Fraud is fraud, why some people are going to prison for this

Totally agree taking money from people for wine that does not exist must be a crime.  As someone pointed out Staffordshire Police are investigating a similar type of scheme why should other police forces not investigate if London won't.  Looks like these guys have cheated hundreds of people out of a lot of money.  It should be treated as a crime and those responsible jailed.

Is this a serious comment ? How can u compare pensioners savings to buying a Rolex watch ( please refere back to micheal post about his father ) . Investors were sold on the promise of a secure investment u buy a Rolex from a shop and expect the jeweler to make a profit , u invest your money and don't expect it to half in value in 24hrs even 9/11 stock market investors were not hit that hard . Also berry brothers have a mark up of between 4-7 percent not 70-80 percent how can bfw be worth that much if they don't make there clients money ?

But you could also argue look at the investment banks and all the employees coming out and releasing statements admitting that they are all knowingly putting clients into investments where they will lose money.

Bfw no investment bank set up for 1 reason only fraud not clients interests .Was started up in 2008 with a group of salesman who cold called from gundlachs living room off mobile phones on the promise they would be made rich ! Gundlach kept his promise and 2 of the main guys earned near 1 million mark salaries they have own company's that branch of bfws  investors hence bfw zero employees all will be confirmed in court .

These scumbags didn't EARN anything. They STOLE from pensioners amongst others. This kind of behaviour cannot be justified under ANY circumstances. This garbage deserve to be locked up for a very long time. They are parasites. Nothing more, nothing less. Scum.

I agree . Just pointing out that the commissions were millions which got paid into private firms owned by each broker that's how bfw achieved a £19 million turn over by having salesman gaining commissions of upto 200k in a month ! Unbelievable but true .

I have read a lot of the posts on this blog and the senior folk who lost their money I feel is really bad but the younger generation who no about the internet ,! where you can find out so much about all company's GREED springs to mind on both sides .there is no such thing as a easy pound note hopefully you have learnt a lesson . Sorry no sympathy

Lurker- you are mistaken about everyone working there knew!!! They most certainly did not!!! I worked there for 5 years and were continuously told that we do things the right way!! There is no point in scamming people
We will be shut down. I am furious that you can say everyone did know!! I am angry that we were not made aware of what we were doing because if I had known I would have left!!! Also how could we have when we got family to invest??? This is an awful situation and I feel awful about the money that has been taken from many investors. I really thought I was helping people make more money for their futures. Naming people on here is a pointless and quite childish thing to do.

0203 668 2020   is the number for elite asset exchange,  seems to be a carbon  credit investment but were asking a lot of questions about my wine..brouchere says there at 330 high Holborn london but this turns out to be a mail drop and office rental by the hour.

12 percent broker commission on almost 20 million is 2.4 million in 1 year .Only a small team of top guys shared it . Gundlach had the other 4.7 million the accounts will prove this .
