I had a call from a Ryan Anderson this morning claiming to be from a Well - being Centre asking all sorts of questions about my general health. He sounded very convincing about his medical knowledge but inevitably the conversation came round to trying to sell me some tablets which would work wonders for my ailment. He gave me a false address to try to convince me that he really was genuine. I refused to buy anything over the phone and hung up. I checked out the address he gave me and of course it was nothing to do with medical issues of any sort. Do not deal with these people! They are contacting elderly people hoping to confuse them and encourage them to buy useless tablets. I don't consider myself, at 66, to be elderly but can see how convincing these people can be. I hope I wasted lots of his valuable time listening to his nonsense because he got nothing out of me in return!! It's all a scam to get your money!!

I cannot believe this company is still operating. I have tried to find their web page but it doesn't exist. These people phoned my 80 year old mother up selling products. They started at ridiculously high prices and after over an hour on the phone and feeling totally exhausted she gave in to buying tablets. She contacted us the following day in tears fearing they had wiped out the little money she had in her bank account. She did have the tablets delivered, eventually, but this has caused her so much stress. They are contacting the elderly who are vulnerable and this should not be allowed.

There are several posts from "Opijini" on the previous page with company details of this scum, one even gfives the landline and mobile number of the MD. Perhaps you should ring him and tell him you want a refund.  In addition report them to Trading Standards.  As you say, these low lifes target the elderly, but as they are not in this country, apart from accommodation addresses, they seem to be untouchable.

My 84 year old mother was persuaded to buy £300 worth of rose hip tablets. long story but after threatening Forte Wellness with the police (and reporting them to Trading Standards) we got a refund. Best advice I can give - get the BT phones that block scam calls - we did, and it's been brilliant. We check mum's phone once a week and you can see a record of the numbers - then by using google you can find out where they came from. Her new phone has stopped all scams getting through - the phone doesn't even ring.

Had a long  overseas call today from a young lady called Melvi from this number offering Flexi Joint tablets for arthritis. Very plausible but at £35 for 60 tablets sounded too good  a story to be true.  Was not persuaded to take up the offer!!

Can't believe this scam's still operating. However it's good to know that the fraudsters aren't always being successful in misleading people. Selling vitamins & giving healthcare advice over the phone could have serious consequences.
Its reassuring to know that its being reported to warn elderly & vulnerable people.

Called by ?Alan Knight,  Asian sounding , from this same number.  Said address was 35, Furze Ave, New Southgate, London, n11 3ne.  Gave advice re arthritis management including recommending a rose hip syrup extract called Gopo.   After 15 mins  I stopped the call before any request for money was made.  Said he would try to call again.   Said surveying elderly people!  Had some knowledge of medical conditions.

Very plausible. ?? Genuine.    Would never buy anything from cold call anyway.

Malika - asian sounding female engaged my Mother for over 30 minutes implying she was from the local healthcare centre and discussing my Mother's ailments - namely her heart condition.  Malika's number 01916456000.  This conniving individual then tried her hard sell saying that pomegranate tablets would improve her heart - just two tablets a day and her heart would improve.  When my Mother asked if she could get them from Holland & Barrett, Malika confidently said no they wouldn't be as good as her tablets had the flesh of the pomegranate in them and H&B's didn't.  All she needed was the long card number and she would dispatch them asap.  My Mother who would never give her card details out said that she would only offer to send a postal order or cheque but before doing any of that would want to check the details with her GP in order to make sure they didn't conflict with any of her medication.  Malika wasn't happy but has said she's going to phone back.  I only wish I could see Malika in person - I feel sure that after 30 minutes of talking to her she would change her view on her all healing pomegranate tablets.  These rodents that prey on vulnerable people without a care for their health need stopping.   How do they get their number in the first place.  My Parents don't use the internet ever, don't have smartphones, email addresses or anything like that.  They even insist on queuing inside the bank at a till to get cash out.

Are your parents in the 'phone book or have they not opted out of the copy of the Electoral Roll which can be sold?  These are two ways of getting names and addresses which the scammers and con men can match up to telephone numbers.  It is also a sad fact that employees of some UK companies which use overseas Call Centres have stolen and sold on personal information of the companies customers.  Natura Healthcare  is one of a group of companies, including Sanda Wellbeing, Elbon Wellbeing and others which are based in Goa and Mumbai, India, with accommodation addresses in the UK.  The Directors of all these companies are interlinked, and the companies all sell the same sort of things.  Natura seems to cover the North East. If you look back a few pages for posts from "Opijini" there is lots of information. As you say, they prey on the elderly and vulnerable and pretend that they are offering their pills and potions at a "Special Rate" for pensioners.  Once they have the person's card number the £14.95 the said th stuff cost becomes £149.50.  They send six months supply all at once and remove the hugh sum of money from the account.  Some elderly people have lost thousands and felt ashamed to tell their families theybhave been conned.  There is a special place in H*ll reserved for this scum.

Sorry "Pamela" but you have posted the same message on the other numbers associated with Sanda Wellbeing, Elbon, and the others in this group of interlinked companies.  You also made the same mistake.  Satisfied customers do not look up the number of a company they are satisfied with on a website used from reporting unknown, unwanted and scam calls, nor do they use the sort of fractured English you are using.  There are too many posts on this and the numbers used by the other companies exposing this disgusting scam for your fake post to have any effect.  How you can work for a company which preys on elderly and vulnerable people defies belief.

