I have been called by this number by a lady pretending to be calling from my hometown as they were having a health awareness day. This lady was very polite but asked me lots of questions about my health and because I said no to her list of endless symptoms she then asked what I did for a living or how I kept myself in such good health. After a while of humouring her I told her I had to leave and she then tried to get me to buy some biotin tablets as that would enhance my health. gave me a website address to check them out and a phone number.
I find it incredible that such tactics are used. She obviously knew my address and full name and probably also my age group. She also told me she was calling from Buckingham at the end of her call.???her number is listed as coming from India. Beware!

The caller identified herself as 'Grace' and gave her company as The Wellness Centre in London.
When I asked for her number she said it was 020 7186 2249.
I then checked using BT's 1471 "Last Number Dialled" facility and found Grace had given me a wrong number by changing the last digit.
The actual number from which she called was 020 7186 2246.
This is the second time in 2 weeks I have been telephoned by The Wellness Centre even though I am registered with both the TPS and the Call Prevention Registry.
I telephoned TPS.  The Wellness Centre has already been made known to them and they are sending me a complaint form.
Let's hope they can stop these people sooner rather than later.

Bogus NHS Credit Cards Calls: Just Hang Up

    April 30, 2010 1:57 PM

Kent Trading Standards have received reports of bogus callers telephoning consumers pretending to be from a local GP surgery.

The caller gives the impression they are from the NHS and asks what medication the consumer is taking. In one incident the caller persuaded the consumer they would benefit from taking Pomegranate tablets, they took credit card details and debited £179.50 from the account.

A victim's son traced the call back to a company based in India. No NHS health professional would ever ask for a patient's credit card details over the phone.

Kent Trading Standards are warning consumers to be very wary of anyone cold calling and requesting credit or debit card details. If you are in any doubt at all end the call. In your home, on your phone, you are in control - hang up.

Please contact Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 or go to www.consumerdirect.gov.uk if you need further advice on your consumer rights, or you want to report any businesses or incidents you have concerns about.

My Brother was called by this company Sanda Wellness who gave him the impression that were calling from a health dept, he like many other people gave them deatils about his health condition After an hours long bashing on the phone he gave them card details which resulted in him paying £399.99p for nothing more than a few suplements.
    .
On putting down the phone he realised what he had done and called his bank within minutes the money was with visa and on its way to this company Sanda Wellness Or Sanda Wellbeing.
Thank goodness he had the sense to contact me and we arranged for a registered letter to be sent the next day to the company cancelling the order as set out in the Consumer protection act 7 day cooling off period for tele sales/phone sale ( distance selling regulations )

The order was cancelled as requested and his money was returned to his account by Visa.

If you have committed to such purchase and change your mind you to can cancel the order within 7 days , Tell your relatives or even neighbours so that they can help you, do not be afraid to mention it , we have all been had at some time and you are not alone .

When my brother went to warn his 86 year old neighbour about this he himself had spent £999.99  with the same company.some months back but had not confided in his family or anybody else.
For your information the calls are coming from India the so called doctors who are convincing you that you need these supplements may even be bogus as they to are in India. certainly the names used by the girls initally contacting you are bogus , they knowing well that we cannot even repeat them let alone spell them

Please notify CAB Citizens Advise Bureau (020- 81850710) of your experience, they are fully informed about our experience. also warn any other persons whio you feel my be vulnerable to this type of telphone marketing

If you are using this comapny to provide suplements and you are happy with the service and product then there is not reason why you should be alarmed, But I would compare the price you are paying against say Boots chemists who also sell suplements.

If you are registered with the TPS then contact Information communications office 03031231113 and report the call.

Registered letters cancelling an order should be sent as soon as possible to arrive within the 7 day cooling off period to:- CEO, Sandal Well-being, Earlier Health Farm, BurLeigh House
    BurLeigh Lane, Crawley-Down West Sussex, RH10 4LF

I am also informed by the company that they also have a 30 day money back guarantee on all orders, so act fast if you change you mind about the orders placed with this company and use the post office signed for service for any items returned.

You can also your cancel your order by e-mailing:-  complaints@sandawellbeing.com
for the attention of Mr M Kitt Senior complaints officer
But I would still send the registered letter asap.

Thank you for your information.  This disgusting company preys on elderly and vulnerable people.  They neither know, nor care, whether their rubbish will react with existing medication.  They just want to steal money.  As well as CAB they should be reported to Action Fraud and Trading Standards as others have already done.  Only if everyone contacted by them does this will they finally be shut down.

Yes I have informed my police  (Sussex) and have contacted the hospital at both my brother and his neighbour are being treated as well as my own Doctors practice so that the nurses etc can convey the message to vulnerable patients .West Sussex Trading standards have also been informed by both CAB and myself

As I understand it they are not breaking the law by selling over the phone , it is the way they are going about it , pressurising over a long phone call convincing the person that they need to take suplements and then charging the earth.
They are breaking the law by calling numbers on the TPS register .However there appears to be a loop hole there as well as these calls are coming from India and and may not be covered by the TPS list
only by talking about this to all who will listen will this nut be cracked , The more people that know the better do you bit and spread the word.
    Thanks

Looks like this scum have got another new number -  02086190747,  Note the similarity. Interestingly the person who posted said the call showed up on his 'phone as international, which backs up what a lot of us are thinking. They introduced themselves as a "Wellness Centre" so I have asked if he has any more info.  There has got to be a way of stopping them before they cause the death of an elderly person.  In our area, North West. I have checked that there are warnings in the GPs surgeries and Health Centres.
