Well, I was invited for a second interview. Tell told me about the company and some of the names they represent. I have also owned my own business for 6 years now, they told me i'd be self employed which from my experience of owning my own company seems correct people who are self-employed get paid based on work done not salary. I was very concerned about this company being a scam so i investigated the clients they had talk-talk, opel etc apparently the companies have asked this marketing company to represent them ! oh and talk talk know of the scam publishing but said every company has some form of bad publishing. apparently they are also all registered under council of commerce and are real companies. The only problem is that it's not realised that it's a self-employed position being offered. I have another interview soon i'm curious whether I should attend .

Do whatever u want. Obviously they are not illegal because they've been working for ages, what it should be illegal is the fact they never say on the adverts it's door to door and 100% commission. So they mislead people because that's what they want. They want u to go without knowing anything to sell you what they do the way they want. I know people that worked there and got depression afterwards for the treatment they get from the "managers" which are not such, they are just owners, with no skills managing people, just know about money motivation which is not even real since it's commission, it's a just a promise of a better future, which also, it's not such since owners like tom harris LIve marketing direct/ea worldwide acquisitions didn't even hit the criteria to get to management. Josh COte owner of EA worldwide got him promoted cos he needed to keep growing. So basically if the owner likes you, they'll give you interviews that are more likely to start so you'll have at least a chance to try finishing the program.
If they were honest when advertising what they do, that would be a different story, but in that case, probably they wouldn't get 1000cvs a week, they'd get just 10.

I canceled my interview for today, the company, London Marketing services sent me an e-mail last week saying that I was "selected" for a preliminary interview. I've never been "selected" for anything else except for "contests" and "games" so with this terminology in an e-mail to advise me about a job interview, the red flags went flying!

Someone called Liza whose accent I cannot place arranged my interview, 2:PM and bring a CV along. When I advised her that I was still employed, she mentioned that they needed someone who could start immediately, but they could work around my leaving my present job, I still hadn't met any of them.

The website is vague, and these stories about a company called London Marketing services is too numerous to ignore and under the circumstances, GO WITH YOUR INSTINCT!

If anyone else comes across a "Liza" or "Paul Green" please do share your experience, we should keep this information up to date in order to stay one step ahead of these persons.

I had an interview today at LONDON MARKETING SERVICES with a guy named Sam (i think). After a minute of the very unprofessional and uninformal interview, I had this instict, something's not right with them... whatevs, I was selected for a second round tomorrow. I stayed to have an other interview with ea worldwide. it was kinda weird, that different companies int he same buliding, with the same receptionists, I mean should there be like a competition or something?  Thank godness I looked up on google if this was a scam... apparently I have to continue my very tireing job seeking... I mean isn't it just mean to trick graduates like this? don't we have enough to worry about?... peace and beter luck next time to everybody

I had my interview for EA worldwide on Wednesday, I also had my interview for Aspire on Wednesday, which I've just been told are the same companies who also are the same as London Marketing Group.
I got through and started my job today.
I was told nothing of the fact it was pay by commission only, no basic pay or the fact I was 'self employed'
I have spent so much money on travel these past few days, I worked from 12pm until 11pm yesterday, after being told I would only be working until 8pm, and this was my observation day!
I really wish I had known they were scams before I took the job because now I have to quit.
The people all seemed so lovely and I'm so annoyed that this is a scam, I feel really sorry for all the other candidates who got through with me.

