Please check the difference between "who" and "whom". Your misuse of English is offensive. Is this the standard employed by a reputable company?

The name change was due to Iqor selling the company to Capita. As for Statute Barred accounts, Even if the 6/7 years has passed, we can still pursue you for the outstanding balance. What we can not do is issue court proceedings against you for it.

I do apologise for this mistake. Although perhaps if you spent less time criticising people and more time paying your debts then you would not need to be on such a forum.

For your information, All collection agents go through an intensive vetting process, In-depth training programme and no fewer than ten examinations before being allowed anywhere near a customer.  All agents whom have been at the company for over 12 months are also CSA Accredited.

You can pursue all you like, but you can't legally get a penny back. You know as well as I do that you only do this in the hope that people don't know their rights.

I would never condone anyone avoiding paying what they owe. However, they should always try to arrange this with their creditor. NOT parasites such as the company you claim to represent.

Before you tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about, please bear in mind that I have spent several years working at Margate CAB, and the last two months as a Magistrate at Margate Magistrates Court.

In principle, I agree that whenever possible, people should pay what they owe. The reality is that things change, and they then have to prioritise. And unsecured debt comes bottom of their priorities.

Trying to scare them in to paying is, in my opinion, disgusting.

No doubt you'll post your own opinions on this. But I would advise anyone to make companies like the one you work for, the last debt that they pay.

Scare tactics may frighten old ladies and single mums. But hopefully even they are becoming aware that you people have no teeth.

    Not happy!!!
I got a call from this number today 01772220504. I looked up the number online and found it to be one of the numbers that Akinika use. I missed two calls from them and phoned them back telling the man that I recieved a missed call from this number above. The voicemail stated that I was a Mrs Victoria Berksley. Well stop right there! I am not Victoria Berksley, I am a man. Furthermore I have NO debt. I explained to the man that I was not this woman. Hopefully they have just made a mistake with numbers. No idea how they got my number and hope they don't call back!

This outfit is from akinika Debt Recovery Limited (formerly iQor Recovery Services), and could be any gov dept, have half a name for me and half a national number. Same story, you owe money to dwp hmrc or whatever. Invest in Caller Display, money well spent, and ignore them.

I have recieved a call from these people today.  I told them i was not interested and put the phone down.  I then read your review.  I have never had a 'Crisis Loan' or any loan from the DWP.

The tax office do not ship out debts they track and get the money back through their own departments.

These people are bad news and pests.  Just ignore the calls.

if its DWP it will be passed to their solicitors then doorstep collectors, if its HMRC you will have county court proceedings taken against you and they may seize your goods as the law allows. it's not an "oh well" moment im sorry to say.

    Great King Rat
These "people" left me a text at 08:32 on a saturday morning, in which they stated that they are called "Akinika, formerly iQor" [no idea who the [***] either of those names are], that they "need to speak to me on a personal business matter" [come on! is it PERSONAL, or is it BUSINESS? Can't be both?], and to ring them [as if I would!] on 01772 557642.  I have forwarded this text to 7726 [or "SPAM" on your keypad] so that the Official Regulator can have a look at them.  I advise others to do the same.  Interestingly, the pop-up advert which appeared on the page when I entered this number here is for a "Solicitor Specialising in Benefit Fraud Defence DWP LBC HMRC" -- Coincidence?
