- Anon| 5 repliesI have been a client of Bordeaux Fine Wine for almost three years now. Throughout this period I have been told the value have been constantly growing and doing very well. I spent the best part of £30,000 on wines and am ensured by my 'broker' that it's worth around £45,000 now.. Over the last few months I have been in touch with two other firms who have separately valued my portfolio between £18,000 and £20,000 and suggest that Bordeaux Fine Wines charged me over 30% too much in the first place!
I don't really know what's going on, but if I ask them to sell my wines, I only get excuses and delaying tactics. Also having just read all of the messages here I'm quite concerned about who these people really are!- Caller: Bordeaux Fine Wines
- Anon replies to Alan CrichtonSo you're quite clearly a broker there (or even the Director himself?)... That couldn't have been more fake it you tried..!
- Anon replies to Anon| 4 repliesSorry to hear that anon, do you have the wine in your own account? as it seems the post above yours may be true, and they will not be trading much longer,
- G.s replies to AnonMust have read your post Anon, twitter page now locked.
Talk of shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted, pardon the pun. - Anon replies to Anon| 3 repliesI'm told that the wines are in my name, how do I check?
- Anon replies to Anon| 1 replyHave you had account details from London city bond? otherwise they may have them in their umbrella account which means the wine is not in your name, and the wine in their umbrella account is not allocated with the warehouse for anybody other than bfw, as I have spoke to London city bond to try and locate my fathers wine.
- anon replies to Anon
- Anon replies to AnonContact London City Bond and ask if there is an account in your name either in it's own right or a sub account under BFW's umbrella. Then ask what wine is allocated to your account. If the answer is none then you should worry.
Completely ignore what the brokers at BFW tell you regarding where your wine is or what its worth. Most of them are just recent college leavers and haven't drunk a glass of bordeaux, let alone how much a specific vintage is worth. They will not allow you to sell it and therefore it is essentially worthless. The money invested is in the main used to pay exorbatant broker commissions and huge dividends to Mr Gundlach.
BFW do not have contacts in Asia or anywhere else. They are based in Croydon and are usually found having lunch in the Slug and Lettuce or visiting the racey strip club, all paid for by investors money.
As I said earlier, the company will shortly be facing an application to cease it trading so apply as much pressure as possible to have your wine stock released. - Les replies to Anon| 2 repliesHas anyone had any success in actually speaking to any of the brokers in the last few weeks? or even managing to sell their wine

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/experts/arti ... larm-bells.html - Anon.| 11 repliesHaving quizzed Bordeaux Fine Wines on lots of claims made in this thread, they pass it off as nothing and say that another company is mimicking them and there is nothing to worry about...
If a company is mimicking yours, trading under the same name, copying your accounts on Companies House etc - there is something huge to worry about. Either that, or it the laziest lie and it's been them all along... which is more likely?
How can they get away with calling themselves "primarily wholesalers"? Surely that's like Waitrose one day deciding to become a cash-and-carry? Bad comparison, becuase BFW were never like Waitrose - they are widely known con-men and their 'wholesale' wines are more expensive then anywhere else on the market!
On their homepage:
Pol Roger 2002 for £577 "Classic Pol character". What Character is Pol? Do they even realise Pol is a first name, not a region or grape variety? 8 reputable merchants offer this champagne for less than £500 per 12 bottles.
Coutet 1997 for £385. Available from Fine & Rare Wines for £324.
Latour A Pomerol 2006 for £495. "Bordeaux Blend Dry Red Table wine". They clearly have no idea what table wine is, EU wine regulation classes 'table wine' as the lowest classification available in a country (eg supermarket, own brand wines for £3.95 a bottle, not £40!). Available from Justerini & Brooks, Corney & Barrow, Fine & Rare Wines or Bordeaux Index (four of the best) for £450 or less.
Ch Magdelaine 2000 for £874.5. Available from Justerini & Brooks, Corney & Barrow and Goedhuis & Co. for £700 per 12.
Those are the four 'featured wines' on their home page, I dread to think what lies beneath if these are the ones they showcase!- Caller: Bordeaux Fine Wines
- anon replies to Anon.Where are the writ's to the Daily Mirror and Daily Mail then ?, most of this info originates from them.
Think I would be worried if that's their excuse.
Simple searches verify majority of info on here is true, and that's all you need. - Anon replies to Anon.| 9 repliesThe time has come for BFW, as was previously predicted. Trading will cease and post Christmas you will not be able to contact them. Any investors with them will shortly be creditors and you will have to lodge your claim with the liquidator.
I tried and tried to warn you all. I hope Gundlach and his kronies get whats coming to them. - Anon replies to Anon| 6 repliesThe court lists state that an application was made by the secretary of state for business innovation and skills was made on the 19/12/2013. some people are not going to be having a very merry xmas.
