on this site. The comments and that's 95% of them are from ex employers from a company formed off the back of PSCA.

Have PSCA ever been told by the British Government (specifically the DTI) to change their company trading name because it was deemed misleading and likely to cause harm to the public?

Do PSCA use crown copyright material which is publically available as editorial? Do they then claim that the author of this publically available material writes for their products to add credibility even though this is not a true representation of the author's participation?

Do PSCA salespeople routinley purport to be senior members of staff who have been in meetings and have rushed out to phone a company because a senior civil servant has demanded their inclusion in a publication - despite this whole meeting scenario having NEVER ONCE happened in the ten years they have been trading?

Have the Advertising Standards Authority ever found that PSCA's job adverts falsely misrepresent PSCA's links to government?

Does all this add up to give the impression that PSCA are perhaps not the most ethically run business?

Right - lets clear a few things up.

One - I'm not Tony or Pete and I don't work for GovToday. That's the truth.

Even then, in reponse to your post on the Birmingham page, which I must compliment you on for its brilliance, insight and wisdom:

I don't remember you having anything at all to do with PSCA's growth or success - in fact since you arrived the Manchester office is now two men, a dog and Wazza keeping the leccy bill paid.

The very fact you fail to answer my earlier points shows they are true - the name change, government departments telling you to remove their name from products, Warrender's £40k bullying episode, the lying salespeople etc etc etc etc

And finally, the very fact you get caught up in a spat like this with someone on the intenet illustrates perfectly how you are out of your depth in your job. Gordon wouldn't get caught up in trading insults over the internet, because, if you'll forgive the obvious joke, he is a bigger man than you are.

Though he is still a knob too of course.

I used to work for PSCA as a Sales Manager for sales team selling event sponsorship.  

I left!  The reasons for this is numerous, but despite some decent managers in the company (all of which have left now!!) and some hard working sales people who want to earn money the company is basically 'conveyor belt' of sales staff who are 'sold' the idea of big bucks and soon realise PSCA's time has come.  You will notice PSCA constantly advertise in MEN, this is not because they are expanding, its because no-one ever stays.
Their response to this post will be; "THAT'S BECAUSE THEY'RE WEAK".  But it isn't, its because the company uses bully tactics on the sales staff to 'brainwash' them into thinking they are weak if they don't a company they call to sign up (and waste £15k) on sponsorship packages.  This transferes to the clients, hence the huge number of complaints.

Instead of spending time on here (yes you Paul) trying to defend themselves they should concentrate on doing things properly and not pissing off 1000's of companies every month and wasting other peoples time who are actually trying to earn an 'honest' days pay.

PSCA ,a question?  Why is your STOP LIST so huge (over 50 pages when I worked there)?  If you were offering such fantastic services wouldn't people actually be calling in to book, not avoiding/blocking calls from your staff.  

I want to take this opportunity to warn anyone who is even considering working for or with PSCA....DON'T.  

I am now a Sales Director  for a large, growing, muliti million £ company, whom despite the recession is generating 45% increase in sales (without having a STOP LIST). If you need advice on how to do this then just ask.  The first step is simple, get rid of Paul & Big Wend.  Second = provide a first class product/service then charge 1st class fee's, talk to you customers/get feedback, improve what you are offering, charge more.  The cycle is positive, I know PSCA is heading in the other direction.  

The sooner you go bust the better and it will happen and Paul if you need a job.....there's always 'selling what you used to in Ibiza'!!

I decided to find out a bit more about this caller and was shocked to see that PSCA International haven't filed their accounts which were due in September 2010. Surely a company is not allowed to trade and call people if it hasn't filed accounts?

Probably panicking :) I can't wait till they're filed, should be an interesting read - and will be winging their way to Private Eye instantly.

With regards to the several comments implying that 95% of the negative comments on here are disgruntled ex employees, I smell more BS. Most of us have clearly been on the receiving end of one of their horrendous high-school intelligence level calls and have simply come to vent.

Incidentally, I find it amusing that the "Director" (apparently Wendy) justifies page after page of complaints by saying "oh it's just ex employees". If that was the case (which it isn't) do you think that paints your "company" in a good light? The vast majority of my ex colleagues who left the company I work for, still speak very highly of it and their time here.

Nice to see PSCA is still #5 in the google rankings; people pay good money to google consultants for that sort of attention.

If they continue to use "public service" to announce themselves, I'll create a new page with that title and link to all these pages until they give up or fold. Waiting on their accounts feels like the run up to christmas as a child. Sad? Yes. Enjoyable? Very much so.

Re: PSCA International's accounts. Why don't you all complain to Companies House about the late accounts, see below.....

"Failure to file accounts or annual returns is a criminal offence which can result in directors being fined personally in the criminal courts. The registrar may also take steps to strike the company off the public record.  Your company could receive a late filing penalty and as a director, you could incur a fine for the same set of accounts if you do not file them on time.  Failure to pay a late filing penalty can result in enforcement proceedings."

Too late, the accounts have just been filed, but are not yet available via companies house website so its only just happened.

On 22nd December 2010, i had D***** Snape call form this number claiming to be form Public Service. It was difficult to determine what they were after after consistantly trying to get directors names and experience for what seemed to be a conference where said director would be invited to speak - along with senior ministers. He even said he'd been in meetings with the PM....

The bit that confused me was not providing any "useful" info on what they were trying to do, but rather kept trying to understand our experience (which is all on our corporate website anyway...). He also woudln't pass on an email address for us to drop through a prospectus if that's what they were after. All in all a very pushy "need to know now and you could be missing out on the oportunity if you don't tell me" so managed to get rid of teh call eventually, what a watsed 30mins of my life i'll never get back. [The website however is rather convincing that it may be legit but altogether - it just doesn't stack up]
