Report a phone call from 01792454180 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Annoyed2 replies to Kevin (CPR)| 4 repliesYou seem to be doing a lot of posting on here , all with the same message, can you confirm or deny that you are cold calling people with calls they never wanted to sell them a device that stops calls that they never wanted ?. All very odd.
- Nan replies to Annoyed2True. They are better at posting on here than they are at explaining why an elderly widow was conned into paying for an annual subscription, when she thought she had just bought a unit. They are also shy of explaining why the money was taken out of her account 5 whole months before the year was up. As an aside, signed up on the other site.
- mrs s doughty| 1 replyi went on line to what i thought was T P S to stop unwanted phone calls. a few days later this number rang me up so i thought it was the company i had delt with on line. when i spoke my sister she said that it couldn't have been TPS as its free. i feel such a fool x i have paid out 1 payment of £19.99 but i have now called my bank and cancelled anymore payments they may try to get. that number says it is orange and i have not been able to get through to them as of yet.
- Caller: the number says its orange
- Call Prevention Registry replies to mrs s doughtyEverytime we read these posts, we cringe in disgust as you people clearly don't listen to things when we call you, and just rant on about things so we'll just leave it at that. Just carry on receiving nuisance calls if that's what makes you happy, We're not going to post tit for tat arguments as we're far too busy trying to help appreciative customers stop their calls. We know what ALL of you people have probably done. You have tried to register for FREE with the TPS but typed into google (TPS). The first site that comes up in Google is OUR site as we are number 1 for stopping calls not TPS. When you click that link, you are taken to the call prevention registry website instead of TPS.
If you want to register for a company will will guarantee to stop your nuisance calls, go here...
www.callpreventionregistry.co.uk
If you want the free TPS (Telephone Preference Service) that doesn't work, go here...
http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html
If that's not easy to follow, what is? - Kevin (CPR) replies to Annoyed2| 2 repliesHi There
I promise you, we don't cold call customers. We only call customers WHO HAVE REGISTERED their details on our website. Whether they have mistakenly registered with us instead of TPS, who knows, but that's the only reason why. - Old Mother Riley replies to Kevin (CPR)| 1 replyI think I understand that. You do not cold call people. You call only those people who have registered with you and paid for your service. Your service aims to stop unwanted calls. Circular logic at its best, surely?
- Kevin (CPR) replies to Old Mother RileyYes, we only call customers who have left their details on the website to explain the service.
If customers don't want it, they simply tell us no, if they do, then good, we get to work at
trying our best to stop 95-100% of those calls on the call prevention registry and we can
also give customers one of our All-in-One superb call blocker units for free for registering...
worth £39.99. All of this for just £39.99 one off payment and no need to renew after the year
because the call blocker will assist in keeping all of your nuisance calls to the absolute minimum = 0.
Information on the call blocker can be found here...
www.cprcallblocker.com - MeIf this number is from Call Prevention Service, it is NOT working. I am forever getting unwanted calls.
- Phil ChilversThis is the Call Prevention Registry. They supposedly put your number on a list that prevents a lot of unwanted phone calls. I was receiving a lot of calls from finance companies seeking the previous residents of my house. I paid the Call Prevention Registry a fee in an attempt to stop them. It worked for a period of time and then the calls started again. I then bought the company's CPR Callblocker (a small box that connects between your phone line and phone. This stops an amazing amount of different types of unwanted calls.). I had blissful silence for ages until the Call Prevention Registry started calling me. Strangest thing is that they more than likely know that I have a Callblocker. If I dialled 1471 I was told that the number has been withheld. However the CPR Callblocker is supposed to block withheld numbers so they can obviously bypass that (after all they invented the thing!). My only advice is that if they persistently call you tell them that you know who they are, that what they are doing is harassment, that it is illegal and that if they continue to call you that you will inform The Police. And more importantly, mean it! The most recent time they called me I was informed that the number of the caller was 01792454180 when I dialled 1471.
- Caller: Call Prevention Registry
- Whistle BlowerI have a number of calls from this organisation, firstly I am with TPS and they are crap as well.
I am registered with an organisation name escapes me at this time, but it only cost £25 per year and is effective to date except for these people.
I give them the whistle treatment if I am at home when they ring. a long blast down the phone seems to scrare them off.
Always keep a whistle by your telephone in readiness.- Caller: null
- J.W. replies to EllenJust had a call from them. I pointed out that I was NOT registered with them but was with tps. I also told them that somebody had tried this cam last week and had been reported. I do not accept call from con-men trying to get money out of me.
