Had a call from02086190075 this afternoon trying to sell me POMY was told it would cleanse your body of all impurities,I was to keep taking it for 9 months and after that I would not need my medication,many people have been ,able to stop their medication after taking POMY ,costing £14/95 and then asked what kind of card I used ,I said I was not giving her my bank details and she hung up.Please do not give any of these people your bank details,it is a scam.

yes this company is just a fake they only want to make money,these are just sales people .

just had a call from someone at Sanda wellness, and after a long chat, was asked to pay £17 for glucosamine - extra flex agent to combat arthritis pain.   I told the person I was waiting for a new bank card in the post, so she said she will call back on Mon july 23rd for my bank details.
the reason I put off giving my bank details was to check out the company.   I will not be giving her my bank details when she phones back.

I have just had a call from a very pleasant Asian lady called Amy from The Sanda Wellness Centre in Buckingham who talked to me at length about my health and recommended that I take a capsule called Pomy which contains 250mg of Pomegranete extract including the outer skin of the fruit. Said it was good for menopause and weightloss in women my age. When I pointed out they were cheaper online she wais they wouldn't be of the same quality. Had my housemate not walked in I would probably have bought them just to get rid of her...

Just had a call from this company.  I spotted it as a cold call immediately. I asked her for her personal telephone number so I could call her and try to flog her something she hadn't asked for.  I talked to her for about 10 minutes and told her I was only listening so that someone else wouldn't have to be sujected to this harrassment.  She gave me the Milton Keynes address and the 0206190075 number. When I pointed out she hadn't given me the Milton Keynes number she got very cagey and told me thousands of people gave her blessings.  She made all sorts of claims about being a fully qualified health practitioner etc etc etc.  Finally she declared that if I didn't trust her she needed to speak to others who would and rang off!

Was called today by 'Joan' - she said she was from Sri Lanka and was working for Sanda Wellness - would I answer a few questions about my health. OK, she asked about my life style and what I did workwise and for leisure, was I married, have children etc. Conversation got round to pomegranates and what an amazing fruit they were - reduced the risk of strokes, cancer, impotency, the effects of the menopause etc - and how she could offer me at half-price the easy-to-take Pomy tablets which would do wonders for me. In the end, I declined her kind offer and the call finished, but only after she'd told me her address and telephone number, so I could order Pomy.

Hello there, i just had a lady called  Elisabeth from Buckinshire on the phone wanting to send me a product called Pomy, a detox program. I put the phone down when she mentioned  for me to to pay by card..  I recently got conned into buying a2x for only £2,75 as they only wanted postage. Needles to say they sent me another box for the full amout taken from my given Debit Card. I now cancelled my card..    Borg

Telephone scam: Supposed pharmaceutical company selling rose hip tablets to arthritis suffers during bogus calls

A local resident has received an unsolicited telephone call from a lady allegedly from a pharmaceutical company saying she had been given her details because she suffers from arthritis.

The caller advised the householder not to eat citrus fruits as they can aggravate the arthritis and then went on to promote the sale of rose Hip tablets.

She went on to say that she could supply 30 rose hip tablets for £40, but if the resident supplied her bank card details immediately to the caller they could supply the tables for a special price of £15.

The householder asked for the company's name and details, but was told that she didn't need them as the company would contact the resident again.

Fortunately, she did not give her bank details as her daughter deals with her finances.

Always be wary of unsolicited telephone calls. Never give out your bank details.

Never buy from unknown sources as the goods may be dangerous as they may not have gone through the appropriate safety methods of testing.

My mother had the call from Alisha today from the Wellbeing Centre and thankfully mum is clued up on scams. She was asked pushy questions about having any health problems.  Mum pushed to find where they were based and despite being a foreign call centre, she said Buckinghamshire. Mum then asked if they were affiliated with the NHS. She sheepishly said "no" so mum told them that she would never discuss health matters with anyone except an NHS professional and to stop calling us. We're norfolk based but keep getting similar calls. Despite asking these numbers remove us, they ignore us. It makes me angry they're trying to scam them frequently.

This is the new name for the scamming rats at Sanda Wellbeing.  They target the elderly and try to persuade them to take their quack remedies.  They neither know, nor care, what medical problems their victims have, or what medication they may be on.  There is another number on here for this lot which is three times as long as this one.  One poster (an ex Police Officer, has had some of their products analysed and it does not make nice reading. Most of the ingredients are useless and one has been linked to cancer.  Although your mum was too wise to be caught, please report them to Action Fraud and Trading Standards.  They are already on the run as Sanda, so people need to know about their nerw name.

