Persistent caller, a nuisance

Rang on a Sunday afternoon. Do these people have no concept of privacy or a right to a peaceful stress free life. It is about time they were banned.

I am retired had a missed call from 02078909052 on Sunday at 10.31 but rang off before I got to the telephone.  Although ex-directory I regularly get half a dozen unsolicited. sales calls in a day.  One (not this caller) refused to remove my number from their database when asked and advised that I would continue getting calls from them unless I rang a specified number of theirs (business rate charged) to get it removed.  In my opinion such practices should be made illegal including all unsolicted calls on Sunday and before 09.30 & after 18.00 on weekdays.

Had a call from these people but because I have a TrueCall screening unit fitted they hung up during the screening process. I have now added them to my 'zap' list on my unit.

Now they are greeted with a message telling them that I am busy but ask them to hold and then plays them some really anoying music interrupted occasionally with the message that they are moving up a queue and to keep holding. If they do hold they are eventually told after abour 2 - 3 minutes that waiting time to be answered had exceeded my maximum and drops their call after telling them they had been charged for the call - giving these pests some of their own treatment.

I am very concered about these unwanted calls! They are VERY upseting. They are scam calls only out to obtain money. There should be some form of regulation to stop them. They cause a lot of distress to older and the more vunerable people.

My friend had a call this evening from this number. They said they were calling on behalf of the banks. Then asked which bank she was with. She said she didnt wish to answer there questions & put the phone down. She was in a bit of a panic when I saw her as recently she had money taken from her bank account by someone. The bank did eventually sort it, (took over a month) but this was the first thing she thought of. The caller did not say it was for research or anything else.

Have just had a call from this number - I didn't answer it, because I have become very suspicious in my old age, but I googled this number and found this website (so I know now it's marketing/survey, but I have marked it officially as 'unknown' for the purpose of feedback on this website because I did not answer it myself to find out first-hand) plus some more official advice sites which say that if you ask them to remove your number they must do so withing 28 days, otherwise they are breaking the law.  I have emailed this company to tell them this.  I have also barred this number from my phone - I don't have a complicated phone, a very simple one, but you may find your phone also has the function whereby you can bar specific numbers.  I am registered with the TPS, but they can't stop everything, but once I had registered my land line and mobile numbers with the TPS 90% of nuisance calls and texts stopped straight away - so it is worth doing - but they can't stop the ones who get around the law, like this company, or the ones from abroad.  But basically, if you know you don't know know anyone who lives abroad don't answer any calls which start with a foreign code, and if you're not sure who it is don't answer, or put the answerphone on to screen the calls!

Annoying to receive a call this evening. ... and to a TPS registered number. Did not pick up or follow up as the number was not recognised.

had 2 calls today from then asking about my bank,  told them to mind there own has i do not tell any one who calls any banking or personal info. and that i would invoice them for my time.  she thank me for my time and put the phone down on me.

they wont the info but will not pay for it,  but they would get paid for the information they get from all of us

this has appeared as a missed call 4 times this month now between 6pm and 8pm if i get to the phone they hang up after about 30 seconds of unintelligible sounds its getting to be very annoying now. would be glad if they couldnt keep doing it

I have two missed calls on my mobile today from this number. As only my family have my mobile number I do not know how they got this. I don't even remember my number as I only use the mobile for emergencies.

Another call that cuts off when you answer the phone. Obviously a cold calling company. This is my phone and I only want calls from people whom I wish to call.

I didn't answer as it is my workmobile and I don't work at weekends

got a call today ..asian man ,telling me he was doing a surveyfor the european commision!wtf?he aint even european

Their director used to work for virgin. Do virgin have your number?

Missed call today on my mobile on a Sunday. These people should be hung up ;-)

I just had a call, said yes i can answer questions (im nice like that), he was very polite, asked if i had a landline at home, i said yes, and he said he is conducting mobile only households so i wouldnt be able to help.

Silent call, rather disturbing as my partner has been receiveing them on her mobile as well.

Have reported the number to BT

Missed call from this number. Sounds like they're quite prolific so I'll watch out for it in future...

Nothing to be cautious about at all. I work for the company and there is nothing to worry about.  Remember that us, telephone interviewers are people too and we're just doing our job hoping someone will actually be kind enough to complete the survey
