Ji Jode, when i was called i was asked to confirm my bank details. I was assured by Vodafone that i would never be asked for this information over the phone. LIER

There is another number (01709765330) that i have been getting at the same time that the 01709764400 started to ring me.Said were Vodafone!? Possibly from the same building?
Searched the ...330 number and that came up as Simplisity Communications ltd. But there contact address is in Watford Hertfordshire. Where as 01709 is Rotherham Yorkshire. Maybe sourced out or on contract.
Street view also shows as a very 'residential' style up market area.

Unwanted call repeated several times a day

Geezer phoned me today said he was BT and that according to his records my house phone number used to be a BT number I told him I've never been on BT he asked for us by name and said he could do us a better deal than VIRGIN I've researched his number 01709764400 and there just con artist bull [***] don't know how he got my number and name don't give them any personnel info and hang up like me

You might like to know these people are  a large company and like many corporates, break all the rules to make a profit.

If you are TPS registered with call barring. ensure you make a complaint and get them fined and stopped. A little research will reveal they do this all the time.

Had a call from this number when I answered they put the phone down.  Have no idea who it is or could be.

That is exactly what I do also.  The longer we keep them on the fewer people they hassle and the less likelihood there is of them earning any commission .  I kept a caller from India on the phone for about 25 minutes a couple of months ago -  a scam through which he wanted me to put on my computer and 'he'd talk me through all I needed to do to stop someone hacking my account'.  I asked him to tell me who my broadband supplier was and quote my account number.  He didn't even know my name or my address (just wanted to take over my computer for some illicit reason).  These clowns think we are all stupid.

I have just got back from picking up my daughter and noticed I had a message from this number, couldn't make out what the message said though

Caller asked to speak to my Father. I enquired what it was about and they again asked to speak to him I said he had died 20yrs ago.caller hung up.

Several calls from this mumber rang it back and nothing so presume it to be a con. Do yourselves a favour ignore it !!!

This number phoned me every time he or she put it down... I phoned  them back didn't answer me I would like to no haw they no my number when it a private number.....

I have several missed calls from this number, tried ringing back but no answer. Wondering who it coild be?

Had a call from this number.  Do not know why they were calling but could not make out what this person was saying but abusive language was used.

01709 764400 rang today, never spoke then hung up. Called straight back after reading the comments below, phone rang 3 times then diverted to engaged tone. It is clearly harassment and there is a Law against that so hopefully the Police can locate the address that they are Operating out of.

10 03am A male person called me and I did not answer initially...waited and then the caller said'she is not answering but is there'
I put the phone down immediately

This number calls me constantly......I always hang up!!!!
