01-9833-9100
Report a phone call from 01-9833-9100 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- SandraI have been receiving this call. I rang Telstra this morning.
They know of this number, their advice was not to answer it.
If you have ID on your phone make sure you use it. - IreneCall and says I have a text message
- Caller: dont know
- SandraSeveral calls received for over an hour then every 45 minutes for the next 9-10 hours.
Phone rings once then the number 0198339100 appears...and we don't have caller ID so that even makes it weirder. Over the last 2 days we have had 1 call in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.
We are about to contact Telstra AGAIN. - xnavyman replies to melissai listened to 0198339999 I found out that you can have it turned off by ringing helstra on 132203. If someone accidently sends a text to your home number & you do not retreive it, then it will continue to try and deliver the message for 7 days. It also said that it will not ring between the hours of midnight and 8am.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
xnavyman - Annie KruegerAsking about accommodation and very rude then hung up. Male voice.
- Caller: Telstra
- SANDRA GREENSHIELDSSandra received 8 or 9 messages from 0198339100 - theses appeared to be some sort of text messages
- TankYeah, as ScottietoHottie says,
if your home phone can't show text messages sent from a mobile phone,
the text message gets changed to a computerised voice message from this number,
like the voice to text message being offered recently on mobiles,
execept this is text message to voice!- Caller: telstra
- Katrina| 1 replyGetting stop calls from this number. Rings once, then hangs up. I managed to pick up once, and they instantly hung up the phone.
- Call type: Prank
- Lizzie replies to KatrinaI just got one too but with "nerd" being the only comment.
- GregThis is a "talking text" service provided when someone attempts to send a SMS to a landline number - and the SMS will be read out over the phone. As this is a computer-based system it will continue to attempt to send the SMS until such time as it is listened to in full.
This is a valid service and not a prank call / telemarketing- Call type: Text message
- Bellavoice to text message and was unable to understand one word message
engaged when you try and call back
Sick to death of these time wasters
Considering canceling land line all together- Caller: ?

Considering canceling land line all together - Steve0198 339 100 Same deal - unsolicited garbage messages that I do not wish to receive - coming in every 10 minutes. If I wanted to receive text messages then I would use my MOBILE - unless I subscribe to this rubbish then I should NOT be bothered by it. What it should do instead is send an SMS back to the sender telling them they sent it to a land line - and END IT THERE!!!!
- Caller: Not sure
- tuppenceHave been getting calls from this number in the past couple of days.
It rings once then stops. - DeeI have been recieving calls for the past week from this number 0198339100 if I call back from my home number it doesnt ring when I call from my mobiles it says " Optus wish to advise this number is disconnected"
- Connie K| 1 replyThis number 0198339100 keeps calling me today? What is going on?? It has called like 15 times in the past half hour? It was somebody telling me i had a voice text msg?
- Call type: Text message
- ThinkAboutIt replies to Connie KWould you like a call-blocker? See my post on whocallsme for (305) 918-2338 for information on how to get one. Mine was free, and works great. I was able to get rid of all of my annoying callers.
Also, contact your service provider and have them block 3rd party/premium-rate SMS and international calls (if you don't use that feature), and check your bill for unauthorized charges. This company is charging $0.25 for each call. Premium-rate SMS scams send unwanted texts back-to-back, either running your bill into the stratosphere, or stealing your pay-as-you-go credit. The international calls/premium texts are used by Nigerian 419 scammers to rob you even if you chose not to participate. As proof, look up Nigerian 419 Scam on Google, and read the Wikipedia article. There have been a lot of complaints about all of these on whocallsme, and I wanted you not to be the next victim.
Peace and quiet to you. I hope that helped. - Little MacCalls from 0198339100 are DEFINITELY NOT talking text message service to landline - just spent the last 20 minutes plus talking to Telstra operator and they do not have that service. Best advice is DO NOT ANSWER or ATTEMPT TO RETURN CALL from this number.
