I did call my network operator, called regulatory no 0800500212, and called erricson IPX also veryone says same thing that you would have downloded some thing from. I called this nextcard number also voice message saying some @gmail account to e-mail.

very strange and there is no control over this type of frauds.

i just got a txt from this company and called vodafone straight away. They checked my bill and discovered I had been charged £5 . Luckily vodafone removed the charge straight from my account. I have also txt the word STOP to ensure this doesn't happen again.

I have been waiting on the phone now for 20 minutes waiting for O2 to answer.  I TOO HAVE RECIEVED THIS MESSAGE AND HAVE HAD £4 DEDUCTED FROM MY PAYG CREDIT.  I PHONED THE NUMBER AND GOT A COMPUTERISED VOICE TELLING ME TO GO TO A WEBSITE. DO NOT GOT TO THIS WEBSITE AS YOU WILL END UP WITH A VIRUS AND THEN THEY WILL ALSO HACK INTO YOUR ACCOUNT.  I do not hold out much hope of getting my money back, but I want to know how the hell they got my number in the first place.  I have not replied to any texts with CD in it for a start, as some others have.  There should be something that can be done about this, and if they have got my number then surely they should be able to be traced.

hi, just tried calling o2 customer services no replay says busier than usual, wonder why ? lol :) Service providers shud be responsible for refunds, how the hell do ppl get r mobile no.s to do this.

Just gpt the same message on Orange.  Can't get through on orange as busy - guess there must be lots pf people with the same problem !

Just received a txt saying due to technical problems my purchase of 11/09 has not been charged. I think the £4 may have been taken even though I did not reply.
If I txt STOP to the number will I get another £4 taken.

I've been raking my brain for this "cd" reference & as previously mentioned Microsoft MSN etc. I think I recall
Downloading something from microsoft requiring payment of £4 via my mobile to get it. (Txt  cd to this number 60440 they give you a ref to put on the site to continue downloading a programme.) It maybe a scam still.
I don't know.

Just emailled Watchdog on watchdog@bbc.co.uk, gave them the details including that Orange wont be paying back. Maybe everyone could email them as well? may get somewhere. who knows.

Iain, No you just get charged normal txt price. I sent STOP message, just in case and was only charged for the txt. Reading all the messages you get a feel for the problem.

I will call watchdog with my info about O2 it's tres frustrating and I WILL be cancelling my contract - it is a monthly rolling contract so wo't take long!!  Idiots.

i got the same txt message. foned 0800 500 212 and was told that the reason for me getting charged was because i had downloaded software from these people. this is the first i have known of this. has anybody supposedly downloaded any software from these people???

I just had the same text.  I called the 0800500212 regulatory number and they are investigating.  They say they have had a lot of calls today about this.

I have received the same message, and called voda, I have been charged, been told to call ericcson ipx, just wondering if I entered a competion back then, 01483305530 is the number vodafone gave me to call, but its too late in the day

I got this as well. Contacted 3 and they refunded the £4.00 and told me to txt STOP and gave me the phone number for IPX 01483305530. They wont like it when I get hold of them

Had the same txt on T-Mobile.Looks like I got charged £8 cos I called the number twice. Called T-Mobile customer services who said they have credited my account with £10 to erase the charge. They also put a filter on my number stopping third parties from contacting me. They say it's not 100% effective,but if I get any more problems, to just phone them. I was also told to txt STOP to the number. T-Mobile were very helpfull.

I got this text too, I contacted T Mobile who were very helpful and are looking into it and will call me back tomorrow with their results. I dont appear to have been charged yet but I haven't called the number!!

I have received this message just now from the message number 60440, A dodge message says I should go to a website and put my mobile number there to find out more about my debts , how can I have to put my mobile number there if they send a text message on my mobile in the first place, The message says  they would charge me £4 from Nextcard which I dont have one,Definetelly a SCAM, STRAIGHT after yesterday that I have just found OUt I was beeing charged £29 on my O2 Bill from a Interactive text message that I never signed up for in the firt place and cancelled it, from numbers 888 88 and 808 76, here they are trying to get me Again!!!