A company called 'Sanda Wellness Centre'; AKA, 'Sanda Healthcare' URN N/T, are currently cold calling residents of East Yorkshire, asking questions relating to health and trying to sell products such as Rose Hip Syrup for £20.00, asking for full address and bank details from their prospective customers.

The company have stated to one resident that they are working on behalf of her GP but enquiries have revealed that this is not the case.

The contact number for Sanda Wellness Centre is 102086190075 Ext: 2019. Calls from Sanda Healthcare have come from Tel:- 02086190071 and enquiries reveal them to be based in India. The company have recently purchased electoral and phonebook information from the UK, hence the recent cold calls.

Bogus NHS Credit Cards Calls: Just Hang Up

Kent Trading Standards have received reports of bogus callers telephoning consumers pretending to be from a local GP surgery.

The caller gives the impression they are from the NHS and asks what medication the consumer is taking. In one incident the caller persuaded the consumer they would benefit from taking Pomegranate tablets, they took credit card details and debited £179.50 from the account.

A victim's son traced the call back to a company based in India. No NHS health professional would ever ask for a patient's credit card details over the phone.

Kent Trading Standards are warning consumers to be very wary of anyone cold calling and requesting credit or debit card details. If you are in any doubt at all end the call. In your home, on your phone, you are in control - hang up.

Twenty-seven companies involved in the mis-selling of health supplements have been wound up in the High Court following an investigation by Company Investigations of the Insolvency Service.

The investigation found that all of the companies (see list below) had their registered offices in the County Durham area but traded internationally, mainly from locations in Barcelona and Malta by placing "Free Trial Offers" for health supplements on numerous websites.

Customers responding to a "Free Trial Offer" supplied their payment card details believing that only a small charge to cover postage and packaging (typically £3.95) was required.  However, if the customer  failed to cancel the “Free Trial Offer” within the cancellation period (usually 15 days) they were deemed to have agreed to an ongoing supply of the product from the companies, at a cost of around £70 to £80 each month.

Commenting on the case, Stephen Speed, Chief Executive of The Insolvency Service said;
"The Insolvency Service is determined to come down hard on companies who seek to rip off the public by mis-selling products.  I urge all consumers to be vigilant when it comes to ‘free trial offers’, and remember if it looks to good to be true, it often is."

Analysis of the available records for just seven of the companies found that they had turnover in excess of $19 million in the period August 2009 to March 2010 which was processed through merchant accounts based in Germany.

The products offered by the companies included Acai Berry Detox, Acai Power, Effective Acai, Acai Detox, Absolute Acai, Colon Cleanse Fresh, Colon Purify, Life Cleanse, Resveratrol, Resvmax, Miraculous Teeth Whitening, PureClean Teeth, Dermasensation and Dermainfuse.

The investigation found that there was a serious lack of transparency as to who controlled the companies with the named directors being otherwise unconnected individuals residing in the Consett area of County Durham. Those spoken to by the investigators said they knew nothing about the affairs of the company of which they were the only director and said their only  task was to forward any post received for the companies to a local formation agent, Brinken Merchant Incorporations Limited. Each had been approached to act as a director by Brinken who paid them around £150 a year.

However, the Court heard that 25 of the companies were found to be under the common control of Local Billing Solutions Limited ("Local Billing"), a company registered in Malta. Local Billing maintained throughout the inquiry that it acted only as a payment processor and that the beneficial interest in the companies belonged to Canonizado International, a company said to be registered in Panama, of which the investigators could find no trace. On the documents available, the investigation established that the beneficiaries of the companies’ trading were most likely to be Local Billing and its principal Clayton Douglass.

Grounds for winding up the companies included,

·   The websites used by the companies misled customers into believing that the trial offer was risk free and limited in nature,

·    The terms and conditions of the offer were designed to confuse the customer and were not provided in any durable medium,

·   The length of the trial offer was not made clear.  Customers were provided with a 30-day supply of the product, but had, typically, only 12 days from receipt of the product in which to cancel any future supply,

·        The companies abused the privilege of trading through a limited company by effectively continuing the same method of operating as that used by Trading Planet Limited, Viv3lab Limited and Vivera Limited.

Those three companies having previously been wound up by the Court in the public interest.
The winding up orders were all made on 26 August 2010.

Tried to get me to sign up for a course costing something like £140 at a reduced rate of £110.50

Initially very convincing but only got worried when they turned up the heat and tried to get me to part with the £110.50