My 88 year old confused mum has just told me she had a call from 01916 456000 today from a 'very polite Asian gentleman' saying he understood from her doctor that she needed some painkillers. As she'd had a small op last week, she was nearly hooked in as she thought her doctor had asked him to call her. He went on to say she would also benefit from rose hip capsules. The only reason she took his number and told me was because she couldn't quite understand him so she asked me to call him back for her. I immediately Googled the number as I was suspicious and thank goodness found this site. My mum is convinced he said her doctor's name, which is why she believed him, but she might either have just assumed this as she gets a bit confused, or perhaps they made a lucky guess linking her address to the practice's catchment area? Very disturbing if they did. I am going to report it to her practice tomorrow in case they want to warn other patients. Anything else I should do?

Totally agree with the post replying to Pamela.
How ridiculous is this scam getting, goodness knows what's in the pomegranate pills.
I can't believe the fraudsters are still getting away with it. A visit to go to your local Doctor & Pharmacy to get HONEST SAFE health advice is all that's needed to prevent criminal's trying to hook you into cold calls.
All NATURA HEALTHCARE really cares about is taking money from vulnerable people.
How gullible do they think we are, eg Pamela.

an employee with one of these firms

First of all plz dont get at me in wild haste. I can imagine how freaked out some people are on this forum. I was in search of  a job for quite sometime and found one here. I have been researching right from the start about the nature of my job. First the wrong things that bothered me.
    - I am dealing with elderly people whose judgement may not be precise - Answer - they do their own shopping and are quite in better shape by Asian standards for that age.

    - The most commonly sold supplements - Rosehips and Pome - are they really effective for arithritis and for heart health respectively ? - Answer - My online research convinced me that they do have benefits as natural remedies in those areas and have helped some a great deal but they are not always convincing up to my expectations.

    - About pseudonims and address - We use pseudonyms for convenience and give our real names or atleast inform that it is not our real name when asked. About address we clearly state that we are calling from India when asked or sometimes even upfrontly in the process of rapport building.

    - About medical expertise - We state that we are not doctors when questioned.

    - To the best of my memory , I have never lied to a customer in the process of selling him or her

    - The reason we ask whether they have dementia or alzheimers is to infact avoid selling it to such people.

    - Some people use lines of discount selling to hurry the customer into buying but as far as I could research the prices are on par with the market prices generally

    - I am not a part of natura for sure but some other firm and i am convinced about my firm that right from the top to the lower level the team is very transparent , prices are clearly quoted and ensured that the goods reach the customers in time and we never take anything from the customers account earlier or later without their prior consent.

    - I may not stick out with this job for long though i am very much in need of one but i can assure myself that i have not done anything wrong during my stay in this industry

    - I have interacted with these elderly people and I did feel it strongly that UK culture does need a shift. These elderly people need attendance care and warmth more than freedom as younger generation thinks and some of them are leading a very tuff life. At times they are longing to just speak with someone. Infact I have heard of cases where customers bought stuff not because they needed it but because they felt better chatting with the agent.

Quit the flannel  and false sympathy.  The disgusting company you work for preys on the elderly and steals their money.  You pretend to be health care professionals but you have no knowlege of their ailments or of their current medication.  You neither know nor care that they may be confused or that your quack remedies may react badly with their medication.  You lie about the cost of your rubbish telling them that you are offering a special rate of say, £14.95 and taking £149.50 from their account. You know you can get away with your con tricks because you are based in Mumbai and Goa along with the rest of your group. You use fake UK numbers for each part of the country that you target and your agents do not even know which part of the country they are targetting, i.e. they do not know that 0191 is not a London code.  Instead of professing concern for the elderly people you are fleecing ask yourself how you would like your own parents or grandparents to have their money and their faith in human nature stolen from them by a smooth talker like yourself.

Jeeves, you appear to speak with some feeling about this outfit and rightly so. I rescued my own ancient, dementia-suffering mother from the gaping jaws of these snake oil salesmen just over a year ago. As you rightly say, these conscience-free wretches make sure they operate well away from our shores, thus protecting themselves from the truckload of writs that would descend on them were they to be a legitimate, UK-based company. If I could see my way to getting my hands on these scapegraces, I assure you that things would not go well for them.

You are a fool if you  believe a single word of what you have typed. Ask yourself the question - would you like these calls going to your mother or grandmother? No....I thought not. Your last paragraph is not just wholly patronising but rather revealing too - "At times they are longing to just speak with someone. Infact I have heard of cases where customers bought stuff not because they needed it but because they felt better chatting with the agent." I'll deduct from that breath-taking statement that you target the lonely as well as the old and confused? Is part of your sales pitch to befriend the client, before you trick them into receiving a years worth of overpriced supplements that show no health benefit whatsoever?  You might like to think you've done your research on this industry so that you can walk away from your job conscience-free, but there are many more that have also done their research and they KNOW what your type of company is all about. How can you sleep at night? Not only are you a parasite and a liar, but you make a living from deceiving and hurting elderly people and their families. You will never achieve moksha by what you are doing. Please do not try and insult us by saying "elderly people...do their own shopping" as there is quite some difference between an elderly person going into a shop/online and choosing their own groceries to being harassed repeatedly and coerced by dubious salespeople who use underhand tactics and lies in order to scam their victim. Your experience of working for this company is not just a blip on your work resume, it is a dark and nasty stain on your life and you will forever be judged by your despicable actions. Shame on you!
