SMS marketing in Norwich. My experience at 1st Interview.

1) instant call and interview offer
2) dodgy office with very little furniture, as if it will be gone next week

3) As I walked in, saw Facebook on the screen of the Secretary (which she quickly switched off :))
4) my interview WAS 30 MIN late!!!!

5) while waiting the secretary kept ringing dozens of people offering them an interview, speaking in a very unprofessional manner
6) The interviewer was very nice but sleazy + american accent

7) website 'under construction' but part of EA worldwide  

8) On and on about the big clients like Tesco, bla bla.....

9) no mention of door to door and 100% commission

10) 'extensive training' and ' manager in 8-10 months'

Heard it all..... what a load of $%^&*(  :D :D

Only regret is that I did not get the number of the next candidate waiting outside- she was such a HOTTIE :D

Hi I worked for one of the companies in London Bridge.

I was really surprised at how friendly everybody is with each other. I don't know why there is  so much bad things being said about all the managers they are cool and very down to earth and very honest. I knew it was 100 % commision and they explained the hours to me. So im really upset to see why there is so much bad press on here . I think Hector , Tom , Warren and Johan taught me so much and I hope they came to India soon so I can continue working with them.

WOOOW i have been searching for information on galaxy marketing for HOURS and im glad i found this website. i applied with them through reed and got a call from an indian girl who told me i had an interview with them tomorrow but after reading this i think im gonna stay home and wait for 3.30 to come and call them just to say PLEASE DONT CONTACT ME AND AGAIN!!!

Hi Guys I went for an interview with all those companies. Its a great oppertunity if you willing to put in the hours and work on commision. Its not for me Im here to work and travel. To be honest with the Manager from Galaxy was very Direct and told me everything I needed to know . he did not lie and was honest unlike the people at LMS. but good luck any way.

You sell 15 books of coupons door to door a day (well suppse to ) and you make 100.00 rain or shine

he went to the UK because he got a rep here BEware

All these companies are exactly the same, the only difference is they have a different owner. Galaxy Marketing, Carolina Consulting and Live Marketing Direct are all under EA Worldwide Acquisitions because all these people started under Josh Cote, american dude that came to London due to the bad reputation he got there doing this scam.

Kacy Wilson doesnt work with Galaxy Marketing anymore, there's a girl called Bianca Feiereis and also Geraldine. Even if they deny what they do in free websites for public releases, it is a scam, they lie to people to get them to start and make money from them.

I have complained to these job sites and they have replied saying if enough people complain they will remove their ads. They are trying different ways to get people, there are ads in the hospitality section, retail, customer service and marketing. Do not be fooled by any ads mentioning junior marketing or entry level management program or anything related to not having experience or not a chance to progress.

It is not a job, it's what they called "position" because everyone that start will be self-employed. Not many people register, risking fines from the HMRC. That is illegal. These companies do not control if the guys they recruit are registering since they just care about the money they make from them.

They are also threatening people to remove their posts on the internet because it is affecting the money they make. Check forums for EA Worldwide Acquisitions and you will find the whole list of all this shameful companies.

Send a complaint to Reed and other job sites about them and contact your MP and inform about what's going on and how these companies are taking advantage on graduates, it is explotation.

Avoid this scam

When anyone calls you for an interview especially if it's a marketing company you simply ask is it a self employed position. They will have to answer truthfully which will end the phone call shortly after you say - thank you but I'm not interested, wasting less of your time so you can focus on getting a real interview.

Go if u want to knock on doors getting pain on commission 100%.. Otherwise why should u? That's what they do, what else do u need to know?

Nahh ur right...i dont think im gna go...i called the receptionist up to ask abt the pay..and she straight away passsed it on to the person whom i had an interview with...and i was like u could just tell me about the commision but she didnt...seriously m so damn hell disapointed with these b******!! :(

Hello everyone I have just got an email saying that I am a perfect for the entry level marketing this is from LMS.

I called back and the woman on the phone told me she would phone be back at 2PM today but as I was going to see where it is I typed the address on google and this website came up.

I have been out of work for almost a year now and I want to know should I continue speaking to them and get an interview or shall I just ignore them.

LMS or london marketing services works in london bridge with ea worldwide acquisitions, source marketing direct, galaxy marketing, carolina consulting and live or live marketing direct. it is the same scam, dont bother wasting your time. the only reason why they are not illegal is because everyone "working" for them, is self-employed. they exploit people.
the post in the forum os money saving expert that says "you will not be a namager" explains that this way of asking for donations door to door is illegal in the uk.. someone should call a lawyer and tv..

i have been called tomorrow for a second interview.. there were sooooo many canditates in the office. are all of them in for a scam. i was interviewed by johan gericke.
the fact that there was no London Marketing Services logo and that no one talked about salary did give me the suspicion but then how can a big scam as this have an office in the heart of London and can go on without being noticed by employee tribunal or sued by anyone? i am sooooo confused!!

you guys have just saved me alot of time and effort. they emailed me a few days ago ad i thought it was a legit job. i looked their website up and it gave very little info on what they actually do. i was meant to go for the interview 2mro at 10 but i wont bother. i hate fake things like that! thanks guys

I must be having a BAD MONTH!

1 – About 3wks a go company called Webemploy (www.webemploy.co.uk) phoned me. 2wks later the website and everything disappeared. The website appeared very legit but I did not pay enough attention to the small print right at the bottom  of the page, that was not in the terms or conditions that says ‘we are not a recruitment agency we just provide exposure’ so be aware of them!!!

2) Ablestoke consulting (AVOID THEM) called me yesterday and as I went to type in their name turned out that it was a scam too.

3) I had an email  from Monster Marketing (Corsica Marketing are another one) I emailed them back twice and no reply! (alarm bells ringing) so I called today and the lady said she hadn’t received any emails!!!??? And had to ask me for my full name and email address again!!?? Just like VIXIE the appointment was for 10am and I couldn’t change the time.

IT IS REALLY ANNOYING THAT PPL WILL GO SUCH LENGTHS TO WASTE OUR TIME, WHO ARE SERIOUSLY AND GENUINELY LOOKING FOR WORK.

- FINANCIAL COMPANIES - CHECK THEY ARE REGISTERED ON THE FSA WEBSITE (BUT EVEN THAT DOES NOT GUARANTEE THEY ARE REAL E.G ABLESTOKE CONSULTING)

both the above address mentioned in all these previous posts. STAY AWAY FROM BOTH!!!!

both said they were "impressed" with interview and would like me to come back one for tomorrow 9.30-6pm to shadow a manager and second company the next day 9.30-7pm.

I knew they were dodgy when they had the same application form, same B***S*** role, there were NO signs with the company name in either office, and both said one of their clients was Talk Talk- this is where they f****d up. I came home and googled both companies, as nothing came up i googled the address and what do I find??? this forum and many others sauing the same thing- these people are scammers and taking advantage of naive graduates who are genuinely looking for a career.

Im lucky to have found out about them before i went for both my second interviews, I hope all the other poor sods who were interviewed today read this- all 60 of them!!! I dont know how they've got away with this.
