- Narna| 2 repliesGot a phone call from this number today, a lady asked me to confirm my name, which I did, then she hung up. I don't know who she was or what company it was but am worried how she got my surname. hope it's not a scam.
- Caller: unknown
- DebbyWhy do these people bother? I don't answer calls when I don't know the number. Waste of their time. Wish they would stop though.
- phoenixBeen getting calls from this number for a week now and really getting pissed off when i answer and all i hear is background noise. Why don't our government do something about these cold callers and people using our numbers they trace because we have had to use them on the internet to do shopping and so forth. Its about time this stopped and the people of this country who have to suffer these arsoles put thier heads together and protested to the prime minister to get the phone companies and internet companies from handing on our numbers. Its an invasion of our privacy and after all the [***] in westminster make the bloody rules and laws to stop this crap.
Get on and do your jobs you so called rullers. They wouldn't get them because they have thier phones on secret numbers. - concerned| 1 replyhad a call from this number, a woman claiming to be from first call, asking if I had been sold PPI with my credit card. I said I wasn't willing to discuss it but she asked leading questions, saying she had my information and asked me to confirm the bank, that I had paid off the balance and that my credit limit was over £1000.00. Then she asked my date of birth and told me someone will ring back in the next few days then ended the call.
I googled 'First Call' and spotted this website. I dialled 1471 to find 02070603887 was the number that had called me.
I called back and heard a recorded message, that the number was not currently in use but was for sale, and there was another number to ring if I wanted to buy it.
Although I hadn't given detailed information I felt uneasy enough to call my card provider and put a block on my card.- Caller: 'First call'
- Isabel| 1 replyPerson with this number as their caller ID rang me today, asked "can I speak to SURNAME?". I said speaking and they rang off.
Rude and abrupt and probably extremely worrying to people who feel vulnerable. I long for the day when some authority or other can track them down and punish them. - japitpol| 2 repliesI think JOHN J GASKIN of square mile Dakota group and Elite Broker is behind this please contact the FSA or the city of london police.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- SICK TO DEATH| 1 replyI have had numerous calls over the past 6 months from this number, all claiming to be First something or other. At first I politely told them to get my name off their data as I was on the TPS register and ex-directory. After being plagued every other day for a week got stoppy with them and then when it continued got downright rude. They stopped for about 3 weeks then started again, somehow they also have got hold of another number for me which is not registered anywhere and is given out to very few people and never used for a contact number when filling in forms.
Several calls to both phones one after the other was enough for me to see red and blew a gasket threatening legal action - person at the other end said 'You will be lucky as you will never be able to trace us so you can just F*** Off' The calls stopped for awhile but have started again this morning. I have now reported them to the FSA who they should be registered with if working on PPI claims but without an address they will not do anything about it so if anyone does manage to get any info on them post it here so others can complain to the FSA- Caller: First ???
- Susie| 2 repliesA foreign voice said they were phoning from First Bank to say I might be entitled to a refund - suspecting a scam, I asked if they would wait a minute and laid the phone down (still an open line, and on their charge) After about 5 mins, I heard they'd rung off, so I did too
- Caller: First Bank
- ???How was it i dont ow he sound like
