I don't think so it is a scam, because we are reeving end number of calls every day from some Indian call center.They are also India based company so I think they can spread the data to different call center and can stop at least 80 % telemarketing calls

tps service number starts 020 and not this stupid 01792454180,this is a scam and has little or nothing to do with the tps service,keeps ringing me from this and another number everyday and is really peeing me off to the point i have contated the police to see it they can trace the calls?

I found the TPS were useless. I registered with them and STILL received up to 10 phone calls a DAY from people trying to sell me things and to take out loans for almost a year! Finally couldn't stand being woken up early hours of the morning with the computer generated dialing. Registered with CPR Global, which this number is for 01792454180, and they stopped the calls with 28 days. It's worth paying the fee just to get those annoying calls stopped. It definitely isn't a scam! I have actually recommended this to family who have been pestered with bogus callers too.

I sent an E mail to 10 Downing street complaining about these international calls from India....B.T say they can not do any thing about the calls and told me in so many words put up or shut up....The police who are as useful as an ashtray on a push bike,said just look at display on phone and dont answer it...Have we as a nation got to put up with scam calls to old people for the rest of our lifes or what....By the way 10 Downing street have not replied to my E mail suprise suprise...Wait for the next election....Another waste of space organisation......By the way the person who they asked to look at caller display is 74 years old and nearly blind......What has happened to the great in Britain      Dave K

me and my husband signed up because we kept getting nuisance international calls payed the money and we still kept getting the calls so we got in touch with them to complain that the service isnt working now we keep getting missed calls of them everyday since then and the 2 times we have been in to answer the phone they say the same thing of we will clear it all for you and refresh it. my husband spoke to them and said you are now the nuisance caller as weve been away for a week and have come home to 19 missed calls 4 of them being international numbers and the rest being 'CPR' we may aswell have thrown the money in the bin.

I've been getting nuisance calls from this no.  Now I find out it is actually the site I reistered with the STOP nuisence calls!!!

No message, caller rang off as soon as they heard I was on Answerphone.

I received one of these calls this morning but as I always leave my phone in 'answer machine' mode they hung up immediately. I found the number by dialling 1471 then traced it here. I am assuming this is as a result of my contacting Virgin Media (service provider) to complain about some strange cold calls I had been getting lately. Yesterday I received an unknown cold call (answer machine was off as I was expecting an important call) and when I didn't get an immediate response on answering my phone I hung up but for the next 10 minutes every time I tried to use my phone the cold call was still on the line; I got the usual awful music with a periodic recorded message informing me 'thank you for your patience, all our agents are busy but one will be with you shortly'. I even resorted to unpugging my phone from its wall socket but that didn't work either. This meant my phone was completely tied up and calls couldn't either be made or received. Virgin Media seemed unable to explain what was happening but suggested that there was a way of stopping cold calls which is why I assume I got the call today. Like the many writers on here I will not be using this service and instead I will investigate buying a call barring machine. I would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced anything similar to this.

Like Data Locators ltd who hide behind the overseas call centres and the name Consumer Lifestyle..... CPR Global are more scam monkeys.....

Received a call from 01792454180 told them I wasn't interested and didn't want to discuss it with them.  They wanted to know 'why I didn't want to discuss it' so I said 'NO THANKYOU' and rang off, they immediately rang me back on a WITHHELD number wanting to no 'why I wouldn't discuss it' to which I put the phone down, unbelievably they rang me again on a WITHHELD number but then hung up.  Why do we have to put up with these nuisance callers they are a daily nightmare?

These people call themselves the Call Prevention Registry yet they plague people with their OWN marketing calls !!!! How dumb is that??.

Take it from me, they are utterly useless. I signed up [and paid] once with them before and they did NOTHING to stop unwanted calls. When you complain, they dont bother responding.
I wrote to Swansea Trading Standards [who cover their office locality] and they were useless as well.
I demanded my money back - never heard a thing.

Call Prevention Register should be banned/outlawed as a fraudulent company.

CPR are not a scam, I was getting international calls 3 or 4 times a week ad god-knows what o'clock in the morning. I registered with them about 4 or 5 years ago and have had no problems since.
