- Ali| 2 repliesHad a call today from this number from a man calling himself John, who, when asked, said he was calling from Westminster, London and that the company was 'Login Speed'! This souonded like an odd company name, and while talking to him, I went online and typed in the number I had asked him to give me, and came across the website which is actually 'click2fixs.com'. I knew this was either a scam or a sales call so hung up. He had been making claims that there were viruses going round on computers, which are undetectable to anti-virus software and making out that this was a helpful 'warning' call etc.
I am registered on the TPS and am surprised that a call like this came through, so I have reported a complaint on the TPS system.- Caller: Click2Fixs.com / Login Speed
- Sally Leighton| 2 repliesI feel a fool if this is a scam. I have paid these people £328 for lifetime cover of 4 computers. They said they would speed up my computer but have not made a significant difference. I have asked for a receipt by email but they say they have server trouble. I have not received anything in writing, I would like an invoice.
I must say, they answer calls and put me in touch with someone who works on the computer remotely and chats on a chat link. However, I've been told since that to improve the start up speed of my computer I need to reinstall windows which has not been suggested to me from this company.- Caller: Click2fixs.com
- Paul| 1 replyAvoid click2fixs.com and the notorious "Harry Williams" like the plague, clearly this outfit are low life sub-continent scammers. Has anyone tried 02088199744?

- ClaireThey called me this evening saying my internet browser was down and needed me to log into my computer straight away to fix. I wasn't convinced and queried everything but still they kept pushing me into putting my computer on - even though my laptop was on infront of me. Told them I was busy but would call them back later to sort it they gave me their number in the end. I've just googled the number and came up with this, thanks for the warning im not that hot on computers but was very weary of them - thanks.

- yeahright replies to peterlongpeterlong your spelling gives you away man.
Bollocks to you sir! - ShazaHad a call from this company today. They are now calling themselves "Login4Speed.com". Like the others, I was told that as I was a Windows user, they could see that I had a red alert flashing meaning that my computer was about to crash.
Unfortunately, I believed them and gave them remote access. They seemed to be cleaning the computer but I had my doubts. Rang the no. they gave 02088199744 but it was out of order. By this time I had already paid £72 for the premium service. I disconnected the computer. Then I called my credit card company who said that the money had been taken out by a company called click2fix.
I have now seen the other messages and feel really stupid.
Have called the no. to ask them to cancel the agreement. The chap I spoke to is busy and have been told he will call back. Will see if he does.- Caller: Login4speed.com
- steve replies to Deethese people get upset when you call back about your 'virus' and waste their time stringing them along - pretending to follow their instructions. Try it - all the while it prevents them making calls
- Mr C S EastonReceived this call today from someone who claimed to be called Jordan. Caller display showed 'International Out of Area' . He told me a red light was flashing against the name of my internet service provider. I then told him he was a con-man after which he became quite irate as if he felt insulted. He eventually said his was a legitimate company and gave me his company's name and the phone number 02088199744. He then kept pressing me to switch on my computer. When i refused he slammed the phone down. I then checked online and found your website.

- Liz| 2 repliesJust had a long phone call telling me my computer and laptop are infected with a serious virus which cannot be removed with ordinary anti-virus software. Was told by 'Derek' that he was calling on behalf of Microsoft and my computer was flashing up on his screen to say my hard drive was going to be wiped by virus imminently.. I have never heard of Microsoft calling up individuals because of viruses and couldnt understand how Derek knew I had a virus on both my main computer and laptop (virus appeared after agreeing to an auto update from Java) at the weekend. When virus appeared I bought Norton Antivirus and as far as Im aware am currently virus free (I hope). Derek definately did not have an English accent and wanted me to go to my computer and immediately sort out this virus. He told me I didnt need internet connection but would guide me through the process. I asked him why couldnt he just give me the details verbally then, and I would write them down and do it later when convenient. I said I wouldnt go on my computer now as I had no guarantee that he was working for Microsoft or one of its subsidiaries. I asked for his companies name and address which he gave as login4speed, his ID ref was 11233 and company address 124 Baker Street London W16. He said the tel number was 0208 8199744. I was going to do last number caller ID but as soon as I put the phone down the phone rang again and it was 'number unknown'
I said I would call him back when I had checked out his details. After reading about all these calls dont think I'll be ringing back any time soon!- Caller: login4speed