Clients like the Red Cross and Talk Talk work with them because they don't have to pay the 'marketing company' any money!!! They tell them to take a commission out of what ever they raise and then the clients take the rest!
It's cheap and It's cost effective for the clients to get people to promote their cause or whatever and get people to sign up, and not have to pay a single penny.
Where as REAL marketing companies would be paid to do REAL marketing for the clients!!
My stepdad has been the MD of many car dealerships and has also been the manager for many advertising and sales divisions, and he assures me that door to door selling, is not real marketing, it's simply that, door to door selling.

i also recieved a phone call today from EA Worldwide Acquisitions saying to come down for a interview but reading all the reviews i dont wont to disapoint my self or waste my time

you get happy you got a interview credit crunch to find the dissapointment of this

sara beth is the person i had the interview with, then she called me for 2nd interview but this time in another address the same as ea and lms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think she is from carolina, usa, that's why the name. They have opened another office close to the one in London Bridge to have more interviews. She is married to Josh Cote, owner of EA Worldwide Acquisitions, the big office in London Bridge with Live Marketing Direct, Galaxy Marketing, London Marketing Services and Source MArketing Direct. The admin might be Stacey Kehoe, Casey Wilson or Courtney Sagar. .

Attention to GALAXY Marketing ads on REED, they say no door to door sales positions.. They are trying to mislead people again. It's not houses but supermarkets with charities, 100% commission and from 7am to 8pm.. Manager Warren Roach. Be very careful with this guy. They don't even have a website. The admin is Casey Wilson..

Keep posting your experience/knowledge and spread awareness.. Tell all your friends, graduates about these companies so they won't attend interviews..

I totally had an interview with the aforementioned lady and no sexy times occured. Sounds like the aforementioned poster is full of [***]...

Wow what a bunch of losers writing about Peoples personal lifes. Don't have their own lives. Yeah its 100% commision and long hours but its all explained in the interview so if you people don't listen properly then its your own fault. The person that wrote this is a LOSER LOSER and has no ambitions in life.

I had an interview with galaxy marketing and started the job because I had nothing else. They were not clear saying it was 100% commission. They told me I would be getting £250+ so I understood it was 250basic plus commission. I asked the guy and he said yes, so when I was signing the agreement cos there is no contract since u'll be self employed (they didn't tell me either) I asked again and then told me it was just commission.. I gave it a try but decided to leave. It's really long hours to be getting 0money. Learning nothing useful to develop a career..
The manager was warren roach, he was not nice at all and he is a liar.
I've reading all the posts and it seems he likes the pub a lot and spending time with the girls that work for him..they are horrible people.
I feel deceived and disappointed, they have no shame..

It should be illegal to have 20ads in job sites when even the ad is a lie.. Don't go near them

I think you should go back to school to learn how to spell at least and maybe then you could start using your brain..
It is not explained in the interview because their goals are to lie to people so they will be more likely to start.

I think you work there and you are desperate trying to protect your business attacking the people here that try to give as much information as possible to prevent young graduates from wasting their time and money with these types of companies. You are the loser here.

I got a phonecall yesterday from EA Worldwide and i hadnt even applied for their jobs, the interviews today so i thought i'd come online and find out exactly what they do because from the women on the phone all i got was marketing, advertising and sales repeated several times.
I'm glad i've found this site aswell as the 3 others i stumbled across when i searched EA Worldwide on google.

I had applied not to my recollection via reed.com so believed it was legit! However bein offered an interview i had missed SEVERAL phone call attempts! They were still persistant in giving me an interview

2ND ALARM BELL!!!!
Over 2 hours late for an interview as i decided it was too far AND WOULD TAKE OVER AN HOUR, and had decided to go out instead!!!!! I recieve a phone call even though i had cancelled telling me i could attend the interview when i was free (OKAYYYY) just b4 6pm!

