all except HSBC they are supposed to protect debit cards, CLICK2FIX use legitimate e-commerce sites (username and password protected -  ) they say they can get the money back from click2fix bank account. but you have to contact them yourselves.

A mythical address in London, they are Internationally recognised fraudsters and UK banks are assisting them by allowing them to defraud their customers.

They use the forgotten password aspect of debit/credit card systems setup by visa to protect us.

giving them your date of birth, allows them access. I am convinced they either worked in an Indian Call centre or had documentation, telling them exactly how to get round it/what questions to ask.

I learnt the hard way, I never give any details over the phone now, simply hang up.

I got a similar call. Phone displayed 00 91 902 567 843. This is a Indian dialing code. Caller said he was calling from Baker Street London! They sound convincing but when I refused to follow his on-screen instructions he got agressive. Kept them going for half an hour though so it cost them!

I got a call from a fellow that said his name was David.  I told him he didn't sound like a David.  He was telling me about the same thing I have been reading from everyone else.  He told me the number he was calling from was 8776239180.  When I called the number back nobody answered.  His number came up unavailable.  I must admit I was not very nice.

The tactics used have moved on a bit.  The original scamming play was to try to persuade you that you had a virus that they 'knew' about.  This lot are trying to tell you that you have non-virus caused infections and other bad things spread to you through email and downloads etc that your anti-virus software won't stop.  'Eating up your hard disk' was the latest scare story.  Take you to Event Viewer and tell you to look for all the yellow and red warnings and try to persuade you that these, mainly really quite normal, items are signs of your PCs imminent death and destruction

The sad thing is that people can be frightened into giving them money and, so far, the banks show little visible sign of stopping them being able to take it.  Hopefully they are doing something behind the scenes

Click 2 solve called me and said i had slow internet and they could solve it so i googled it and found this site and told him about it. He then told me to f-off repeatedly until i hung up. It seems that it's hard for them to hang up, keep them on the line, waste their time. Just leave the phone off the hook and check back and see how long you can tie them up.

i was told that i could sign up for lifetime cover for my computers with this company.  I paid a large amount of money for this.  But now that i need help with my computer i cannot contact them on the number they left me with and my registration number seems to count for nothing! I feel cheated and foolish to have believed in their services.

Fraud/scam still going. Sam Nicholson, English not first language and non European accent called from  Global Computer Technology, at  124 Baker Street Westminster London.Said there was a fault on my computer. Told me he got my number from when computer first registered. Said I'd call them back in five minutes but not going to happen.

Really this guys are making fool of you ... actually you can claim back back your money if its not long..i mean 2-3 weeks... the job they do is very easy..and people should not pay such heft amount for this....Take care of your money..any queries you can contact me..frnds4astro@gmail.com....will help you out...

I was scammed, but did not give any credit card info, but they did gain access to my computer, now what do I do?

What a bunch of to$$ers.  Just had a call (on a Saturday lunchtime) where they went through the whole "virus" routine.  I halted the nonsense ask if they really thought I'd fall for this and then to say don't call me back.  They got aggresive and I hung up.  They rang back straight away.  I answered and had a "colourful" exchange of words with the operative before hanging up.  They called back a further 5 times in the next minute or so and I rejected the calls.  On the sixth call my partner answered and was told I am mentally disturbed and that was probably due to her "not looking after me enough".  They also threatened to ring me back every day for a year.

Ho hum.

just this minute had so called global technology on the phone, from number 002080997526 calling out of 124 baker street london telling me i have an infection on my computer affecting lots of users around me,seen through him ,sent him packing .

An Indian man called Robin Jones called today to say my PC was sending error messages and needed fixing.   He said he was from the Windows Service Centre.  He wanted to do this over the phone, to gain access to my PC.  I said it wasn't a good time, took his name and number and finished the conversation. Clearly a scam.

They have rung me twice recently. On todays call I requested that he place the phone handset up rear orifice, sideways. He wouldn't do it. I pointed out that this is effectively what he was wanting to do to people. Sad muppet hung up shortly after.

Arjunaa Internet Security called me.  Indian man, mentioned Baker Street in London, though calling from India.  Legitimate company I think, but a cold calling annoyance.
