Spent half an hour listening to 'John Paul' with an Indian accent, from a call centre, The Wellness Centre. Advising me to take supplements for joint pain. Offering half price to pensioners. Who gave them my number?

Had a call this morning from 'Mark' doing a health survey for the Wellness Centre based at 32 Ballmore Celtic Court Buckinghamshire - long dissertation from him and questions about my health and offering me Rosex 800mg at the pensioner price of £14.95 for 30 tablets to take for 8 months to relieve my (minor) arthritis.  Said I had to discuss with my (unavailable) wife.  He said for me to phone back later in the day as it was Friday and the offer finished today!!!

Yes, false and misleading claims down the phone appears to be Sanda Wellness's MO. There is no mention of GOPO on any packet of Rosex shown on the web, nor on their own site. Hi, we have not been so lucky with Sanda, my elderly father received a call for cod liver oil tablets and he has now lost £1000.00 to this company. I have reported it to the bank, police and trading standards, these people should not be allowed to trade, it shocking.  Sending the goods back but cant see us getting a refund. Cant get them to stop calling him, within 15 minutes yesterday following my call to them to ask them not to call him they called him, what is wrong with these people

Other things you may wish to consider is alerting your father's GP's Surgery so that they can put a poster up and the local age-related charity shops. I was told that only a fraction (fewer than 10%) of scams against the elderly are ever reported. I have yet to verify this figure, but am willing to take it at face value until I find a government site with the exact figures.

Those without internet access are obviously particularly vulnerable as they cannot conduct due-diligence on companies that cold call, hence the importance of posters in GP's Surgeries and Charity Shops.

I would also contact your local newspaper!

Many thanks for replying to me.  Sanda have verbally agreed to refund the second invoice amount to us of £600.00  but are refusing to refund the first invoice.  I have however sent all goods back to them and demanded a full refund as per advice given by Trading Standards. Not sure if we will get any of this money back but will not give up.

I have changed all my Dad's bank details and now changed his telephone number but will be sending your letter to them also to prevent future communication.  

I will contact my Dad's GP as I think it is important as you say to try and bring this to the attention of some of the most vulnerable people who very clearly are the target group for this company.

I also had a call from a very polite Asian young man calling himself Peter who said he was from a Wellness Centre (couldn't quite catch the name).  He said they were calling senior citizens concerning their health.  At the end of quarter of an hour he got down to the nitty gritty and starting pushing the benefits of POMY extract which he said I could get for the special price of £14.95.  I then thanked him and said I couldn't spare any more time and rang off.

Cold call from the Wellness Centre in Buckingham.Caller's name was Danny Paul, Asian man, selling Pomy,  anti oxidant pills to help to loose weight. I agreed to buy 30 pills for £14.95, special price for senior citizens, like an idiot I gave my credit card number. Then I was passed on to an adviser called Trevor, for the details of when to take these pills, twice a day, after breakfast and main meal. Then he informed me that I must follow this regime for 6 months and that I would be sent enough pills to do so at a cost of £149.00, because they were not allowed to keep my card details. I began to smell a rat, but as I had already given my card details for the original sum quoted, there was not much I could do. This whole conversation went on for more than half an hour. Both men were knowledgeable medically and definitely had the gift of the gab. I have had many cold calls before, but no-one has ever got further than my saying "put it in writing". Immediately after I had hung up I looked on line and to my horror found that many people had been contacted in this manner and that my worst fears were realised, SCAM. I am furious with myself for being so stupid!. I rang the bank to try to stop the payment, but apparently they cannot do anything until the payment has been made.

Just got a call from this lot for my housemate. They're another Indian call centre, calling about a "Health Awareness Campaign" from the "Wellness Centre". The woman on the phone said that she is calling "every citizen" in London (but not me!).

They called to ask about "general wellbeing". At first the woman on the phone was reluctant to get into any specifics about what they mean by "general wellbeing", eventually the best she could tell me was that it's about "blood pressure, cholesterol and joints", "things like that".

"Things like that"? What THINGS? Like credit card number for them to sell on? Get lost!

I have just had a lengthy conversation with an Asian guy called Shamon who I thought was from a company with whom I had recently had a private health scan.  He then went on to try to sell me a  pomegranate product called pomy.  I foolishly gave him. or rather his lady "specialist" called Sally, my card details , still thinking it was the comany I had previously dealt with. It was not until she rang me back that I realised it was a different business and thatI had been the victim of a scam.  The police will be informed!!

Princy Carter from the Sanda Wellness Centre , 34 Ballmoor Ave, Celtic Court, Bucks MK18 1RQ phoned trying to sell Pomy. 'On special offer today for people in your county".  Lots of questions about health and supplements taken and very persistent style. Even when informed that I have signed up to the telephone preference service and do not buy from unsoliceted callers she persisted for about 20 minutes. So far she has attempted two follow up calls in the following week.

Received a call yesterday from this number. Said his name was Kenneth Hill from Wellness Centre, 32 Ballmoor Ave., Bucks, MK18 1RQ. Tried to sell me Gopo £14.95. Wanted my card details and wasn't very happy when I said no as I had just started taking something else for my arthritis. Said he would ring back in a month. Couldn't say how he got my name or number.

It seems they are mow targetting the north west. Just had Keith Hill on (very persistant Asian man) telling me how I needed pomy to ensure a long life. Finally got rid of him when I told him I didn't care if I died tomorrow as I have a 20year old mistress who keeps me fit!  Well  he started the lies!

I have also just had a cold call from a lady called Nelly at the Wellness Centre in Celtic.  She sounded Asian but asked me lots of questions about my health, weight, BMI etc.  She then wanted to sell me Pomy a Pomegranite skin product that I sprinkle onto my food for £14.95 saying I would see the results in 4-6 weeks.
She was extremely pleasant and said she could arrange delivery direct to my door.
I wan't prepared to give her my credit card details but took her tel number.
Feel relieved that I didn't enter into some agreement and have hundreds of pounds taken off my card.
Do you think this is a scam?

I received a call from Leroy Anderson saying he was from sanda wellness  and started enquiring about my health in general. asking about any aches and pains I  had and what would be the best vitamins for the  problem. he then told me the name - rosehip, also known as rose x with gopo - which his grandmother apparently used for her athritis.  he then asked me to pay by debit card which i refused to do and then went on to agree to send me a catalogue.  no way would i buy these anyway from him as they are way too expensive.

Had call re COMY that went on and on. In the end they wanted credit or debit card details, which I refused. They then called back saying the phone had gone down. I had already told my wife to refuse any further communications with them.
