I have just taken one of these Text messages.... again on Orange but on contract... i dont see how these guys can get away with it.... Will be contacting Orange right now....

My disabled son who is not able to use a computer, can not read or write has just had one of these texts definately a scam!!!! I ring him on his phone to teach him how to speak on a phone. He has no concept of sending texts yet he is supposed to have sent one stating cd?

had the same yesterday have phoned phone pay plus on 0800 500212 who are trying to log as many of these as poss. this is a scam no doubt about it. you all need to ring your provider and get your money back have phoned vodaphone and they have given me my £4 back.

Just had the same text and it looks like they ripped £4 of my PayG account

I just received the 'you have been billed 4GBP' and contacted 0800 500 212 option 2, and gave them the information I had and they said the company is known and is being looked into, so 'phone them and add your complaint, as the more they get the quicker they will move on stopping it

I have spoken to the regulator 0800500212 and filled out a complain form at:

I have contacted the Police to get a crime ref No.

I have contacted my provider 02 (Useless !) Changed provider !

I have emailed the Mail newspaper(Tony Hetherington)  
editor@thisismoney.co.uk to highlight the scam

I am not going to top up any phone until I have a explaination and refund.

£4 today... who knows next time. If we all do the same we can stop this happening to all of us again Tomorrow.

Had the same message 30 minutes ago, I did not respond to it. Rang O2 (202 from my mobile)- my account has not been debited. At my request, O2 have put a bar on all premium calls and suggested I report the scam to 0800500212 by landline.

Just called orage... they tell me that I text the letters "CD" to this number from my handset on the 26/12/09 at 21:26...?? I do not recall doing this but they tell me was the case.... i dont know where to go now,any idea's, also I dont recall getting any download and if it failed (if i did) why am I being charged for a failure...>>?>>

Spoke to Erikson who say that I texted a code to allow a download way back in Nov 2009 they gave me a number to call next but it doesn't work going to email them for a full explanation support.uk@nextcard.us

I got this txt today, called O2 and they've put a block on all Permian numbers for me. They also said to call 01483305530 but from what others say it's pretty pointless don't think is alot we can do about being charged. Just can't beleive they can do this it's stealing I hope they get caught soon

rang loads of numbers no response no help from vodafone either im furious?????

Had a similar text message from '60440' saying an purchase had not been charged and Nextcard were making the charge of £4. I phoned Virgin Mobile and was advised to text the reply 'STOP'.  At this point I don't know if I have actually been charged this £4.

I received the same message this morning.  I have called Erricsson ipx who are the company that directs the calls.  Their number is 01483 305530.  they give you a number to call. 02071939823.  It doesn't exist.  You have to insist that it is a dead end before they listen to you.  You should report the problem to Phonepay+ who are investigating this company.  Their number is 08005002122. They are very sympathetic, but can't do much at the moment, except take your details as evidence.  The only way to stop future messages from this company is to have Ericcsson ips blacklist your number, which means that no won't receive any paid for txt messages that come through them.

this text happens because your phone has text 60059 with the word CD. (check your sent text on your phone for this)
now if you use shear download sites ie rapid, megaupload ect.. you may also come across a share site that needs you to type in a code for you start your download. i dont know the name of the share site that dose this, (couls be called nextcard or nextshare maybe), but this is the cause of the charge.
never type personal details online unless they are a registered and trusted company.
