took the right decision to not answer and let the new number leave a message - no message left

I have now saved the number as "DO NOT ANSWER"

They called on a sunday at 11am and again on Tue at 8pm. Market Research for a company ive never heard of in relation to products ive never purchsed/registered for! Very annoying

Hi everyone, this number is a market research company and they get your telephone number via transport for london (TFL).  TFL has your details and passes those details on for research purposes.. (I don't agree with any unwanted calls) but that is who they are. They are asking for a few mins BUT they mean 10 mins. TFL basically want to know how they can better their service. By the way I did not spend more than 1 min on the call but I did ask questions hence info above.

I would probably call TFL (CC) and ask them not to allow your number to be used for market research.

They satated they got numbers "randomly genenrated" and another one told me it was from Daily Telpgraph .... I dont think these guys are being completely honest

This number keeps calling me at all times of day and night. i answered it once and told them I was not interested, but they keep calling several times a day. What can I do?

I have received several calls from this number, always seeking personal data I am not prepared to share with an un-identified caller!

I was called by this number earlier this evening on my mobile (which is a first for me). Guy wanted to know about my computer use. He then asked several questions about my personal circumstances. When I told him what I had done for a living prior to retiring, he said that they'd already got enough responses from people in that line of work and hung up.

Very unusually for an Englishman I lived for a long time without the benefits of mass production and i know how hard it is  without good government and industry.  Actually with the population we have, these surveys are sometimes an absolute requirement and should be compulsory.

All mass producers and large organisations who deal with over a hundred thousand or so customers, and a lot of small ones besides,  be it shirts, toilet bowls, houses, government services,  nhs, newspapers you name it ......they all need accurate information on what the needs of the population in which they operate.   Everybody in this kind of research knows that one of those needs is privacy.  Unfortunately this is only one need,  and it has to be balanced against the needs of people who keep you fed, clothed housed and so on.

That's why  I don't feel bad about knocking on your door  to find out what  you want, and why I'm suggesting  SOME of these calls are useful to you.  It's nothing personal, but it's  for your personal benefit benefit a lot of this random calling is happening.   There are villains,  but genuine researchers  are really helping to improve your life.  Even very smart people  don't always understand this and I've had inadvertent abuse from very educated sounding people as well as the obvious idiots.

Sorry to lecture you on this Ladies and Gentlemen,  but you really need to know that Market and Opinion Research supports the industries and governments which are making YOUR lives comfortable.

Their Edinburgh office based complaints manager is Ian Douglas on 0131 - 561 - 4603. Pester him and tell him you want to be on the "do not contact" list for this and every other project.

Received a call each evening for last 2 days. No idea who this is but they never leave a message. Am guessing its market research .Am definately not calling back to find out! I am registered with TPS

They've called about 4 times now..WHAT DO I SAY TO THEM?

I'm having the same number (well, there are actually 3 or 4) that keeps calling during work ours and sometimes in the evening. As with many others I am registered on TPS and I still get the calls.

I find it completely disgusting that these calls come from machines who wait til you answer before they assign anyone to it. Its an invasion of privacy and when you do get to speak to someone they very rudely hang up when you tell them you don't have debts.

Why can't phone companies make handsets that can barr particular numbers? That's surely the quickest way to stop them. The only reason I feel this may not be possible is because these call centres must be subsidised by the providers.

Altogether awful!

Has anybody spoken to these people and managed to get there number removed if please advise how cause really getting the hump with these chuffing idiots that have nothing better to do with there time than annoy me !!!

Received a call from this number yesterday. They said they were the phone company 3.

Had a call from this number claiming to be doing a survey on behalf of the NHS.

Oh, and to Bob Long. Yes, you are being patronising. You also sound like an evangelist. It's tele-sales. Not the ultimate truth of life... get over yourself.

had an unwanted calls from mori its there number,go onto the site click contact us,fill out form with any rubbish uou likt,address to BEN PAGE who CEO of this mob,then in subject click unwanted calls  enjoyself i did   tell him what you think of his company,may do some good,but it makes you feel better
