I saw an advertise on a train from London, about young girls suffering from unwanted marriage.
It says to donate 1 pounds to help them by texting so I did.

Then I received the message saying, "Thank you, we might call you for more informations" then, call call call... even though I never answered, they called me almost everyday for the first two weeks and then now, about half year later, still sometimes I have calls from them(I had it today!!!).

Just wanted to do something good, but it turned to having lots of calls like nightmare;(

its a London number located near pall mall strand  ,think we should all send them our crap leaflets and mail see how they like being targeted ..........

Hung up when I asked who is calling

didn't answer the phone - but it appears to be from a 'call centre' allegedly to solicit donations for a variety of charlities. don't touch them with a barge pole.

Called in evening - missed call

I sem to be called morning and evening fairly regulary, I took one of the earlier calls and it was an automated male voice saying that the call is from my Bank. I ended the call straightaway.

All you people need to do your research. The company's details are easily found on the net if you just google them.

1) They are a charity fundraising organisation. NOT A SCAM. The call ON BEHALF of various different charities. And on the call they do clearly say 'ON BEHALF OF' because if they said they were calling directly from the charity they would be lying and they are NOT a dishonest company.

2) People saying they'll give directly to the charity and not to people phoning them... well who do you think hired this company to phone up people for them?? THE CHARITIES. Duh. And they do not keep the money donated. Do you really think that would be allowed? The charity pays this company a set amount of money in order for them to make these calls. The company then RAISES over double the amount of money for the charity. That money is given straight to the charity. The company only get the money that the charity paid them to make these calls.

3) if charities don't do this, how else do you think they'll raise funds? These calls work, otherwise this company wouldn't still be in existence, and charities wouldn't be paying them to help them raise money.

4) if you don't want the calls why keep ignoring them and wasting the charity's time and resources? Just answer and tell them you're not interested and that they should remove you from their database. You will not be called again. Simple.

I'd ignore these calls and give direct to charity then they get your full donation, these marketing cold calling firms are a pain in the [***]

Totally agree with you they're so annoying these people why can't they get proper jobs

I have been called twice in the last fortnight from this number; luckily I had my phone on silent and missed the calls.  Who gives them our numbers so they can contact us anyway??

here is what i put on another website & basically if you want to donate choose a charity of your choice,never cold callers! there are scam charities by the thousands so don't believe what you cannot be sure of.we only give to unicef,oxfam & cancer research,oh and we contacted them ourselves as well as a yearly one off gift via christian aid.

i have had them from many different numbers all beginning with 020 ranging from,my pc is at risk and will i allow them access to ones like this a so called charity.
8 missed calls on my cell from 02076197597 this week alone,i never answer them if i know the number i will call back and only then.
up till now i have found most are coming from india,with people pretending they are english sometimes or even scottish!

never give them any info let them do it all,ie i would not give them my broadband supplier on the bug scam so they guessed and got it wrong.
anything they do say that seems relevant to banking issues or internet,go direct to them never believe the claim.
in fact never give them any info at all,not even a name or address,i once got one of these who admitted they bought telephone numbers and sold them on to others like them.it might be illegal,but they can just shut down and start again.i even leave my cell downstairs now so they don't wake me at 2am!

keep calling my mobile unsocialable hours

I keep getting a call from this number, I haven't answered it and they don't leaqve a message??

Keep receiving calls from 02076197597 everytime I answer they hang up. Becoming annoying now please stop calling now.

Had call from this number today at 2.13pm but they rang off before I got to my mobile.  

I'm really cross that my mobile number has been given to these people.  I would like to get them stopped but TPS doesn't seem to have any effect.  

Anyone know any other ways of stopping them?

Will note on their number 'DO NOT ANSWER" - at least I wont waste my time then.

They are SCAMMERS!!!!!

This number has called me at least ten times in three days - I have also missed it by mistake most times.  I called it back once and it started a recorded message so I just immediately cut it off.  I am getting really fed up with it as well.  Did others answer?  Do they actually leave you alone if you answer and tell them to?  Thanks!

always followed by a with held number and now some number +8888888888

I was rang on my mobile number which I do not give out to anybody but close friends and family....How did they get this number..I rang number back..got recorded message..stating that they are a charity..Am appalled that they can do this on a number that I do not give out willingly nilly

Just had my second call from this number... the first time (a few days ago) I answered but they hung up straightaway... this time I didn't even answer. Added them to my contacts as SPAM!! and don't look forward to hearing from them again!

Just found a missed call from this number.
Looked it up on google and found a number of references to it being a charity...
