Missed call from this number. Thanks for the warnings I won't call it back.

I too had a call from this number, didn't make to the phone in time, but I had a right mind to call back and shout at them. I didn't, however.

This number called me a few times during the week. I did not answer but dialled 1471. They started calling again today and called at least 6 times, starting to call every 25 mins. So, I answered. A lady said her name was Dina said she was from BT and asked for my husband by name. I said he wasn't in and she wanted to know when to call him back. I asked her if she had been calling my number every 25 mins that morning and she said no. I asked if she could leave a number, and she promptly said, oh.. i'll call back again in a weeks time. When I checked 1471 again, it was indeed the number that had been calling all day.

Apparently someone from BT (clearly not; someone on commision?), offering a better deal on broadband+phone package. Spam/advertising. Another nuisance.

Just got this one today.

Somebody claiming to be from BT but turns out to be Hero TSC phoned me today trying to flog me broadband.  I acted daft and asked a lot of questions and was told that the caller gets commision for everybody they sign up so I kept her on the phone for 15 mins and 3 seconds then told her what I thought of her and her company.  So for 15 mins and 3 seconds today at least she couldn't pizz off somebody else.  I'm going to try for 20 minutes next time.   If we all do that, they will go out of business!

There is a list of those authorised by BT to contact number holders..

To have you number removed simply call 08000282272 and BT will remove your details

Make sure you have your BT details to hand, they will ask you if you are registered with the TPS and then tell you they will further remove you from the BT Marketing Database which once completed will take approx 30 days to complete.

Got same call as everybody else from 01709 764 400. Caller says from BT & wants to advise me of special offers & savings because I've been with BT a long time. Asks if I have broadband or mobile broadband, I say yes thanks and he hangs up. I am ex-directory & on TPS so may have been random button pusher. Will report to BT nuisance calls on 0800 661 441 if I get called again. If everybody complains on this number may be BT might do something, but them again may be they won't.

I got a call from these today asking me if i wanted bt broadband and calls for 16 a month with the first 3 months free , i said i had already got broadband with another server the gentleman was not pushy he just said ok and thank you for your time
i just wondered why BT had phoned from a landline number so i phoned BT who didn't know anything about them but they put me through to TPS who told me that they were BT Partners who worked on behalf of BT , it seems a bit strange that BT no nothing

Claimed to be from BT. I gather from the posts that it is not.

Claims to BT and has our personal details, keeps nagging us to change to BT broadband, but it's too slow and they don't take no for an answer.

Perhaps there's no where on the screen to record a NO answer.

As Mannin Security Investigation Srvs correctly points out above, they are a marketing form called Hero TSC.

They are 'approved partners' of BT so technically it is a legitimate call.

Still very annoying having these clowns ring you up with their 'offers'.

They should honour TPS though.

I got that call tonight from a guy called Roger.
Hero tsc seem to be a large organisation, but I could not find any reference to BT on their website.
I have asked them to investigate.
I am rather puzzled as to why he did not block the 1471 ID facility if he is not genuine.

yeah just had the clowns call me a moment ago, will be ready for them next time they ring, its about time these blinkin calls stopped, im in business and take more call like this than i do business calls, its madness, why cant bt stop all this!

I have been recieving call from cothis company for several months pretending to be BT. Ive contacted bt over this and they are aware of the situation and are trying to increase secruity. I am already registered with TPS have been for years and have BT privacy service. Despite this calls remain. BT advised me to contact TPS directly and they will contact this company to stop the calls.

They called me today, again I am on the TPS list already (I checked), but the BT guy I spoke to at Customer Services said I wasn't, so they have activated TPS from their end as well, and have also given me free caller display and made my number completely ex-directory. I think this is what they call the BT Privacy service. So we'll see if that stops these calls.
