I have caller display so do not answer unknown numbers, This number has called 6 times between 31st Oct and 8th Nov. Never leaves a message. Tempted to answer next time to find out who this is!

Why dont we all just keep calling them on 01324 575 000?

Thank you to those people who have answered this caller and consequently passed on  helpful information. I always assume that genuine callers will leave a message if important as I very rarely answer a call these days because of mainly marketing rubbish. Thank you peoples.

Sick of these calls, im getting them every day now at the same time - 5pm. I always let it go to answer phone and they never leave a message. How can i stop these calls ?

Got one of these calls this morn and they asked to speak to 'the billpayer'. Chap says he's from BT and can offer me a good deal to bring me back to BT. Turns out they couldn't better what I'm already on with a different provider and he was polite and honest about it, no pushy selling.

I got a call from this number from someone (Neil) claiming to be from BT and offering me an upgrade to BT Infinity broadband. I realised afterwards this was a scam phonecall.

They are not scammers they are working on behalf of BT with BT's permission, we should all be complaing to BT, why the hell do company's think by hounding you they will get your business!

I run my own small business and spend most of my time answering the phone to these flippin cold callers, get more calls of this nature than I do inquiries relating to work, it stinks!

I'm now getting so I answer them just to wind them up, act dumb or just tell them to hold on and put the phone down and go off and do something else they always hang up surprisingly :)

I am disabled and keep getting this number calling me, it worrys me because as other people i too am Xlisted and only give number to friends and family..ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO STOP THEM.

Call recieved from this number when answered, they hung up.

Hello - so glad WhoCAlls Me is working today - could NOT get through to this site yesterday and was devastated as always checkout unknown annoying numbers now . Just received yet another call from this number. Like many others, I don't answer numbers I don't recognise and let it go to answer machine but they don't leave a message. Still bugs me though as  it interrupts me.  Thank goodness for this site when I can confirm it's another one of these cold callers. I too am with TPS but it doesn't keep them all out.

This number is HEROtsc, a partner company to BT. Even if you are registered with the TPS, and are ex-directory, BT partner companies can ring your number.

1. Ring BT's billing department and request that they do not share your number with their partner companies, which they should do for you free of charge.

2. Failing that ring the company on their registered number, which is 01709 765600 for their Rotherham branch (known as Dearne Valley), complain, and tell them to remove your number from their telemarketing list.

3.  Ring BT and request for them to permanantely withold your phone number when you make calls. They should activate this service for you free of charge. If you need to make a call that doesn't withold your number you simply put 1470 before entering the number you are calling. That will temporarily release your phone number.

I just got a call from this number. answered and there was just silence on the other end! How very annoying that this number has been calling people for over a year and they havent sorted it!

Same thing as others. Continuous missed calls. Claim they are from BT but when challenged either disconnect or put us on hold. we are registered with TPS. Have reported to Ofcom.

There needs to be much stiffer penalties for this kind of thing.

Yes, I'm getting these calls now although they've always called when I'm out. Had this sort of thing before. I usually ask them to confirm my account number, they usually hang up and stay gone.

answered this call who requested to speak to my husband, I advised that he did not want this call, operator became agressive and stated that I didnt even know who the call was from.  I advised her that it was neither a friend or family and that I had not instigated the call and requested our number be removed from their call list.  Again she stated that I didnt know who was calling I repeated that she was neither a friend of family member and to remove our number.  She stated that she would just call again later, I advised that she wouldn't as I would be putting the number into our call barring feature and hung up.  We really need to do something about this type of irritating nuisance call at a time when all households should be having R & R

I had a call from this number today. I said hello twce and they hung up. I don't know anyone in Rotherham.