Just a warning...they do use different phone numbers. - The Wing CommanderThese muppets called me today - Said I was registered and how was it working? (I'm not registered with them) and told them it wasn't working. Said they'd 'refresh' their data... They never asked for a penny - so - how can their scam work? (though I've no doubt it is a scam!)
I'll add their call as a matter of interest to my recordings on our youtube page - Where you'll find many more examples of how to deal with nuisance callers (and it will REALLY cut nuiscance calls down - for free!)

The company is called 'Call Prevention Registry'. They are a nuisance call prevention company based in Swansea.
WANT YOU TO PAY THEM TO RING CALLS WHO SPAM CONTACT YOU - they are scammers too!!!- Caller: Call Prevention Registry
- unanimous replies to jothey have clearly stated that they only ring you after you register on the website, that clearly means your all [***] and do not read the website before registering so your the ones to blame, next time maybe read thing before you register then we want have idiots like you lot commenting on here there a scam when the clearly do what they say.
Read the website and learn that the stop the oversea calls which will obviously come at a cost, so don't be such doughnuts thinking your right when your not..... - Kevin (CPR CallBlocker)I've said this before and will keep saying it so you people can understand. We provide two services for preventing
nuisance calls.
1. We offer our unique registry (www.callpreventionregistry.co.uk). You basically register your details and we will
call you back explaining the service, how it works and the price it costs to register. If you do decide to take our
service, 95-100% of your calls should stop within 28 days. If you carry on getting calls, we'll keep refreshing your
details to make sure companies are listening to us and remove you from their data calling lists. We make this
information available to all the cold calling companies and Data warehouses for FREE so they have to abide by
law, remove your details and stop calling you. If they still continue to pester you, our data protection office rings
will ring these cold callers for you on your behalf and demand your number to be removed immediately. Failure to
do so results in our data protection office reporting these offenders to the I.C.O (Information Commissioners Office)
who can then fine these cold calling companies anywhere from £5.000.00 - £500.000.00. We also work around the
clock at refreshing these details to companies hence why we are a lot more successful than the TPS
(Telephone Preference Service). The TPS may be free to the customer but they make their money by charging these
cold calling companies to download their data lists and obviously companies won't pay thousands to do this so they
are not legally obliged to listen to the TPS and stop calling you and that's another reason why the TPS service
doesn't work effectively. (The Golden Rule: Nothing in life is free. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is)
Here at CPR (Call Prevention Registry) we make our data lists available for FREE, hence why we have to charge the customer £39.99 per year. No company can guarantee to stop 100% of calls but we come very close. In rare situations where you may still get calls, we go that extra mile to stop them by offering you a FREE CPR All-In-One Call Blocker
which is worth £39.99 alone. With this piece of equipment in place, we guarantee that 100% of ALL your calls will stop
plus we will continue to keep your number off cold calling lists while you're registered with us until the year is up.
If customers don't want our registry, then by all means, simply tell us no when we call you and we won't bother you again
but please make sure you are registering on the correct websites.
Our website is www.callpreventionregistry.co.uk and this costs £39.99 per year which is 95-100% effective.
The T.P.S (Telephone Preference Service) is a FREE service but doesn't work as effectively because they only reduce
UK calls by 32-54%. Their website can be found here...
http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html
If you simply wish to just purchase the CPR All-In-One Call Blocker from us, you can do so on any of our websites
for a ONE-OFF fee of £39.99.
www.cprcallblocker.com
www.cprdistribution.com
www.callpreventionregistry.co.uk
SO PLEASE READ THE WEBSITES PROPERLY SO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE REGISTERING WITH.
Hopefully this information will help you all to understand that we are not scammers and are simply trying to
provide you all with a 100% effective service. - alan| 1 replyIf you register with the telephone preference service they will phone you to sell you a free call blocker that will cost you a lot of money to register. I call it "sales". They are doing the same offensive calls that they are supposed to prevent for us. They should know better. A travesty.
- Caller: telephone preference service
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Nan replies to alanThat is absolute rubbish. TPS do not 'phone to sell call blocking units. These units are sold by private companies and most of their names appear on the warning list of the TPS website. I really don't know where you get your informaation from.
- David| 1 replyJust got a call from these idiots claiming I registered with them. NO!! I registered with TPR which is a free service. The girl on the phone was verging on the rude when I told her this. Then became condescending - "if you go on-line & look at our page it says that we charge. I can tell you how to do this if you like".
As I am ex-directory, I can only assume they got my number via my TPR registration.- Caller: CPR
