this stupid calling servise keeps ******* calling me

I too was getting very angry about this company calling me. I was ranting and raving at them down the phone after numerous calls at all times at night. Now however I use them as a part of my entertainment regime. I answer their questions but with the most ridiculous answers I can think of. for example:
caller:who do you bank with?
"I have an offshore account"
caller: but who is it with
Me: "I would rather not say, but it is swiss"
Caller: (long pause), what is your occupation
Me: "I work in import and export"
Caller: as a clerk or in customs, what is your job title ?
Me: "I havent really got a job title but the government agencies list me as a crime lord"
Caller: riggghhht errmm

and so it goes on until I get bored. brightens the evening and eases the pain of the call

Called this morning and left no message. I like to be left alone particularly on a Sunday! Great to know others get these calls and will be ignoring the calls from now on...

Phoned to ask about my leisure activities. Said he was from Ipsos. I asked how they acquired my number. He said that calls are randomly generarated until someone answers.

Got a call this afternoon. Wanted to know about my views on local services.

Said I was not interested.  Then he asked me why I wasn't.  I said that I don't give my details or views over the phone.

Don't these people know its the 21st Century and strangers on the end of the phone are not welcome!

So much for being on TPS.  That was a waste of time joining that service!

i am so infuriated, this number calls every day at the same time, WHY?  thank god for my answering machine.

This number rang yesterday evening. Don't know what they wanted. Just people talking or mumbling in the background. Go away!

Crazy spooky stuff! They just rang here when I sent the above reply! So two unwanted calls from this lot. Get away to ****!

My elderly mother got one of these calls asking how she liked living in her small village (the caller knew which village). She worried for 5 days thinking she was going to be burgled. It shouldn't be allowed.

02088 618 682 called me in the middle of my only day off work, Sunday.  I am registered with Telephone Preference Services.  How can these people call my private number and ask to do a survey?  What gives them the right to do that?  Can someone give me a link to complain about these disrespectful privacy invaders?

"hello this is Ipsos Mori, would you like to participate in a survery?"

"oh, you know what, I'm going out right now.  Can I take your home number and I'll call you back?"

"er, em, no, we're not allowed to do that"

"because you don't like people calling you at home?"

"yes"

"well, now you know how I feel"

This number has called me two days in a row but I am registered with the Telephone Preference Service and do not want these calls.

Just got a call from this number 1 pm on Saturday!
I didn't answer it as out of hours calls are directed to my mobile so I have to pay for them. I make a point of only answering local calls which might actually be business related instead of all the c*** calls I get these days. Isn't it a sorry state of affairs when people are reluctant to answer their own phones?

In the last 24 hrs this number has tryed to call us 5 times !!! we havw got to the point we are not answering our phone and doing the 1471 if it someone we want to talk to we call them back. We shoulden't have to avoid our phone like this, we are xd + on telephone pref but they said if its market reasurch they can't blook it WHAT CAN WE DO?

To those who claim to work for Ipsos-Mori - you say they only phone within permitted hours, so explain why many of us are receiving calls from your 'service' late at night (well after the 9pm shut off you claim).  Ditto on Sundays, and before 9am other days?

Let's be honest here, your computer has SOME random numbers, but the rest have been bought, otherwise they wouldn't know the names and addresses of those they are calling.  Even when you ask them nicely to stop calling, they don't.

And why are the operators not at their headsets when the calls are made?  many of these are 'silent' calls, which is annoying for some, but downright frightening for many.

With 18 pages and counting, it's about time this company revised it's policy, and rather than defending/abusing those on here who are legitimately complaining about the harassment, why not instead bring it up with the higher-ups in your company and point out the problems?  because at this rate, this company will find itself on BBC Watchdog, and then NO-ONE will be participating in surveys!

2 missed calls but phone did not ring, I am also on TPS, very annoying

This number keeps phoning me especially when I am at work dealing with vulnerable people.  wish they would stop, they are a nuisance
