this text happens because your phone has text 60059 with the word CD. (check your sent text on your phone for this)
now if you use shear download sites ie rapid, megaupload ect.. you may also come across a share site that needs you to type in a code for you start your download. i dont know the name of the share site that dose this, (couls be called nextcard or nextshare maybe), but this is the cause of the charge.
never type personal details online unless they are a registered and trusted company.

Just called Orange and they told me that I had been charged £4. I was a little surprised as I had not done anything other than read the message! Orange assured me that when my bill becomes active, I can call them and get the charge refunded.

Just had the same i am on Virgin PAYG

got the same message,rang my provider in protest,(o2)and they are prepaired to do jack [***] about it. thanks for nothing o2! if it wasnt for these comments on this page i would still be panicing. someone said virgin had refunded there money,even though they knew nothing about it. well,im moving to virgin and would advise all else to also.

How is it possible for someone to "help themselves" to my money on O2 without my permission?
Will O2 now refund this money?
If this was a bank or credit card we could seek recompense!

Just spoke to O2. They are now recommending that you DO NOT test STOP to the nummer

well I emailed nextcard support who kindly informed me that it was for cd burner software from a web site that doesn't exist

i had the same text from nextcard ltd phoned my network o2 they said they knew all about them and there scam . o2 gave me a 4 pound credit on my account to cover the charge o2 also told me that you can only be charged for one text from nextcard ltd they cant keep texting you . if you phone nextcard ltd back on the number 02032863990  it is charged at normal landline rate . people that do this are scum and need to get a job .the number to report this is 0800500212 or for landlines rates its 02079407474 report it now

I recieved the same message and telephone 0800 500212 option 2 the regulatory body and they informed me that it was due to me being late billed for a winrar software that I had downloaded to my computer recently so check that you haven't downloaded this software recently too. I feel better now.

Contacted 02 - They are pathethic ... no help whatsoever...

If 02 cannot protected their customers they do not deserve customers

Mobile scams are the new Banking crisis ....maybe 100,000 scammed in this one and the providers do NOTHING!!!!!!!

Have had the same message as everyone  above , but have never downloaded anything. and have never had txts or texted to 60059.
Can we do something about it? , have emailed 02 as i got no where when i phoned them up.
i am waiting for a reply now.
someone, somewhere is getting rich off this and surely someone can trace them, it is daylight robbery. not too mention very scary.

I am receiving text messages from Text CArd Ltd and they are deducting monies from my account on the phone.  £4 a go and I have received 7 text messages.  Can you help stop this.

Call your phone provider and make the bar/block any 3rd party/5 digit numbers from sending messages to your phone.
thats all you can do that will stop this happening in the future

I received the same text. I have called Virgin who have advised me to text baack "STOP ALL". They say they will look into it and get back if there is anything they can do but my account has already been debitted with the £4.00. Would that we could get our hands on these scum.

had all the above happen to me, operator on 02 told me she hadnt heard nothing about this scam when i rang, she sounded quite suprised. i wouldnt be suprised if mobile phone companies were not in this scam, coz from all these complaints before me, i now realise she must be a lying [***] as well

Same.....Same !!!!! been reading all the previous posts.  Tried ringing O2..USELESS.  Forwarded the msg to 7726 (spam reporter).  Now going on web sites to lodge complaint.... May I suggest you ALL do the same..... Good Luck
