- Annie_MHave been contacted a few times by this company recently - but not been available to talk. Husband passed phone to me today - and how easy it was to almost get sucked in! Lady first [with Asian accent] explained she was phoning from WINDOWS - and when I pushed further, told me she was from PC Masters. Against my better judgement I allowed her to do the Remote Control - and of course, found thousands of errors on my system! I was then passed to a male [even stronger Asian accent] who then began to move rapidly around my screen - at which point I disconnected the link and told him I wasn't interested in paying for the software to solve all my problems. Fortunately, he was polite about it all! I discovered that software had been installed on my computer - but deleted it, and hope it's gone completely. A Google search - and here I am! Only thing is - they've changed the number to 0280 057298. Hope this helps.

- Jeff PiperAt 2054 today I recevied a call from Ryan (with a strong Asian Accent) of Online Pc Masters based in Luton.
He said that I had a problem with my pc and that an error message had been sent to Microsoft. and there was a Trojan Virus infection which was stopping services on my pc and that eventually all my services would stop and the pc would crash. He said he was Microsoft qualified.
He asked me to run Msconfig and showed me Services which have stopped. He then asked me to run Eventvwr and asked about Error events.
He said he could fix the problem and wanted to connect to my pc. I asked him what it would cost and he said that it depended on what was wrong. He suggested using Teamviewer to connect.
I declined his offer
I would suggest others do the same and email details to tradingstandards@luton.gov.uk quoting MAU 097764- Caller: Online Pc Masters
- db, GrimsbyI received a call today from an Indian speaking woman saying they had received errors from my computer. I asked how did they know my telephone number. They said they had it from Windows Microsoft. I asked what was the name of their company, she advised it was Online PC Masters and I could look this up on the internet.
She was persisent and kept repeating to go through Start button - Run: eventvwr.
I told her I wanted to check this out beforehand, put my daughter on who had the sense to say ring back. Wise move. After reading up on Martin Lewis web site, this is a scam.
Please advise your friends & family to hang up and not to take any instruction from them. This ends up with your computer running slow and this company requiring £89.95 /year to put this right.

- ATALWe received two phone calls from a lady with an indian accent claiming that our computer was giving off an error code that was coming up on her company's system. We were suspicious of her so we asked for her company details. She became quite irritated and a bit rude. When I asked for her number she hung up the phone. At this point we were looking the company up on the internet and came across this site where other people had complained of the same scam.
- JeanetteI received a call from Online PC Master, technical dept to tell me that I had a Bluebird virus on my computer. He said his name was Alex Vull and that the company was based in Luton, Leeds. We have had a lot of International withheld calls since we have had this telephone number from several different companies , asking for a Mrs Rees (this is a new build, we had our telephone line installed by Sky and no Mrs Rees has ever lived at this number). I said that I would have to ring him back when I had spoken to my son and he gave me a different number to the one listed above02033180604.

mark - Ant| 1 replyJust had a call from an Asian man called David Brown. He said he was from online PC Masters. He gave a number 0203 318 0604. He said it is different from the number on the website. He said he needed access to my computer to fix a "Bluebird" virus. He recieved notification from my PC that these was an infection and he needs remote access to my computer in order to fix it. As I am an IT professional, I called his bluff and he hung up. He was insistant and every time I asked him technical questions, he put me on hold. I suspect his script was not prepared for people who are not afraid of virus warnings. Somehow I dont think he is from Online PC Masters.

- ACB replies to AntI have been getting repeated calls from the same number and explained that they should not call people unless someone needed their help. Asked them how they got our phone no, they told me from my IP address. Was really shocked.. Called them and told them not to disturb us anymore.
Let us see if they change otherwise have to report it TV channel - ElizabethPlease could someone track this person down. I had a phone call from him, sounded like the same person as stated by others with a asian accent. He was very direct and he told me about receiving messages from 'windows live' which led me to beleive it was legit. He also passed the phone on to his supervisor. He said he was going to help me get rid of the problem and didn't make it clear who he actually was but kept telling me that I had several viscious viruses on my computer that needed to get removed. I was worried so I went on to listen to him as he didn not sound like a telesales person. He carried out the same actions and took control over my computer which is when I began to get worried and I actually wanted to cry as I had so much work on my computer and some random man was telling me... lies. He started to tell me how he was going to sort out the problem but then told me it costed £159. I then told him I did not know this was a sales call and I thought you were offereing help on the behalf of windows. I was very angry and I hope this person gets stopped.

- VonRecieved call from a female with strong (possibly Indian) accent from "online PC masters". She informed my that my computer was infected with a virus. She had become aware of this because she received "Microsoft's error reports". I informed her that I had up-to-date anti-vurus software on my PC and was surprised to hear about the infection. She was persistent and advised me to switch on my computer so that she could fix the problem! Suspecting a scam, I asked for her telephone number and told her I'd contact her if I required her services. The number was given as 020 814 5602. Needless to say, it's one call that I won't be making.

I received a telephone call, on Sat pm.18th June in Barnet, from an Indian gentleman who gave his name as ?Romero (very broad accent). He told me I had a Trojan virus on my computer which my Norton can't remove. Said they would remove it free of charge! Told him I was not with my computer.
This was when he gave me the 02081445602 number, and to telephone him back. I think he said he was from PC Masters.
Checked with my ISP, who said no one "outside" can check online if you have a virus. They also told me this may be a scam, as they Googled the telephone number whilst talking to me. This is how I found your website.
I hope this may be of help.
My email address is mr_p_stern@hotmail.com.
