    The Optimax Call Centre Machine

    http://www.optimaxcareers.co.uk/jobs/

In their own words, the main call centre in Peterborough is a farm where they cultivate fluffy interest into hard sell surgery booking. Customers are merely cattle. Hence why some of you may feel like you're being cold-called. You are!

    As they wrote

"  To proactively use the Optimax / Ultralase database to search for, and contact, existing enquiries updating records as necessary and converting enquiries into bookings.

    Overall Duties :-
To convert enquiries (both new and existing leads) into bookings.
To update personal knowledge of treatments and products.
To maintain complete and accurate computer records.
    To achieve agreed targets."

Notice how overall duties for this 'customer service' role do not include any designed to assist or improve the customer experience?

It's all about money. Need further proof?

    http://www.liveseysolar.com/optimax/

In this article Livesey Solar, wolf of Wall Street sales types, brag about doubling Optimax 'conversion' from enquiry to consultation booking. A masterclass in hard sell!!!

Optimax wanted to increase the conversion rate of their telephone call centres in Newcastle and Peterborough. After a 6 month engagement, we increased their telephone enquiry to appointment conversion rate by from 15% to just over 30% resulting in an annualized gross revenue lift of £13 million.

MBE Exposed? replies to my beautiful eyes campaign
    | 2 replies
    18th Februry 2015:

"You raise your eyebrows in disbelief, but they really are upset - because there is no amount of money that will ever persuade me to keep quiet and go away!

Compensation with a gagging order failed to silence me, as did bribery offers and physical threats.

Russell Ambrose told me in 2013 that I should stop being angry, but I fuel my campaign against this corrupt and immoral industry with my anger"

    11th November 2015:

    " ... Silence..."

Talk about corruption in the laser eye surgery sector, MBE prove in my opinion that this was always to do with extorting money from private clinics and never about helping the few people with genuine problems. The handful of vulnerable people they've used for their own gains must feel let down and used while the MBE ringleaders walk away with a fistful of dollars. Now the out of court settlement has cleared, the coverage has suspicially gone away.

Hats off to the My Beautiful Lies campaign, they played a blinder.

3 Years after Laser Eye Surgery

I am sure most of the good reviews come from people who have recently had there surgery. Well straight after my laser surgery I was also happy. But it is a different story 3 years later. The laser eye surgery i had with Optimax has given me cornea ectasia, i've had to pay for 3 costly trips to London to have further remedial surgerys, taking weeks of time off work. I still have irrepairable damage to my eyes, my vision is worse now than before I even had laser, I have to wear uncomfortable hard contact lenses to just bring my vision to driving standard, i will never get 20/20 vision again.

An MBE terrorist walks into a bar.

The barman asks: Why the long face?

    The MBE terrorist replies:

Cos I have a court case this afternoon against my LASIK provider and I've been told that if I want to win my negligence case, I need to lay it on thick and exaggerate my condition.

    LMFAO.

If a post-op Optimax LASIK patient walked into a bar, you could argue he had a pretty good case for negligence!

Suing my LASIK doc isn't the first medical negligence claim I've put in.

I once sued my vasectomy surgeon. He got the sack.

I went for that LASIK eye surgery today and it went really well until I came to pay the bill.

When I asked why it was nearly $1000 per eye instead of the advertised $200, they simply said "Hidden charges, didn't you see the small print?"

"Yes definitely" my LASIK eye doctor told me. Well let me tell you something, It did nothing for my illiteracy.

Went to choose my new glasses today after my failed LASIK treatment meant I still needed to wear glasses.

Good looking babe in the opticians asked, "Would you like them with a rim?"

Let's just say it'll be a while before they let me in that store again.

An Optimax patient wanders up to their Lincoln Road laser clinic in Peterborough and tells the receptionist they are there for their next week follow-up appointment.

The receptionist smiles and says that's great news, but this is the Furniture Bargain store. Optimax is across the road.
