Had many 'missed' call from this number 01709 764400 and also 01790 765330 over the last few days no one ever answers when try to pick up !!! If I try to ring back it just goes dead. Beware these numbers. Serch says a BT number but not so sure !!!

Same here, a week of missed calls from the 330 number (which I ignored in the hope they'd get the message!) and today 764400 has started. I will ignore them too and hopefully they'll go away after a week!
The reason many get silence when they answer might be because it is an automated calling system which if you pick up puts you through to a person. If there are no people free or the system has a fault then you would get silence until someone becomes free.

01709764400 - Guy claims to be from Vodafone... when challenging him about my upgrade date (that he got wrong) I said i was not interested and was called a d*ckhead and he hung up!!!

Called umpteen times from this number, previously silent when answered but today actually spoke to someone. Claimed to be calling on behalf of PlusNet and wanted to check my usage as she "could offer me a better deal". Then proceeded to go through a number of the calls I had made (she had all the details of the numbers I had called in front of her) decided she could not save me money on calls and started to try to sell me a broadband offer. At this point I told her that I was not interested and would they please remove my number from their calling list. What worries me is that a company who are clearly not PlusNet had details of the numbers I had called. I will take this up with PlusNet.

I've long since stopped even trying to answer this one after several silent responses, I've been averaging 3 calls a day for 2 months at least from this and the 330 number. Tactics seem to have changed, they seem to be trying to fill my voicemail up by having conversations among two workers at the call center for 2 or 3 minutes a time on it. When will these companies start to fall foul of harassment laws?

I just got called at 15.20. The caller sounded very unprofessional and I could hear a lot of laughing in the background. They addressed me by my name and claimed they wanted to talk about my phone line. After laughing again, they then hung up!

Got a phone call from this number - they started off claiming to be Vodafone and asking me to 'verify your bank account details' and I swore at them and hung up.
If they were legit Vodafone they wouldn't have asked for my BANK account details!

Called asked 4me by name and I asked who's askin? Hung up. I called bk no answer and the call cut off. Rotherham

Have just had a call from this number - I did not answer as did not recognise the number & no message was left. I am TPS registered and ex-directory, not with BT or Vodaphone either.

Will be reporting to Information Commissioners Office - and I would advise all of you to do the same.

This is a company that works on behalf of Vodafone, BT and many other companies, known as Webhelp UK.

Hi there, I currently work in a call centre for Vodafone, it is situated in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. That is our number that comes up and it is legit. Vodafone and BT BOTH work here, when you are telling people not to give out their personal information we already have it logged through our system.

You are a fraud. A scam- do not pick this call!!

this number called me 4 times in one day and offered me an ipad in swap for my first born child i accepted but the terms and conditions had swaps back so i quickly declined