3RD ALARM BELL!!!!!!!!!!
Arriving for an interview i was interviewed by a good looking apparent professional, who seemed quite young, pervvy, and convincing! The interview lasted up to 10 minutes, and i ws up against applicants in their mid 20's-40's! NO CHANCE RIGHT!!!!!!
AT the end of my interview i was asked if i was hard wroking and why they shud employ me! To my distaste i was also told that the interviewer was un sure whetha i wud be dedicated/commited enuff for the job! In lamens terms i was 18, street wise, smart and might enjoy a life on the side!!! WOULD SHE FALL FOR OUR SCAM!!! I was then told it was very competitive and if suitable expect a call by 6.30pm

I was at the near by shops and recieved a call saying i had been offered the job! (EXCITED)

4TH ALARM BELL!!!!!!!
Told a preliminary interview would be taking place the following day, and i was to wear comfortale shoes!!! AKA B A DIKHEAD BUY TRAVEL, MOST LIKELY HAVE TO BUY MORE< AND SHADOW THERE TOP SALESMAN ALL DAY LONG FROM 10AM TILL WELL AFTER 6 AM!

OBVIOUSLY I WAS OFFERED THE JOB! I started 2 days later, i was introduced to the product at the time victoria jackson make-up and was taught clever marketing schemed from 7.30 am-10 when we had to merch up and carry a big [***] bag full of crap in and out of london, all day attempting to sell to gulible consumers!

Its all commission based no basic wage, no travel fees, and although your lunch is paid for by friendly managers unless you have the gift of the gab dont bother trying to sell anything! Long hours every day 6 days a week 7.30am-7pm maybe later!

I was told that it was okay if i did not sell anything, although i did, given a tick sheet aka a tally to mark down customers whther they listened to this [***] speech, touched the product, bought it or even bulk bought! i was told i was soo excellent unlike the other new starters i could see 200-250 people a day and make atleast 10 sales! Earning £5 per sale of make up worth £20( dont get me wrong i was happy those days returning home with £45 up but it was not a guarantee every day! Sooner or later i wud run out of money as i wud have to buy a travel card every day and lunch perhaps dinner!

I worked at this company for around a month missing more than 12 days  or lateness due to tiredness, lazyness, realisation, and these long hours causing problems in my relationship!  I knew it would result in bein sacked but didnt care i just didnt want to let the company that had brainwashed me down!

DONT GET ME WRONG!!! I enjoyed working with the company it was fun, entertaining, taught me a lot from conning people, to knowing how to overturn negatives, how to identify positive people in a group, when they arent interested and how to get kicked out of establishments such as starbucks and mc donalds!!!!!!!!!!! AND TO STILL RETURN THE NEXT HOUR, DAY OR WEEK LATER!!!!! and i felt as though i had made sum gud frenz,

however felt very disheartened when i uncovered the truth for myself knowing the would still be working there till this day!!!!!! Being used as cheap monkeys, who wont excell, get an office in 6months time, have their own business and could potentially be arrested for street sales!!! WE were told we had B2B liscenses which is basically door to door sales pestering people working!!!!!! However we always resulted to street pitching, and going back to starbucks!!!!

I was lucky to escape!!!!! I could feel my brain telling me it was dodgy, other colleagues knew for themselves but were happy as they were successful in conning people!!!I was even told to

of the business as i say this loosely by a person who was a web designer and had attended their interview!  I was told i would move up a week prior to my departure after being absent more then 3 days! coming in at 11am or even meeting them on the field at lyk 3pm so i didnt have to carry any of their crap or feel obliged to sell! I was along for the jokes!!! and was still promised progression!!! Yes i could progress to a trainer if i were willing to be some one that would mislead people, into bein puppets whilst still bein pone myself who would have to work even earlier and have absolutely no social life, then move up to assistant manager then to a manager and apparently have my own office!!!!

Now guys if what im tryna say is the people are generally good human beings who have been misleaded into working long shifts in the hope of starting thier own business! UNLESS THEY KNOW AND DONT CARE!!!!!

I applied to galxey company aswell and assumed it was a genuine company as I found the job in the reeds website but whilst researching on the net I could not find any info in regards to the company or anything about the job role. I went to visit the place today and found it so difficult to find.it.The company seems to  non- existant. As a graduate I was so happy that I finally got some sort of reply from a 'professional company' .but now i feel like i just wasted my time. After reading all the comments Im not sure if I should go to the interview on monday.
