- Money Reunited, if at all possible replies to PaulS 1986Hi Paul and others who have paid this lot
Have a chat with your credit card company. Refer them to this site. See if they will countenance a charge back. you can find out more about what that means here.
http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/sale-o ... and-debit-cards - MoonHi,
I too was taken in by this lot. A week earlier I had been in touch with BT re a problem with my Network access which they fixed by accessing my PC remotely and reset the access code etc. When Login4speed called my wife answered the phone and thought that they were from BT and passed the call to me. When I talked to them they said that the BT system was infected with virus's etc etc and that they needed remote access to my PC which I foolishly agree. (OK all you clever dicks out there its easy for you to say IT'S A SCAM but at the time I was preoccupied with other problems and just thought that this was a follow-up call from BT) Once they had access to the PC I became suspicious since there was no on screen activity and asked them to confirm that they were working for/with BT. They immediately suggested that I should give them my bank details in order to complete the "Fix" at which point I finally woke-up and terminated the call.
I've been running several anti virus packages for the last couple of days but not found anything in the PC.
I'd like to get some feedback from other victims on the long term effectst of the scam? i.e.
(a) just a straight forward scam to obtain money for unnecessary services,
(b) have any trogans /keyloggers/virus's been planted in their PC resulting in lock-ups or malfunctions
(c) has anyone seen unauthorised transactions in Credit Card or bank accounts due to possible theft of passwords.- Caller: login4speed

- LouiseI too had a call from this "company". The first foreign sounding guy was trying to get me to turn on my computer as it was "infected". When I refused he put me on to the "floor supervisor" George Black who also sounded foreign! He was quite insistant that I go and turn on my computer and actually got quite rude. When finally i said I was not going to go onto my PC and give him my settings or change any settings because some one cold called me he said "Then your computer will crash when you turn it on." When I said "are you threatening me?" he hung up. Do not go near with a barge pole!

- Phil| 1 replyThe company called Click2Fix uses Piriform C Ceaner. This is a legitimate software house that develops products for Microsoft. This company is registered at Company House. My computer had slowed down so much it was becomming impossible to use so I used Click 2 Fix as an experiment Any private information was stored on a external Drve which I first disconnected and I keep no Bank or,Card details stored on the main drive. I was concernd about remote registation but the results are amazing. My computer has gone from Model T Ford to FI supercar. I check all my Bank Statements monthly and nothing is missing. Yes the cold call leaves much to be desired and everyone is right to be wary but not everyone is a crook.
Ask yourself this, why offer a one, two or five year deal if they could steal financial details in minutes. I use the cleaning tool weekly and am very pleased I took a chance.- Caller: Click2 fix
- yeah right replies to PhilSo if you're a satisfied customer, why would you even look up the number on here in the 1st place? Satisifed customers don't post this kind of drivel, only the scammers do. You must think the people who find this site are more stupid than you are, but the opposite is true.
- A frnd replies to PaulS 1986Hey dude donrt woorry Its just a fake caal...what is guys does is clean some junks out of your pc so that it performs better....but if you have anew system its just waste of money.......You can get your money back too.....just talk with the bank...or call them and say that you are not satisfied and to return the money.....They cannot take your money without your consent
- David ChristieI had the same call from this company, They claimed that my Internet provider was not safe and they had to change settings on my computer to sort this. I lied and said that I work for my Internet provider in the technical department and asked for them to provide me with more information They quickly changed there tune and gave me there number to call if I wanted them to sort it. They are definitely using some sort of VOIP system.
Beware!!! - Madelon LawsonThey callled me too. Beware. I fell for it. Computer problem still exists.

- patricia| 1 replyi am so upset, with little knowledge of computers i was taken in completly
at a cost of 168£ for so called cover, i am a 74 yr s and can't face admiting to my hubby it was a scam - TimI had a call from login4speed earlier this evening. It sounded a bit fishy -- a woman with a strong Indian accent telling me that computers in my area had had problems. I asked her what organization she worked for. It was very hard to hear what she said but eventually she agreed to spell it out for me. I had my laptop in front of me (she was meanwhile asking me what sort of computer I had, and I was responding by asking her questions and not giving away any information about anything) and when I Googled login4speed it was immediately obvious that it was a scam, though of course it was obvious anyway. I said to her, "I hope I've used up plenty of your time so that you get to scam fewer people," and instead of hanging up she acted insulted and asked me what made me think she was a scammer. I didn't want to say I'd Googled her company because that would have revealed that I had access to Google while on the phone. So I just said that I wasn't a complete fool. She asked whether I honestly thought that a scammer would be so stupid as to ring directly and offer their services like that. I said yes. She said she thought I must have only half a brain and then hung up.
Other people have tried saying that they will boot up their computer but it is very slow at the moment. Then they leave them on the line for 20 minutes. If it happens again I might try that. Has anyone else got any amusing suggestions for stringing them along?- Caller: login4speed

- DianeJune 4th, 2011: Got a call today from an "Alex Wilson" company name Login for Speed. He said he noticed our computer had been compromised and asked if we had been on Windows/Internet just then. This man was Indian or Middle Eastern. He called me by my my last name, which he pronounced with difficulty and spelled back to me. He was very pushy and rude, and wanted to alarm us about problems with our computer, Windows and our sensitive information that had gone out online. He discontinued the call when we started to ask very specific questions about his company, his title, and his phone callback number (which he gave as "toll-free" 626-235-3139). We then googled "Loggin for Speed" - and now know this is a scam. BEWARE

I stopped my card, in an attempt to stop the transactions they took £72 and a further £47.
HSBC declared because they were done on legitimate e-commerce sites with username and password (setup by them), I had no recourse but to pay...
I am considering closing my Bank Account for one that uses UK call centres. The fraudsters obviously know how to use the verification system for Cards. utilise the forgotten password.
they have a mythical address, and appear to be legitimate they are not.- Caller: click2fixs
