    Recent Fraud and Corruption Cases

    Fraud Scam
    A company called 'Sanda Wellness Centre'; AKA, 'Sanda Healthcare' URN N/T, are currently cold calling residents of East Yorkshire, asking questions relating to health and trying to sell products such as Rose Hip Syrup for £20.00, asking for full address and bank details from their prospective customers.

    The company have stated to one resident that they are working on behalf of her GP but enquiries have revealed that this is not the case.

    The contact number for Sanda Wellness Centre is 102086190075 Ext: 2019. Calls from Sanda Healthcare have come from Tel:- 02086190071 and enquiries reveal them to be based in India. The company have recently purchased electoral and phonebook information from the UK, hence the recent cold calls.

    Hi Bali,

    1st of all thankyou for dealing promptly with the full refund for my 80yr old father, as from 11/12 he has received a total of £1754.39. This was the total amount he had paid for your products.

    In addition to the above on 15/12 he has received a further refund from your company for £155.40, I will be contacting his bank in the near future to pay this money back into your account, as it clearly doesn't belong to my father. If we were to keep this money, it is a theft on our part and as I have mentioned before on my entries on Pg's 37 & 40, I am a completely honest person and I for one could not live with that on my conscience. I have strong morals & ethics.

    I am hoping that this was just an administrative error on your companies part and not something more sinister, such as an attempt to stop me from any further complaining on an open forum or buttering me up to stop me from being honest, open and upfront.

    The whole experience of dealing with your company has been a total nightmare from the outset.

    I made it clear from the beginning, that my complaint which was detailed in both my letters I sent to you was in relation to a breach of verbal contract and the mis selling of the goods at totally inflated prices.

    In my 2nd letter I requested copies of your all your voice recorded conversations between your sales representatives and my father, but when you have replied back to us, you have not mentioned anything about the recorded messages.

    In my opinion this is further evidence, to suggest that your company representative did not have any conversation about the totally inflated price of £1754.39, with my father about your products.

    Do you have any tape recorded conversations with my father?

    Even though my father has received a full refund and more from your company, it doesn't take away the fact that the principles and strategies that you carry out is an absolute disgrace.

    I am sure that I am speaking on behalf of many hundreds if not thousands of people, many of whom have fallen into this trap and are embarrassed to come forward, when I repeat that you prey, bully and intimidate elderly vulnerable people in our communities, obtain their debit card details and obtain as much money as you can from them.

    I wouldn't be able to sleep at night, it is the lowest of the low.

    Another issue that you have not replied back to me about is why you changed the company name on 6/11 to Natural Wellness Products Limited ?

    In relation to my complaint, don't worry folks, I don't give up easily, I will be taking further legal advice on these issues.

    I sincerely hope people who read this post and have fallen victim, pursue appropriate complaints to the endth degree, as I will be doing.

    Bali in answer to your message of receiving satisfactory conclusions, as you can clearly see I for one am not satisfied, the refund was only part of my complaint, the rest appears to have been totally ignored.

    Hi Paul,

    I am glad to hear that you have received your refund.  As to the extra you claim to have received I thank you for returning it and will investigate as to why this happened.  There certainly was no reason for us to try any subterfuge.

    In answer to you other questions I am happy to respond to them now:

    Do you have any tape recorded conversations with my father?
    No we do not.  We do not record calls as during the sales cycle as credit card details are divulged and as you will well be aware it would be an offence for us to store credit card details in any form.

    Another issue that you have not replied back to me about is why you changed the company name on 6/11 to Natural Wellness Products Limited ?
    This is again nothing sinister.  Due to internal changes it required the change of trading name.  This is due to be in full effect from Jan 1st 2013 when we will be represented by the new name.  As you are probably aware changing a trading name at companies house produces a public document.  Changing the name for anything underhand would be a pointless effort.

    Payment is taken by debit or credit card over the telephone.

    In several cases the consumer has agreed to try the product for one or two months but when the product is delivered they find they have been sent 6 months supply, and 6 months payment has been taken at the time of the initial call. When they tried to cancel the order, they have been contacted later by the salesman who became aggressive.
