Pleased I found this website...confirmed my gut instinct that "Frank Dias" from the Wellbeing Centre may not have been all that he seemed, when he called me 2 days ago and again today.

Very persistent in trying to sell me POMY (pomegranate) tablets at the special price of £14.95. He said he had 22 years experience of arthritis and could guarantee the benefits of the tablets.

I have contacted my GP's surgery to discuss the benefits/possibility of a poster alerting patients to this type of cold calling. Pomegranate tablets can be bought for pennies.

Hi Wendy - I have had several calls from them and eventually called back to find out what was going on - the guy who talked to me had a mid-east accent, appeared to be well informed on the physiological front and, surprisingly about my medical history which, like your mum, gave me the impression that they may have access to my medical files - clever guesswork or inside knowledge I'm not sure. I listened to his 'pitch' which I found a fascinating (I have some knowledge of nutrition and health) and an interesting example of telesales, then told him I am following an approach reccomended by my doctor and would call him back after a month or two if it seemed sensible to me.
He did not ask for any payment details because I cut him off before he got to the hard sell bit, but he did tell me that I should take the 800mg Rosex tablet and because I'm a pensioner, it would be half price - only £14.95 for a box of 30!
He provided me with full contact details as follows:
    Danny Paul
    Tel - 0208 619 0075
    Extension 0185
    Sanda Wellness UK Ltd
    Bucks

    Licence Number 6377623

I am suspicious and intend to research the company and his assertions but it's unlikely that I'll buy anything.

I have just had a call from a very pleasant Asian lady called Yana from The Wellness Centre who talked to me at length about my health and recommended that I take a capsule called Pomy which contains 250mg of Pomigrannet extract including the outer skin of the fruit.

I asked where the conversation was going and she quickly told me it was an awareness campaign and ended the call when I asked for a web site.

I was called today from "The Well Being Centre", the person was called kevin his extension tel; was 2012, also i spoke with trevor prince, both were very informative and appeared extremely knowledgeable on athritis, I assumed they had my details from a private company I had a previous health check, I was offered xtrlaex ointment for my condition. Desperation to have anything that would help with pain I bought 2 months supply £69
firstly I was offered 5 months supply for £149, but said I couldn't afford that. their address given to me was 32, Ballmoor, Celtic Court, Buckingham industrial estate, MK18 1RQ. I was told I will be phoned in 15-25 days to see if the product was helping me.
After now reading what everbody has written, I feel very stupid in what I have done and will asap be contacting the bank to stop payment.

caller from "THE WELLNESS CENTRE" Kenneth ? cold called about a survey they were conducting into arthritis, asked various questions concerning what medication I was taking and what for, then asked about diet & weight and any fitness concerns. Then launched ito sales patter for Burn'n Bind which he could offer at a special pensioners price of £28-45 and could I pay by credit card ,I told him that as I did not have one he would be unlucky, but he went on to say that they could still send the pills and include an invoice to be paid by cheque, they already had my address on file(HOW?).
He also gave me their telephone no.020886190075 and address of 32 Ballmoor Avenue ,Bucks NK18 1RQ.
whoever they are they could be in for a surprise as I don't have a cheque book.So we''ll see if the "special price " pills turn up .
If this is a well known scam why don't the authorities put a stop to it instead of letting them "pester"  more unsuspecting people.

Lady called Olivia called and asking me my health issues and advising me to take pomy tablets at £15 for 30 tablets for 8 months .  She does not accept cheques, and  against me buying on-line but persuading me to buy using my card, which I denied.    She can be pretty forceful.

    regards  - Sheena

Just had the call, chap called Andy Parker, gave this telephone number for me to call him back (some hope!) and was offering the Rosex at £14.95 for 30 tablet tub. Tha fact that this scam has gone on so long shows that a lot of people must be buying or else they couldn't keep it going.

The caller spoke good colloquial English with an asian accent.

I also have just had a call from an Asian sounding gentleman. It was a lengthy call extolling the benefits of the pomegrante and the product he was trying to sell is called Pomy. He gave his name as Waren Payez from Sanda Wellness, Velna Centre, 32 Belmore, Celtic Court Industrial Estate, Bucks, MK18 1RQ. Tel no: 0208 619 0075 Ext 0293. He said the normal cost of the product was between £30-35 but over 55s could purchase at a special discount of £14.95. I told him I would not buy anything on the strength of a telephone call and would have to think about it and do some research . He seemed to believe that I did not need to do research. I asked him what the hurry was. He is expecting a call from me tomorrow at 6.00 pm.

Just had a lengthy, extremely pally call from 'Jason Parker' from Sanda Wellness. Eventually I was offered a 'special deal' on 60 Burn & Bind slimming/ general magic pills for a mere £24.95!
When I refused to give card details over the phone and ended the call, he left a message saying he'd send a brochure and call me again.
    Details he gave me-
company address- 3 Montpelier Ave, Bexley, Kent DA5 3AP, and a company registration number- 6377623
Glad I checked it out on here. - a scam, and certainly a very hard sell

I have just had a similar call re Pomy. The girl was very polite to start with but as soon as I said I was not interested as I do not buy from cold callers over the phone, she became very persistent and the cheey persona disappeared. Initially she claimed it was a health survey but it soon became obvious it was a hard sell. I am annoyed with myself for letting her rabbit on for so long as I usually stop this type of conversation before they get started. I hate this invasion into my home. How do I prevent this happening again without being rude ?

I was today contacted by someone calling himself Eric, who gave his ID number as 6377623. Sounded very plausible but since I am not a particularly trusting person I said I would check his product out       ( Rose-X) and you have confirmed my suspicions.  Wonder if he will indeed call me back in two days for my order. That wont be happening any time soon I think.  What a wonderful tool the internet can be.

I got a phone call from someone called Bela from Wellness Clinic. I thought it was some type of survey especially as I have had nuisance calls barred from my phone. After about 20mins was beginning to realise that it was instead very clever sales pitch. She finished by saying that she had my name and address and now all she needed was my credit card details. I told her that I was not going to give any credit card details out to someone who had just cold called me. I work for a building society and spend quite a bit of my time sorting out the mess caused by these types of scams. BEWARE these people are very clever.

Also how did they get my telephone number as I have had nuisance calls barred. Is this illegal?