- LullyboyI heard about this a while ago so knew what to expect. I asked the first 'foreign' bloke for his phone number, which is the 0208 one listed many times on here. He was calling from 'Login for Speed'. I repeatedly asked him for the city or town he was calling from but he couldn't/wouldn't understand me! After hanging up I dialled the number and spoke to another con artist. He told me he was calling from 134 Baker Street, London. That place must be swarming with Indians as he sounded as if he came from there too. He asked for my phone number so I relayed the following letters: F U C K O F F . Shortly after he hung up - RESULT!!!

- AdamGot a call at about 6.40 from someone from LoginForSpeed called Paul Damian.
Told me to click Start and I said i was using my mac, he said did i have a windows machine I said yes, and he said to start it up.
I smelled scam straight away.
He told me to type in evendvwr into the Start->Run box.
It came up "Windows cannot find...' etc
He then passed me on to an expert.
He told me to Start-> then right click on My Computer and then select Manage.
Then System Tools->Event Viewer then Application.
He asked to scroll down until I saw a red error box.
I said there weren;t any.
He then said what about yellow warnings I said yes I have one, he asked me dis I know what it meant, so I told him it was a google updater warning.
He said that it meant my computer had a virus. :)
He said did my computer run slow, I said No, because I delete unused apps, run a antivirus checker and have a firewall.
He said how long does it take to start up, I said about 15 to 20 seconds, he said it should start in 7 seconds.
I said he was joking this was Windows not Apple or Linux.
He said again that it meant I had a virus, I said no it doesn't mean I have a virus.
He rung off. :) - annoyedhad phone call from someone called Luke Rymell last month said they were from click2fix and partners with microsoft to say that our computer was infected and I paid £72 for year. he said they would email me. and then he loaded on tune up utilities. this now comes up saying that the key I used was illegal and that I my be a victim of software piracy. I never had an email from them. They also loaded other software that appeared to work for a few days. Registrty Booster 2 comes up with more errors every day. About 10 to 15.

- fiona replies to PollySorry you had such a sad time. Yes I had an indian man called David Brown phone me. After much questioning he said he was from a company called www.login4speed.com, Said he was phoning from Baker St London. said there was a Helpline I could phone 02088199744. Gave me my address & told me an IP address (Internet Provider). He wanted me to press 'Windows' key & 'R' to Run. I was not convinced & gave him as little info as possible. He was very determined that I should believe him, then got quite angry that I would not believe him. I said I want to check out his information & he could call back later. He said check it out now on your computer. I did and the company obviously had a website. But when I clicked on the testimonials they would not read. He said this was a technical error. He also said I know you have trusted many people and they have let you down before, I am not one of them & I want you to trust me.
I said I want to check this out thoroughly before I let this intervention go on. He said well many computers in your area have crashed & you could be the next. I insisted I wanted to check this out and speak to other members in my household who use computer. He put the phone on silent his end, I could not make an outgoing call for a good few minutes & when I checked 1471 to find what his number was he had withheld the number. If you were a legitimate company would you do that?? It is a clever scam if you pick a company name & website and pretend to be from them, then keep the person on the phone so they cannot call the company to verify. Looking a t a website says nothing does it. Then you withhold your number. I have had many a call from people saying these things to me, although I usually hang up, this time I wanted to push it as far as I could & get as much info as I could from him. He was very pushy & got quite exasperated that I would not work along with him. Quite right Polly we must not trust any old person who comes to our door or rings up uninvited expecting us to trust them. Best wishes. Fiona - fiona replies to Liz| 1 replyYeah had a guy phone me too from login4speed today. Didnt trust him an inch. Had many a call frompeople like this, but usually put the phone down. This time I thought I would push it as far as I could. Eventually he put phone on mute his end. I thought he had hung up, but he hadn't. I was dialling 1471 to get his number, but the line was blocked. He eventually. hung up. See my reply to POLLY.
How on earth do we stop these people from scaring the vulnerable?
