Report a phone call from 02088618682 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- M.L.Calling at least 2 times a day.I never answer.Let them leave a message if its urgent.
- A| 1 replyThey ring me every day but i never answer. It's amazing how many people are having problems with these people >_>
- emmet gomesphoning me up a lot.
- IanJust had a call from these - Said they were Ipso-Mori. Told them they shouldn't be calling me as line is TPS registered. They claimed they are exempt from TPS. What's the point of TPS if this lot can still bother you?
- Caller: Ipso-Mori
- anonIpsos Mori are legally allowed to call you. They are excempt from TPS and all other 'call blockers', simply because it is market research and no sales are attempted to be made. Stop moaning and bluddy grow up.
- IanOK let's all call 'anon' and conduct 'market research'.
A nuisance call is a nuisance call whatever they're ringing about. If it's not from a company you have a relationship with they should not be calling at all. The fact that TPS does not cover this (http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/faq/#seventeen) is wrong. - anonWhy is it wrong though?
Just because you have an opinion that you 'don't want to be called' doesn't mean it can stand for others. At the end of the day would you still rather be given the chance that you could comment on a whole range of social issues? The TPS is to stop nuisance sales calls, not genuine market research.
I don't see why people get so worked up about it. Go ahead and call me.
I work for Ipsos Mori by the way and we have to deal with this day in, day out. - IanThe problem is that without contacting every different market research company, there is no way to blanket block these calls. If you read up the comments you'll see that others also consider this to be a flaw in the regulations and far from being random, some are being called continuously - clearly a nuisance.
It would be better if TPS offered a couple of tick boxes: Do you want to block direct marketing, market research or both?
Regarding being given the chance to voice my opinion, it may interest you to know that I also avoid so-called market researchers who patrol shopping precincts. Personally, I take the Mori polls shown on TV with a pinch of salt as they are too often used as blunt political tools to justify the opinion of the organisation who commissioned the research.
If I want to give my opinion I will offer it to the correctly targeted person, not someone who chooses to interrupt me on a Saturday afternoon.
You say you have to deal with this day in, day out. If you don't like it, try another job. - anonI Understand your frustration there; it is however, those people that are claiming that it is illegal to call at certain hours. Ipsos MORI never call after 9pm at night - 7pm at the weekend. Those that do find it a continuing nuisance should ask to have their number removed, not ranting on some website because they can't be bothered to say "Sorry I don't want to, can you stop my number from being dialled again?"
I enjoy my job as it is interesting and diversified, it's just the people that shout foul abuse down the phone when all they needed to say was no thanks, stop calling. In the unlikely event that they are called again, then obviously they should take it up more seriously with the company.
Those that are wanting to sue/report to BT go ahead. Everything is perfectly legal. - jennyKeep getting calls from this number, late at night and now on a Sunday!! I just keep putting phone down on them.
- bollThis bunch of losers have put me on high rotation so the subhumans are calling up to three times a day. I told the sad pathetic man with the very foreign accent that i'm not willing to do his "market research" but as is often the case the moron left my number on the system. So, as i do with most harrassing cold callers, i now waste their time by letting them call as much as they like and i simply don't take the call so the morons keep wasting their time over and over again...we need a national vigilante organisation and along with locking up robbers, muggers, teenagers with guns and knives it should also neutralise this oppressive capitalist big business and the antisocial morons who make money out of persecuting and harrassing us and reducing our privacy and quality of life in this tedious annoying manner...
- Caller: Mori? Moron?
- EGdidnt pick up
- mostannoydsecond time i've received call from this number, second time i've refused to answer it!! they leave no message, so can't be that important!!
- SiTo stop this number calling, you can go to this website
http://www.ipsos-mori.com/have-we-contacted-you-by-telephone.ashx
or email them directly:
telephone@ipsos-mori.com
And make a request to not be contacted by them ever again! ..and maybe give them a peace of your mind!
This is the simple way, however I think I prefer S B's method. Must try that in the future on these b*****d spammers!! - EmmaHave received several calls from this number over the past few days. We never answer the phone unless we know who it is and we are also registered with the TPS.
After reading the above posts and discovering who it is, I have (as suggested) logged onto the IPSOS Mori site and filled in their online form using an old email address and different name. I told them that we would charge them £100 for any further calls made to our telephone number and that any calls made would be deemed as acceptance of this contract price.
Let's see what happens!- Caller: IPSOS Mori
- AshGot a call from this number this morning, twice in an hour. Missed it both times. But next time I'll put it on speakerphone and play 'Every Cuss Word We Know'
- TrishaI got a call from this company this morning. I asked the woman how she got my telephone number because I'm not in the book. I told her if their called again i was going to contact ofcom
- PeteJust received a call from this number.
Have emailed telephone@ipsos-mori.com asking them politely to remove my number as per the instructions on their website. Should hopefully be removed from their list within 24 hours.
This should be all you need to do to stop the calls folks. - anon"I mean how would you like it if I walked into your work and started shouting and swearing at you?"
Excuse me but we don't go to the place you work. YOU bring yourselves into our homes without permission.
This is why we get so angry and agressive. - ChrisSo THAT'S who's calling.
I've started recording some silly voices onto my pc; so that when I receive a call from this number (and others) I just answer and click on play.
Can't wait for the next call. =]
